  1. Hi Mark, Thank you so much for your response I for one will have fun getting my costumes together, it all adds to the build up of the event. Plus it now coincides nicely with the Christmas and January sales so costume shopping will be even cheaper. Merry Christmas *imagine Christmas smiley here*
  2. Brilliant Themes! I can't decide which one is my favourite. Sunday night is certainly going to be interesting. :) *goes to start planning costumes*
  3. I'm really sorry to say but it does feel like this con gets neglected a little. As a customer when you make a point that you're unhappy with something and no one listens or addresses the issue it doesn't give you much confidence to think otherwise and is slightly condescending. Massive Events, I and others on this forum (and also for those who don't post but feel the same way) would really appreciate it if you would address our concerns as you have done in other forums for other events. Thank you.
  4. Massive Events posted in the Eternal Twilight forum yesterday that they will release the themes for ET7 (which is held the week before Chevron 7.8) by the end of this week. Hopefully that means we will get our themes soon as well.
  5. I subscribe to sfx so get it a little earlier. It's a nice article. It was such a nice suprise to turn the page and see you in there. It's a nice article
  6. The lovely Claire is in the new edition of SFX showing her collection of Stargate and Sanctuary memorabilia. Claire, I love the Magnus blouse you have. I'm not jealous at all lol
  7. That's awesome Claire I can't wait to see them and thanks for letting me try on Michael Shank's shirt last time .
  8. Yeah, I've actually just noticed that in the Eternal Twilight forum Showmasters pinned notice on the 25th of October asking for their party suggestions for the next ET event in February.
  9. And can we make sure some of the food is gluten free? It was an absolute revelation to actually be able to eat the snacks at the Gold party.
  10. 3 out of 4 guest at Chevron 7.7 were SG-1. Currently half of the guests for Chevron 7.8 are SG-1. All of the guests for Chevron 7.6 were SG-1. It's a shame because I have friends who aren't even bothering to buy a ticket for 7.8 because it's become so SG-1 focused. I just wish it was more balaced but I guess it's down to what guests are available and the financial aspects.
  11. Seriously, this show is so popular. I would squeeeee quite a lot if you got any of The Big Bang cast.
  12. OK here's my suggestions; Professor Langford's Roaring 20's Egyptian excavation party.- it could be decorated with pyramids and mummies Fabulous Fourties- Join Ernest Littlefield in 1945 at a gate activation party. - we could have 40's music Join Dr McKay and Dr. Keller at Malcolm Tunney's- Cocktail Party (we could even have a cocktail called The Brainstorm) Join John Sheppard at a table for a night in Las Vegas (I know this one has been done before but it gives the excuse to have the roulette and poker tables and fake money).
  13. That would be awesome. 9 seasons and still going strong.
  14. I think the biggest problem was the money ran out... I know they had planned the shopping park earlier but had companies pull out in the recession. I mean the inside of the arena thats been un-built for years. If they have enough money to start new projects now, why not finish that first then move on? Oh, that wont mean we wont be on the concourse. We used to be in a shopping area and they kicked us out. Might be the same with this one. Its why we need the arena finished FIRST. I think they own the land and they would have had received some sort of revenue from shops built there which would have financed the completion of their buildings. Some shops pulled out due to the recession and from what I've heard some have had trouble getting planning permission because the MK Shopping Centre have put in objections claiming it will take business away from them.
  15. Wow, you guys weren't kidding. What an amazing woman and brilliantly entertaining.
  16. Here's a few of my photos. Chevron 7.7 Photo's
  17. I had never been to Chevron before until 7.7 so until this weekend I'd met only met 3 members of the SG-1 and SGA cast. I know it's a nice goal to try and get guests who have never attended before, but there are actually ticket holders who've not been to the previous Chevrons and still want to meet the cast members who have been before. Hopefully there will be a balance between the two.
  18. I want to say a big thank you to Showmasters/Massive Events, the crew, the guests, Big Finish and the attendees. I've been to many events previously but this is my first event since being ill and being less physically able than before and I was a little nervous. I just wanted to mention a few people some names I can remember, some I don't know but everyone was brilliant. Thank you TooTall, who settled my nerves and explained how I could be assisted, thanks for my EH sticker Thank you to Gemma (I think that was your name, sorry if I have it wrong) who bought the snacks for the the Gold party, even if it was unintentional , it was so nice to be able to eat the nibbles because they were gluten free. Thank you to Claire, for being so generous with your costumes and bringing them along and even letting me try on Michael Shank's shirt. Also thank you to the gentleman who bought Chris Judge's costumes, it was wonderful to be able to get that close and take some photos. Thank you to the lady (sorry I don't know your name) who as soon as I made it into the Gold cocktail party, came up to me and offered to get me a glass of wine from the drinks table, so I didn't need to try and get up there in the scrum with my walking stick and a chair if I needed it. Thank you in genreal to the crew especially those who do all the little extra things for those of us with disabilities, it made my weekend a little easier and even makes it possible to actually attend these kinds of events which are a little physically demanding. Thank you to all the attendees I managed to meet, you were all so friendly and welcoming, I hope to see you all at 7.8 Thank you to all the guests who were approchable friendly, warm, funny, entertaining, informative and hilarious and genuinely delightful people. I had such an amazing weekend and I really appreciate all the time and effort from everyone that went into making it possible. I'm going to go and collapse into a post-con coma now but it was SO very worth it.
  19. I've only just seen all these posts about the hotel problems and to say I'm seriously worried about my reservation is an understatement. I have no idea if I've been moved, I didn't say I had a disability at time of booking because I didn't think it was needed but there's no way I'd be able to manage a 7 minute walk if they have moved me. Just hope I'll be able to get to sleep now and try not too worry too much otherwise my fatigue will be even worse, there's not much I can do until morning.
  20. Oh my frelling god! Seriously geeking out here! If I could run around in mad circles whooping I would. I'm doing it in my head believe me. I may even wave my walking stick around. Thanks you so much guys, Elizabeth Weir ROCKS! Can't wait to meet Tori.
  21. Sounds like he's a great guest, I love guests who have good stories to tell. Can't wait to meet him
  22. I'm a little bit scared of Apophis glad Peter isn't going to be in costume lol
  23. That's a shame but thanks for the explanation and the personal note. On the other hand I'm really pleased that Chris is in such a high profile film and wish him all the best, can't wait to see him in it.
  24. Registration letter arrived yesterday
