  1. As a fellow Bluenose I would have to second that! And Obafemi Martins too. Big wish would be Lionel Messi, although I'd want him to sign a contract to play for Blues, not a photo lol. Pele would be awesome.
  2. It's just a matter of taste. While I'm always happy to see SW guests, I don't care about Harry Potter. My girlfriend thinks I'm nuts as for her it's the other way around. I'm just gutted I can't go as the gf is due to give birth to our second child on the 29th and I just can't run the risk of being in London if she goes ito labour slightly early. Still, will have something much better - and way more expensive in the long run - than a couple of autographs haha! I think it's great to see some of the sports guest too. Again, it's a matter of taste. A lifelong Gooner would love to meet the old players yet may not care about anything else there. Theres just one sports guest there who I have met a couple of times before who I have been found to be downright rude - and seen doing some things that they really shouldn't - but they are popular with a lot of people. I'll leave it at that though, I'm not naming names.
  3. JEJ is uncredited in ROTS and it's never been confirmed that he has actually spoke those lines or whether it was previous recordings spliced together. The clue also said that the character speaks, nothing about actually appearing. And this seems a good a time as any to ask: If JEJ refuses to charge for autographs, couldn't SM just pay him for his time / travelling costs / accomodation etc? With people getting his autograph for free, there would be more people paying to get into the event so there would be more revenue from that, and more dealers may want to attend, again increasing revenue for SM? Just wondered...
  4. Great excuse for not wanting her there - because you can't make it!? It beggars belief to be honest. Of course I'd want people to meet her, and I wouldn't want to stop anyone from meeting anyone that they wanted to. I was just trying to convey how gutted I would be to miss her if she appeared at the one show I can't make without having several body parts removed by her indoors.
  5. Shirley Manson - as stated earlier - for Garbage and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Flea from RHCP for BTTF 2 Louise Wener from Sleeper, well just for the teenage boy still in me haha. The lads from James do signings every now and again and Tim Booth played Mr Zasz in Batman Begins. Bonehead or Tony McCarroll from Oasis may realistically do a signing. I've already met Guigsy and I think Noel & Liam would be a bit of a stretch.......
  6. Please God no!!! I'd love to meet Carrie Fisher, but the other half is due to give birth on the 29th November so it's the one event I really can't go to......... Any other time and I'd be well up for it.
  7. Top 10 Films The Shawshank Redemption Pulp Fiction Empire Strikes Back High Fidelity Serendipity City Of God Godfather Part 2 Almost Famous Chasing Amy The Italian Job (Original) Top 10 Guests (however improbable, and in no order) George Lucas Harrison Ford Kevin Smith Max Von Sydow James Earl Jones Bill Murray Dan Ackroyd John Cusack Arnold Schwarzenegger Sigourney Weaver
  8. Jean Claude Van Damme played the Predator but was uncredited. Some of his scenes are still in the film, probably distance shots.
  9. I would have to go for Carl Weathers too. Not really bothered about asking him about the Rocky franchise, but Happy Gilmore cracks me up when I need a laugh!!
  10. Let's get some of those members of the Jedi Council back or at the very least folks like Jerome Blake, Alan Ruscoe, Silas Carson etc. that playted multiple parts. Also, AHMED BEST!!!!!!! Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams, Peter Mayhew, Irvin Kerschner etc have all done SM gigs before so they could be asked again. I don't want this to sound horrible, but a lot of the original trilogy guests aren't getting any younger....... As for Star Wars, it would be unbelieveably awesome if James Earl Jones could come over. For us horror fans, he would be good as he was in Exorcist 2 aswell (even if it was a bad film....) Ellen Burstyn & Max Von Sydow from the Exorcist would be good. A full Cenobite reunion would make a good talk, (Doug Bradley does do his "Evening With Death" talk) and add Clive Barker, Ashley Laurence, Andrew Robinson & Claire Higgins too. The only TV show I have ever truely loved was Quantum Leap so Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell would be great and there could be a good talk there too..........
  11. It would be better if it was a Horrormania instead....... you know...... just throwing the suggestion out there
  12. Any information that you put on here that can be easily used to find a competitors event will be removed. Dates, locations and especially the name can all be typed into Google easily and can lead you to the competitors site. This forum is for Showmasters events. Anything that mentions competitors is in breach of the forum regulations set by Showmasters, so that's why your post would've disappeared.
  13. I second that. Even though I'm a Coventry local, the Ricoh can be a pain in the ar#e to get to - even if you a driver. I went last Sunday with a carload of people and a buggy and it wasn't great, but the NEC is way more accessible to a lot more people. And as a Birmingham City fan, it pains me to have to pay to get into the Ricoh, no matter what it's for!
