  1. Taken from his announcement thread... see his Twitter page http://twitter.com/#!/Mehcadbrooks
  2. I can't make it as I'll be on honeymoon- and I'm not best pleased about it!! However, I'm hoping my friend can get me some autos from all the guests, so I'm sort of an unofficial half ticket at least...
  3. My panoramic photo. Sorry it's teeny on here!
  4. The lady you thought was a guest, but not sure who she is- that's Julie Caitlin Brown- agent for a fair chunk of the guests that come to SM shows. And she was in Babylon 5 for a bit!
  5. The crew are going to treat gold pass holders better of course. I'm sure they've been given strict rules about that. It's all well and good speaking to a red shirt to give feedback, but term often I'm sure the message won't get back due to lack of time or them forgetting. I had a great show regardless, but it is a bit frustrating that I know how things work better than the new crew lol!
  6. As Duffers has said, can more people please use the effort to not post links, and have their photos show up on here? It doesn't take long, and I just don't have the time to keep clicking on a million links. If you want people to look at your photos, don't use just links!
  7. I've been doing SM events for a lot longer and I have to agree that the crew for LFCC and CM in May haven't been great at all. I realise the events are getting bigger, and new helpers are needed and you need to stick with who you get volunteering, but they need a bit harsher guidance I think! I had a few bad experiences, and all of them were from fresh faces. Looks of confusion and boredom, which I have never seen before at a SM event. Most of the more regular crew now know me by face or name, and I have no problems with them, and if I do, I usually tell them straight!! I'll leave my CM problems, as I should have mentioned them there and then. I looked out for Jason, Mark, Andrea, TT etc on Saturday, but after lunch, couldn't find them! Firstly, I got in twice to the building with no checks for a ticket or hand stamp. I'm sure a fair whack of people would have got in for free this way, as a fair chunk came through the same door as me. Secondly, I asked a crew member by the credit card desk where I could get the free talk tickets. "Oh the free ones?" she said "You don't need any tickets, you can just walk straight in". Me, "are you sure? I've always needed them before". Her, "Yep, you don't need tickets". Then I walk past the talk area and see a table containing tickets. I said to the very, very bored crew member "are these for the free talks?" He said, "eeeeeeeer, yea, sure, I guess". I asked for one for Brent and was told he'd run out. I said about my earlier conversation, and that it wasn't very fair and what could I do, and he said "eeeer, I dunno", then looked down, still looking bored. So I missed my talk. Collecting the photoshoots was awful, and I HOPE SM will realise that with an event like this, this NEEDS to be done better. It's already been mentioned somewhere about the amount of people putting their dirty mits on the photos, and the bundle to get through was horrible. My poor ribs! Anyway, the crew were clueless at 6.15pm on Saturday when my photos hadn't arrived, and I did keep nagging as my car was below and I was told that the car park shut at 6.30pm. I was told by a red shirt to go to the organisers desk to get a slip to have them posted for £2. I said that it wasn't fair to pay when I wasn't leaving by choice. She then came back and said by free. So I RAN to the organisers desk from photo area A (And SM and TT both know all about my recent broken foot!!!) and waited for the dappy dude who was asking the one girl there what memorial meant for Nick Courtney and Elisabeth Sladen. Humm. I'm not sure she realised they had passed, so I had to explain. Good god man, I was in a rush! Anyway, after her not knowing the situation with the photos, I was told to collect the slips from the photo area. So I RAN back. And saw them start to put the photos on the desk in no order and it was manic. I was in the first 10 getting my shoot with Brent and mine took ages to come out. I had to shout across the table for a crew member to get mine, and it took her a bit too long to see that I was the same person in the flesh as in the photo. Oh, and a few littler things, VQ tickets: crew NEED to be told what they mean! I just showed my tickets and they didn't want me to hand them over. I did offer. What's the point of that? I could have then given someone my ticket to meet them after. I don't know if this happened in Karen's queue, but I'd hope a more experienced crew member dealt with that. Oh, and the no posed photos thing. 5th time meeting Brent, and first time not getting a photo. Agent's idea?
  8. Is Brent holding a cane or an umbrella?!
  9. I fell asleep during Batman and Robin. Didn't like I Love You Beth Cooper much, either! Sure I could name a few more... think I squirmed a fair bit during the third Pirates film, too.
  10. Yes, PLEASE ask Nichelle!!!
  11. I bumped into Honor Blackman in the loos when I went with my Mum and Granny many years ago in the shopping centre, and my Granny was talking away to her for so long, she apologised and had to run to the cubicle. Lmfao And once at a smaller show even more years ago, my Mum asked a random dude at a desk where the loos were, and in a confused American accent, he told us. I then looked at the desk and saw photos of Scott Tracey from Thunderbirds and very much told my Mum off for asking Shane Rimmer where the loos were!!!!
  12. I asked for quotes on my First contact print: Gates: "So much for the Enterprize-E" (Yes, she spelt it wrong!!) LeVar: "Leak? I'm not detecting any leak..." (And he loooved my print )
  13. The whole "no posed photos" thing did annoy me a fair amount yesterday. All of the guests I personally met, bar 1, were repeat guests and had done at least 2 shows before, if not more. And they had all done over the table photo shots until the photoshoots came in. John DeLancie had NO signs up, and I was the only person in the queue to see him, and I asked and he seemed embarrassed to say "I've been told I can't as we're plugging the photoshoots". I never ask if a sign is up, but there was NO sign behind him. I wouldn't have asked as it's embarrassing for me to be told no! Gates and LeVar on the 2 previous occasions both did over the table shots. I didn't ask them as the sign was up. They may all have the same agent giving the orders, I don't know, but I really miss the days of the over the table shots. I get photoshoots too, but I used to love having a momento of the actual moment of me meeting them, instead of an awkward shot by my friend stood behind me of the back of my head (with my hair starting to curl from the wind GRR) and my coat and bag in the way! I got an over the table shot with Keegan- and it was particularly gusty at that point!!!
  14. No, but he played a random dude in an episode of Trek lol! Still, I think I was the only person I saw to meet him that day.
  15. I had the EXACT thing with Nicole DeBoer, then Terry Farrell, then... random Trek dude I met, but I can't remember his name as I'm ill and my mind's gone blank! Everyone there just really wanted Terry and had to stand infront of Nicole while waiting as there was a rope stopping us move anywhere. I did get Nicole to sign something, but once that's done, you're just making convo! So most people just stodd and ignored Nicole, chatted with Terry, then bypassed the other guy. I just find that really rude and insulting to the guests.
  16. As long as it's not that Karen Gillan... she'd be an awful guest! Oh, wait, what... you already have her?! I'm not coming then! How awful of you to get a current main cast member from one of the UK's biggest shows, if not it's biggest. Jokes Yes please a guest!!
  17. Ooh, pretty please on the Saturday- I keep missing him for photoshoots!
  18. Not a bad guest! Will he be doing a photoshoot? One on the Saturday please!
  19. Late 90's? You were barely out of nappies then Haha! I remember when I was in Year 8 (1999 ) that I went on a school trip and it was the same weekend as one of the shows and I was gutted to miss it- but my brother went and got me Chief O'Brien figure and I was still happy as I didn't have all the figures at that point Ahem, do now So when I met Bossk must have been just before or just after that- but I'm sure I did at least 3 or 4 around that time, as well as a few in places like Birmingham, which must have been an early show of another organiser... Which is where I picked up a flyer for the very first London show for another organiser and at that one I picked up a flyer for CM:MK! I only used to use newspaper adverts before then!!! Ah the days where all the rivals had no clue what their stall holders were handing out
  20. At ANY Sm event... that's be one of the collector fairs they had in Reading back in the day... I couldn't say the date- late 90s maybe? '98/99 maybe? And that was Alan Harris from Star Wars! From the first show as we know now? That'd be CM:MK 3 I think- I think Roxann Dawson was the first, but I saw George Takei and Rene Auberjonis that day too. May 2003!
  21. Any news about the re-schedule-ization yet? Even a little whisper of a bit of news? Just a smidgen?
  22. No, but you could take photos- I have one of me standing with him signing.
