Can someone please update the website then?!! He is STILL listed on there as attending even now, which is very annoying as on the weekend I checked the website only for who was still there (not the forum as I couldnt get onto it from where I was), and bought a couple of items for him to sign specifically for a friend and I! I then get told late last night he's cancelled, which they didnt know about either, and I just come on here to find the cancellation was announced almost TWO WEEKS AGO!

Which event? You've posted in general chat. Though I too am in the same boat in that ive emailed the shop regarding Chevron 8.0 with a potentially urgent issue and have also not heard back..

If your that bothered about the waiting around and nothing else to do etc etc, why not look at going from somewhere else maybe?! You seem intent on being as cheap as possible, yet will only consider direct routes. Why not look at coaches from Birmingham or even London? My train from Birmingham to MK on the friday is only costing me about £3, and going home via London, MK > Lon is costing me £8 I think it is. So, why not look at getting something from one of those places maybe? You may save on costs, and not waiting around until 2am, otherwise your going to get very very bored!

Just noticed something whoever does the website may want to look into..Ray Park and Richard Poe are both on that list for all 3 days.. The main website though on the guests page, and which ive been running off to plan things for the last month or so, says they are both Sunday only. Had a look for the guest announcement thread though and they do say all three days, so think the website needs bit of an update.

Well..can I just ask whatever happened to the reply here then? Just came across this post, in a thread in the lfcc section..so I guess you can say I found the needle in the haystack on this occasion, and glad now I only ordered £10 and £15 vouchers given they are now full price again!! I have only generally been checking in THIS one, but as there was still no answer, had to take a chance and buy already. Could we not get one singular thread somewhere, rather than several all over the forums, all with different amounts of info in?!!

Probably a silly question, but I assume if we bought a £10 voucher, then at whatever show, for say a £15 autograph, could use the £10 voucher, then £5 cash? Similar thing, what if you had a £20 voucher, but the autograph was £15? Would we get £5 change still?

Finally! Was never interested in him before GI Joe, then he kept having to pull out before not being announced again. Hopefully this time lucky!

Very nice!! Was only looking up info about her the other night after Tremors was on, wondering what shes up too these days, and thinking how cool but unlikely it would ever be her doing an event! Dont know if to get something from Tremors or Jurassic park signed though

I'm looking forward to you starting a thread entitled "Interesting things to do in Northampton on a late November weekend" Hey its not that hard..Northampton has loads of delights to sample this time of year.. Can take a nice stroll up to the shopping center, randomly walk between the ibis and park inn hotels, try each kebab shop on the main high street.. If you're feeling REALLY adventerous, then you can take a walk around the beer factory after dark, through pitch black country lanes, never knowing what might be around the next corner or bush, and a couple of miles down the road is a cinema and ANOTHER retail park..spoilt for choice!! Well, thats what I did anyway after Warp 10 got cancelled, but decided to still make a weekend of it!

Or not if you book non refundable, as people have done..Booking via your own means is often much cheaper, though as the case with this event, you get burnt should any problems happen..

Now thats not on, if you mentioned it straight away, you should have been allowed back through as people have said. All I can maybe think, and apologies if this isnt the case, but maybe you left and came back sometime later and asked, though it doesnt sound like that.

Can I just step in for a moment and bring to peoples attention something from the very first post of the thread.. So come on people, if you have complaints, or praise, keep them to other threads and not in this one! Just vote in the poll pretty please?

As jael001 said, Im nothing to do with running the show, im just an attendee who has been doing events for years. Blue or red shirt? If it was a blue shirt, the red shirts are in charge, so if it unfortunatly happens again, speak to a red shirt next time about it. Regarding this, you have to consider the place the event was at. Being a show hall, there was no dedicated checkouts etc. I believe the card machines being used by the show itself for autograph/photo sales were brought in by them, so if the stalls didnt bring anything similar themselves, then there would have been no way for them to take card payments. As I said before, im just a regular attendee who likes attending the shows.

Were they holding their dslr's up the whole talk? Must have good arm muscles for that lol! I can hold mine up for a couple of mins tops before my arms feel like dropping off!

If you dont mind me asking..why were you standing around waiting for so long for photoshoots? They would have been called in number order usually (your number being on your ticket), so why wait around for hours when you could have gone away, browsed stalls, got autographs etc, then come back later on? You would have still gotten your photoshoots..If you were a low number then fair enough, I too would have expected to be in and out pretty quick. If you were a high number though, then of course there would be a wait, but considering the shoot slots wernt even that long, thats what is confusing me? Just curious..but glad you had a good time otherwise :) Personally id call that the sign of a good show You realise they had THREE halls booked right? S8-S10 for the show, while N10 was for the morning queuing. This is to everyone saying they have wanted to go to a Trek con in the past, so apologies Grace3 for quoting your post in this instance. There have been many opporunities over the last several years to attend trek cons, just not as well advertised as this one was. Showmasters who co ran this show, attempted to run a Star trek convention on they're own before called Warp 10, twice, but didnt go ahead due to lack of numbers interested Im assuming then that no-one actually knew of this event before now? Sorry, but I dont get the bit about the maps, as there were several that I saw inside the event, AND outside on the concourse? Im assuming you managed to miss every single one then? I actually thought it was a very good size, for an event of its size! Most uk events are MUCH MUCH more cramped and rammed to the rafters! Compared to the big London film and comic con each summer, run by showmasters, DSTL was a breeze lol

So i've seen a lot of people complaining about the show, and also a lot of people also liking it. So lets have a little poll..did you enjoy the show overall, yes or no? I don't care why you didnt like it, or why you did, just give an answer, yes or no.. Yes I have some issues with things, but I also knew what to expect, and overall in the grand scheme of things, I DID still enjoy the event. So for me, ive said yes.. Now..your turn!

From the TFL email I had this morning regarding the DLR: "On Saturday and Sunday, there is no service between Canning Town and Beckton due to Crossrail work. On Sunday, there is no service between London City Airport and Woolwich Arsenal due to Crossrail work."

Are they being sent recorded delivery? No-one will be home from tues next week, so if they are recorded, then I probably wont recieve them!
