  1. Karl Urban. and Karl Urban and karl Urban. Um... Ok, ok... Sean Bean and possibly David Wenham or Billy Boyd.
  2. Adding my voice to the Bam Bam chorus Other than that, Paul McGillion. There are others I'd like to meet, but none that would be a deciding factor in whether or not I attend. (But if you really *must* bring Amanda Tapping and RDA along, I guess I'll have to live with that... )
  3. Agreed! Bring back Bam Bam, and I'll change my mind and find a bank to rob so I can attend
  4. Hehe... Hubby was searching online for stargate costumes and told me you had a picture of me up... Obviously I didn't do a good enough job hiding behind the Jaffa
  5. Ben Browder, Paul McGillion and Cliff Simon. And Shanks, Judge, Claudia, and just about everyone else... lol. But no Joe Flanigan... I'm fed up with him
  6. What's wrong with a B&B? I guess, most a the time, you will be at the Con anyway, so isn't a B&B okay? While I was travelling in Ireland I spend almost every night in a B&B. Nothing wrong with B&Bs really, but as facilities and often times you can return are limited, I'd only want to consider it as a last resort. I was wanting to stay somewhere a little nicer, as it's my birthday, but £400 is a little too nice, lol. I was kinda hoping for the Park Inn because it has a gym, and the Swan at least has a pool, but I guess I'll just have to see if they'll let non-guests use the facilities for a fee... I stayed at the Park Inn during the Rhythm Festival this August; some friends stayed at the Swan and said it was very nice (hence the price) but the food wasn't up to much (unlike the Park). Anyway, the festival website did have a list of accommodation, which is still up at http://www.rhythmfestival.net/accomodation.html Obviously the stuff at the top of the list is the stuff nearest the festival site, but if you go about a third of the way down, you'll find "Accommodation in Bedford". You can then use this to check how far each option is from the Park Inn by using maps.google.co.uk and entering the Park Inn (MK42 0AR) as one point and the postcode of any other hotel as another point. Obviously I (nor for that matter the Rhythm Festival, I suppose) can comment on how good or bad any other hotel etc may be, but I guess that it may be of use... Thank you, I'll have a look through and see if I can find something I like the look of. In the meantime I'm feeling a little guilty for hoping for cancellations at the Park Inn so I can get a room there, lol!
  7. Park Inn was sold out by the time I found out... *sobs* The only place I could find that wasn't a B&B was the Swan Hotel. Almost next door to the Park Inn, but costs 3 times as much. I booked a room but will probably end up cancelling it, as there's no way I can afford £400 for accommodation that weekend! but I'm on the waiting list for the Park Inn, so if I'm lucky I won't have to find somewhere to pitch a tent! lol.

    Noooooo!

thanks everyone! I'm sorry for those who were counting on Shanks being there, although for me personally it's excellent news... this way I can do both Still, I'm planning on visiting GMex 3 beforehand, and am going to make a special effort toi go to all the other events, so I suppose I shouldn't feel too bad about missing this one. And those of you who're going to join me in drooling over meeting Jensen... see you there!

    Noooooo!

he is, but so is Jensen... Anyways, I think it's too late now... hubby just told me he's booked me a weekend ticket for the other one, so I guess I'll have to get hold of Shanks some other time... Awwww, thank you, that's really kind! I will make a note of it and let you know nearer the time whether I'll take you up on it. I'm going to have to get my finances in order first, lol.
  19. sammy

    Noooooo!

I know, he was at the first Gmex con. but as I didn't start watching sG-1 until a month after the event, I had no idea who he was, lol *is kicking self now* Still, I'm thinking he'll be easier to track down in future than Jensen, so I'll probably not be going this time Or maybe I could win the lottery?
  20. This is the weekend before a Supernatural & Smallville event I'm also wanting to go to. there's no way I can afford both So now I have to choose between michael shanks and jensen Ackles? Jeesh, of all thew difficult choices that one takes the biscuit!
