  1. I'm off to Budapest in Feb... really want to do the Hungarian Phrasebook sketch 'Drop your panties Sir William, I cannot wait 'til lunchtime' lololol
  2. was on the train to Liverpool once... in our near empty carriage two girls were dressed very stylishly and I thought they looked very 'London'... turns out it was the ginger one and another one from Girls Aloud. They got off at glamorous Runcorn. About 10 of us queuing to see Paul McCartney in Sheffield... he drove past us all waving. That was a shock!!
  3. Lou Carpenter is from my home town... Hurray for Hampshire!!! lol
  4. have you ever played the exciting Google game to find out 'things' about yourself by typing your name and is into the search engine... like I put in "Suzanne is" (with inverted commas) and apparently I am a beautiful young orphan who dances for coins in the street; a school psychologist; the Korean Lucille Ball; a people person; coming back later to do a dive with Alan, and eyeing the knife in front of me rather ominously (don't panic... the last one certainly isn't true...)
  5. Ray Park - he's such a sweet guy, friendly and nice to talk to as well as happy to pose for lots of pics (or he was at Collectormania anyway) And he looks nothing like Darth Maul in real life
  6. I have to confess I don't know much about Adam and the Ants *runs and hides* But I so so so want to be a dandy highway(wo)man so I might just sit here and look at the pics
  7. Thanks I'll email you, don't want to mention the name here in case moderators swoop down and claw me
  8. I quite like MK, but as a crap driver I have issues with the roundabouts...
  9. I cried at AI too, it was just so weird and sad... and at Million Dollar Baby (when I wasn't cringing) Beaches!!! Titanic LOTR... Arwen and Aragorn *sob* erm I tend to cry at most stuff, even when people are really happy, like when the mission is saved in Apollo 13 blub
  10. Have copied this over from the Doctor Who thread because I'm not getting any luck there Does anyone happen to be going to Cardiff (although forum rules mean I can't say why... my clue is Paul McGann ) on Sunday 20th November? I need a roomie because it's very expensive for someone to go by themselves. I haven't booked a room just yet, but I wanted to go for two nights so does anyone want me to stay in their room/book one to share? I don't mind if you're male or female (pref. over 18 though, and with a decent pair of hair straighteners). please send me a message or something if you're interested. xx
  11. Good point, I hadn't really thought much about his clothing to be honest. David Tennant's Doctor looks like being a very snappy dresser, from the pictures I've seen he looks pretty cool. Does anyone think the Doctors we grew up with affected our dress sense as adults? as someone who grew up watching Sylvester McCoy, I seem to have a range of suspect clothing/stripy jumpers etc and I'm not very good at finding outfits that match coincidence or not?! lol anyone out there who loves long scarves (or cricket outfits?)
  12. perhaps Diet Coke has a shorter half life? I love Pepsi, but stay away from the Max unless you want to be burping for the next month :)
  13. Saw the West End show a couple of weeks ago and it is amazingly fantastic! Let's get John Gordon-Sinclair along to Collectormania 9 :) "when you're down and out, and everybody thinks you're finished, that's the time to stand up on your own two feet and shout 'Who do you have to f**k to get a break in this town?'" good advice
  14. Szechuan is nice but it's so spicy I usually go red and start choking lol. there's a chinese buffet thing I've been to in Portsmouth before... the mains weren't great but for dessert there were lychees and coconut flavoured jelly cubes plus help yourself ice cream Mmmmm!!!!
  15. don't you hate bathroom slots in the morning... ...when your little sister says you have to get up at 6.40am to wash your hair, only for it to get to 7am and she decides she's too ill to go into college, so you've had to get up about 45min early for NO REASON??? phew lol
  16. It was great fun, same as always I got to visit my friends in MK and meet the celebrities I admire, what could be better? I think I'm beginning to conquer my nerves so I can speak to guests a little more coherantly which is good :) and I got a smile and a few words from Shatner, so I have no reason to complain (all we needed was a better map so next time we decide we want to visit Toys R Us in Northampton, we get there a lil quicker. but of course can't hold Showmasters responsible for that lol)
  17. Older = more experience. Maybe to stop them making any mistakes they did in their previous incarnation? either that or something to do with the casting team lol.
  18. Ohhh now I'm ill too!!!!! actually my friend had a cold so it might not be your fault Chris. but I have a feeling a lot of celebs will have to put filming off when they come down with something :)
  19. same here. It's easy to go to any website and just buy his autograph but I think it's nicer watching them do it. I try not to expect anything from them so if they do smile, that's a bonus. I was very lucky to get a smile, eye contact and a few words. The thing was, he was super-busy. One crew member told us WS signed 16 autos a min. and I'm sure I heard one person say 'I liked you in Star Trek' - come on, if the guys has to hear inane comments like that all day long I'm not suprised he seemed a grump. :)
  20. I didn't really meet many people this time round, but here's who I thought deserved thanks - Chris Barrie - Very polite and friendly. Had a nice long chat, and he even let me get my picture taken again when the first one didn't come out :) Pleasure to meet! William Shatner - yes an interesting choice :) I wasn't expecting much because I knew he would be rushed, no photos etc. I thanked him and said 'Enjoy the rest of your weekend' and he looked up, smiled and said 'Thank you very much, I will. You too'. See he's not all bad!!! (probably helps if you're a young female though lol) and Marina Sirtis, who agreed to have her picture taken with my friend when it was a quiet moment. ta Showmasters!
  21. *sits in a darkened corner with a bottle mumbling 'All By Myself'*
  22. PORTSMOUTH well that's where I'm from, I don't actually go to games or know who the players are or anything :) but if they win, that's nice. also I am partial to Southampton (aka Scum... lol kidding) because I lived there for a few years at uni... however you are NEVER allowed to support two rival teams without getting kicked to bits so I guess Pompey are my lot.
  23. interesting... BBC says rain all weekend... best carry brollies just in case!
