  1. People should be given the option of shoots. Depending on who it is and price I may want a shoot over an autograph, especially if the person they get has been in loads!
  2. Looks like Gina's last con appearance was in 2010. I get that some people can't be gotten, i.e. Sarah Gellar, David Boreanaz, Alyson Hannigan but it would be cool if a couple of organisers could work together to get Gina over. I know I'm pretty much dreaming there though.
  3. Gina Torres. I know she did some Xena cons in the past, so she does cons but as far as I know she's done none over here.
  4. I'd love to meet Alexis again but doubt he'll be over given that Alyson is pregnant and she will probably have had the baby by the time HW4 comes round.
  5. Jason, for the people that can't afford to buy a residents pass, can they just buy a party ticket separately? Thanks.
  6. Tony - You're a government agent with unlimited funds right?! It's annoying, had Michael and Nichelle's talk been on the Saturday then maybe but I don't have unlimited funds and can't justify an extra night as I want autos from them! I can't help but think the parties should just have been charged for like they used to back in the good old days, but that's just me.
  7. Just out of interest is the hotel the Double tree? Also how many tickets will be available?
  8. OMG %^&*))(£"!$%^&*()(*&^%$£"!£$%^&* YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Yes and no. If you buy on the day the price is the same but you don't pay additional admin fees that you would buying online..
  10. Well this whole thing about buying autos online is annoying. I appreciate people want things signed and completed (same for me) and I know that shots can sell out but what about autos? Is it possible that they could sell out? If so I'll be annoyed as I don't have a job yet but will have money in a month or two. What happens to all the people wanting to get there early and get a VT ticket in a fair queue when people with pre paid auto just come along and are guaranteed? She can only get through so many (I'm sure it'll be Tennant style) so what will happen?
  11. Another V guest!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All hail the Queen!
  12. Yeah well... had to pick on someone . I felt really bad though when Jemz looked terrified
  13. Were you outside or inside? There were 2 groups with Storm Trooper costumes, the UKG and Star Warriors. err, I was outside when I first met them; they were doing crowd control for the pre-paid queue. But I kept bumping into them inside the hall, too It could have been either but if it was Star Warriors I was one of their minders and we did harass the queue outside on Sunday!

  15. Announced for a general signing and cancelled and now announced for a fan specific con...I'm annoyed I can't make it.
  16. Bunny, Connor Temple was my friend Holly she was dressed as the Mad Hatter on Sat. Seriously?! Awesome. I thought afterwards it would be cool if someone did Hatter but the TV one. I may have fangirled!
  17. Was the crew member outside wearing a yellow shirt? EC staff were moving people about unnecessarily so it may not be SM fault. Guests were average?! Erm, that's actually just rude. If you'd never pay for an auto from "that lot" why bother coming. As you said you knew which guests were attending before the event. Completely unnecessary and totally subjective comment. Also from as far back as I can remember there is never really any where to sit. That goes from the olden days of LFCC and MK to now. Also no-one makes anyone buy venue food. If you went round the corner from the venues there are various fast food places and restaurants to eat. It's just a case of looking. Actually looking through your post was there anything you were happy about since the venue, food, guests, dealers and staff all came under non-constructive criticism? Why not suggest a way to improve stuff? Anyway... my comments: The event wasn't bad considering the venue change. Fairly roomy, the weather couldn't be helped but then i looked at the weather forecast and dressed appropriately so I wasn't too hot i.e. I dressed for summer lol. Shame about the EC staff again. At least Jason stepped in to try and sort it out. I was happy with the cards on entry just a shame about the no Steed card as previously stated but as they were free and I'm an Avenger collector I'm not complaining at all. Even the £10 was awesome after I got it signed and embossed. Nice to see something different like this at an event. I really only came to see 3 guests: Armin Shimmerman, John Hurt and Diana Rigg. Even though I've already met 2 out of 3 of them before I still had things for them to sign and they were all totally brilliant and talkative. In terms of queuing I had VT number 15 for Diana but it took me until 3pm to see her. In the morning I had talks and other things to do so I decided to come back later. When I came back the queue was so long and the crew seemed to be having trouble managing as he was trying to look after at least 2 guest queues and it did get very hectic. Because I had to go to a talk and then Diana's shoot I had to leave the queue AGAIN as there was no time for me to wait. Eventually I did meet her though and was happy to see she was quite chatty . I went to the first talk on Saturday and as I already put in a thread before the event itself I hoped the crew would actually care enough this time to actually make an effort into making sure the people asking the guests questions actually had mics quickly. Once again they looked like they couldn't be bothered though and just ambled around so much so to the point when Armin actually kept getting up and leaving the stage to let the audience use his mic! In the time that the crew were just wandering around someone else could have asked a question and it doesn't seem fair to those wanting to. The last talk of the day was John Hurt. I had been in a queue since 4.30pm to be one of the first few in so I could get an aisle seat near the front. This would have been ok apart from the fact that people already in the talk area from the previous one just sat there and refused to move and weren't moved on by any crew. This seriously annoyed me. I waited my time in a queue and some people that just stayed in the other talk effectively got my seat. Seriously annoyed was actually a bit of an understatement at the time. As previously stated in other threads and other areas of the forum the talks are for Q&As. In the JH talk one guys asked John if he'd hold a pink bear and pose for a photo. Seriously? I know this was apparently for charity but there is (once again) a time and a place for things like this. Like at the auto table. If it's for charity I'm sure no-one would mind them getting a VT and asking him at his table for a picture with it. Once again I was unimpressed. And then it happened again - same guy same bear in the Harry Potter talk on Sunday. That's just not (in my opinion) that a TALK is for. Other than those few niggles it was a good weekend. I got to see people I usually only see at these events and there was a bit more variety (for me anyway) with the dealers and managed to grab a couple of bargains. Not a bad job at all SM. Not the biggest show but then I went to the first LFCC and that wasn't big either. These events need help and support to grow just like LFCC has and I'll definitely be along to the next one!
  18. If your photo isn't back by closing time, you don't have to pay. It's sent to you free of charge. I've had to pay at previous conventions for photos to be sent out, the £2 pays for staff time and postage, I believe, I don't know if that's for one photo or several, though That's strange as it has been previously stated that all photos should be back in time for the end of the show or postage is free as it's not your fault they are not back when the show closes.
  19. I have to give a shout out to Rob with his Babydoll crossplay - it all came together in the end and was great, and another cosplayer that I chased down for a photo (sorry didn't catch a name) as they were cosplaying Connor Temple from Primeval! Totally brilliant, I've never seen it cosplayed before and it was awesome!
  20. Dame Diana made my weekend. As a 26 year old that likes a lot of 60's cult tv it's difficult to find merchandise and meet the stars of the shows from that era. I have had the pleasure of seeing Diana in theatre before and couldn't believe my luck when SM announced her as a guest as Emma Peel is my 60's idol. I didn't really know what to expect of her at this kind of event as I'll be honest I could see her more at an autographica event. I was VT 15 but didn't see her until the afternoon as she turned up late (around 11am I think) so ended up getting my photoshoot with her first. She was lovely and even commented on the fact that it was nice that I had dressed for the occasion! Then I saw her at the desk to get one of the cards signed and again she couldn't have been nicer. She made my weekend and I'm lucky we were given the chance to meet her.
  21. Hang on, didn't I just read this in the feedback thread? Confused!
  22. I never buy anything apart from in person autos and shoots anymore however I did have to pick up a behind the scenes of 24 book. There's not enough 24 merch out there these days! Oh, and a load of Magic the Gathering Innistrad cards.
