Great guest, more Gooners please!

where would you like a new big signing event to be ?
sadboy replied to showmasters's topic in General chat
Very selfish , but voted for Southampton only as closest to me. How about Bournemouth , BIC would be ideal for an event! Collectormania by the sea! -
UK TV show cons ? would you go to an event like this ?
sadboy replied to showmasters's topic in General chat
First to vote, Get in!! I went for Spooks, Spooks Hustle, Spooks, Hustle, Life on Mars -

Got to Mk, put the postcode in my crap nav, wasn't having it!. Remebered IKEA next door , found the Ikea postcode (MK1 1QB) and worked fine. -
And here. He'd made a great star turn at the party. Would love to meet Brian, think he is going to be touring though

Isnt Poole little over 2 hours from Milton Keynes? XD I go near there every year for a holiday with my family *we go to Swanage* and it takes us about 2 hours 15 minutes to get to the ferry lol...So Milton Keynes is not 3 hours away... The journey invovles the A34 which is notorious for accidents hold ups etc, have got caught up many a time heading to MK in various incidents on this road Guess your 2.15 includes avoidence of the speed limit !! Interestingly the Google Maps route avoids the A34 (which I would do on every possible occasion ) - basically it uses M3, M25 and M1. Still that's 146 miles and a suggested 2h 38 mins, and I think that's a tad optimistic; at any rate, it's certainly not much under 3 hours, and you only need a "comfort break" to take you over 3 hours. Hmmmm M3 and M20 car park, sorry M25. Makes the A34 seem like a godsend. Tried that route and had a 4 hour plus twice !! -

I know I am being very selfesh here, but would love a SM event in Bournemouth, Poole, Southampton, Portsmouth Just would be great to go to an event that didn't involve 3 hours driving at least to get there. As we have a natural progression down from Glasgow, Manchester, Midlands, MK and London, the next step for SM event domination must be down south. Thoughts???

Gets my vote Although think a convention would be pushing it, just get some of these guys to any SM event

Thats my wife and youngest in the backround, now I know where they were!!!!

I appreciate that they were busy but then again I don't think there were any talks or parties in the evening. It doesn't take 5 minutes to log onto the forum and put on a quick message. -
Very disappointed to get to the show today to find the rugby guys were not there. Having asked a crew member in a blue t shirt where they were, I was told that they were told late yesterday afternoon that they were not going to be there today. Was it too much to ask to put a message on the forum/website!!!!!!!. I checked the site/forum last night and this morning before I left to avoid this. I'm well aware that guests can cancel at any minute but after driving for 5 hours today and wasting £50 in petrol, you can prob guess that I'm a little peeved.

For me it has to be the legend that is "Ray Park" My son was in a wheelchair due to a fractured pelvis a couple of weeks ago. Ray must of spent ten minutes with him talking about Star Wars, injuries he had and just being an all round great bloke. I apologise to people behind because he must of spent ten minutes with us. Made my sons weekend, he was feeling pretty crap but 10 minutes with Ray made his weekend.
