  1. Really enjoyed Serenity and absolutely L O V E D Firefly. Serenity is darker, which is great, but for me it lacked some of the dry, dead-pan humour of Firefly. Saying that, there are actually some very funny lines in Serenity as well. Also, Mal Reynolds reminded me a little too much of Harrison Ford in Serenity, even down to the hairstyle - but who needs a Harrison Ford clone when you already have perfection - Nathan Fillion !?!?!? There are a lot (well, some...) great action/sci-fi movies around, but the combination of sci-fi, the Western theme and Joss's wicked sense of humour - perfectly delivered by the brilliant cast - was just really special and unique. Had I not known Firefly, I would have loved Serenity even more than I did anyway. If there is going to be a Serenity trilogy, I will get myself a block booking for the cinema and probably won't leave again until I know every line off by heart. What I really want, though, is another series (or 10, 20, more...) of Firefly! BRING BACK FIREFLY - now !!!
  2. Thanks Keeper and Too Tall - my sister and I will probably get ourselves to LFCC for both days - that way it's hopefully guaranteed we'll see him.
  3. Ditto - let's have the captain and his whole crew! Wouldn't that just be...well... SHINEY!
  4. Showmasters, can you please tell us whether Nathan Fillion will be at LFCC on both days?? Thank You
  5. Adam Baldwin - great, that's one guy I really want to meet! Hope he brings the captain! P.S. SM, how's about some more Firefly/Serenity guests?
  6. I'm going for the Nathan Fillion photo shoot only as it would get too expense otherwise (though I would have loved to have one taken with EW as well). I'm sure I will feel like a right dickhead standing next to someone who doesn't know me from Eve, but hey...
  7. Got to be Nathan Fillion followed by Elijah Wood who I've met at C4 - can't wait!!
  8. I have a feeling Andrea may prefer Jason does the first one Point taken! I'm afraid until fairly recently I didn't even know what Jason looked like (although now I've seen the picture of him earlier on in the thread), let alone know anything about his personal live, but it sounds like my friend will have to direct her attentions elsewhere then. I'm sure there will be enough (actor) guests she can scare with her affections!
  9. Photo session on the Sunday - but that doesn't mean he's only going to be there on Sunday, does it? OMG, DOES IT?????????? Oh, and what about the talks? Will Nathan Fillion be in any talks? If so, will it be Saturday or Sunday? Getting close now and some of us have to make arrangements (book hotel, travel etc.) Please let us know soon!
  10. Thanks for that Marc! And by the way you don't suck onstage because I've seen you twice now and thought you were great, but please be magnanimous and don't make Jason kiss your butt! He can kiss my friend instead (though that's probably even worse punishment for him!!) On a more serious note, I am really looking forward to Ring Con coming to the UK, because it is one of those events you would probably enjoy even without a single guest present. Hope it's going to be held at a hotel, the way it's done in Germany and hope that Schelmisch can be signed up too, but I'll be patient and will keep my eyes peeled for info nearer the time.
  11. What a great guest!! This means I will definitely have to try and make this event as well - Showmasters you're costing me money (and I love you for it!) . And talking of Buffy, any chance of getting Nathan Fillion ( ) for C10?
  12. Thank you for the quick response. I did actually get the point about a joint partnership between SHOWMASTERS and another show GmbH in the UK and think that's a very good thing as Germany is a long way to travel to, but was just wondering with Showmasters being involved as well, whether there would be any visible presence, with for instance someone from the Showmasters team appearing on stage etc. And just for the record, the reason I'm asking is not because I think the event would be less enjoyable if that were not to be the case, but because I know someone who likes Jason and who I'm sure would be interested to know.
  13. Just read about NF attending LFCC and my only comment is:
  14. Good news about another show coming to the UK. I went to the first couple of RingCons in Cologne and enjoyed them! Will the Showmasters be there and taking part as well or only the people who normally run the RingCons in Germany?
  15. Elijah Wood Dominic Monaghan Sean Astin David Boreanaz Anyone from Lord Of The Rings Naveen Andrews
  16. I voted for Charlie, but Sayid is a very close second.
  17. Elijah Wood Dominic Monaghan Charlie Hunnam
  18. I wasn't sure whether it would be my kind of film but I've seen Green Street twice now and loved it - whether you're an Elijah fan or not, this is a brilliant film and I may just go and watch it a third time. Elijah was great in it (and looked great in it!!!) and so was Charlie Hunnam, despite a slightly dodgy Cockney accent. GO SEE IT TODAY !!!!!!!!!!!
  19. I missed it! Any idea whether it's going to be repeated some time?????
  20. Some info regarding 'Hooligans' Hooligans will be released in the United States 9th September in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles(originally it was going to be the 16th September). The rest of the US will get Hooligans on a "rolling basis" which means that every two weeks, or so, another city will get to see it. AS Odd Lot Entertainment could not find a Hollywood studio to release the film they have decided to independently release it in theatres, so it will not have the support of the traditional Hollywood machine and the normal advertising etc. It will be released under the title "Green Street Hooligans" in the US and "Green Street" in the U.K., as that is the location of the West Ham Stadium. I prefered Hooligans, but there you go. As long as I get to see the film I don't really care too much. I'm pretty sure the release date for the UK is the 26th August and the UK premiere on the 22nd August (don't know where though, I think in London). Roll on August!!!!!!
  21. Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan and Sean Bean
