  1. Is that to try? or because you already like it? I tried one for the first time recently and 1) it wasnt the colour it should be (fanboy nitpick) and 2) it wasnt all that great tasting. Was better with some adult beverage added though hehe
  2. Ahem, forward would mean it was a week earlier But awesome! Cant wait for it to be in a bigger venue!
  3. Awesome! Not managed to meet him yet so another Aliens/Terminator guest for me!
  4. I do love the E, but I dunno maybe people are voting too logically lol The E is a pretty huge bridge, probs not do-able (at least looking as good as the film) Also I think most people (like myself) are goign for what they grew up with, which seems to date us Even though I'm 23 I grew up on repeats of TOS and VHS's of TNG, so those are 'my' bridges. It's like picking who your favourite Captain is.
  5. In the event itself, we will have to see. I can see the party/s being themed though, so one might be themed around Quarks :)
  6. Voted the TNG bridge as I grew up with it. Also, I've been thinking of what we might get based on what has been made and at shows/exhibitions before. And so far, I only know of replicas of the TOS, movies and TNG bridges in that capacity. Have any others been made for public shows and such? I was thinking we might get the TNG bridge (if the Vegas one wasnt destroyed and is in storage somewhere) or the TOS one (as mant replicas have been made) I'd love the E bridge though. Or the Defiant. But I bet we get an Enterprise bridge.
  7. But with thousands of photos over the weekend, logistically how will the right people get the right pics/USB without taking a stupid amount of time to stand there with everyone. You cant tell whats on a USB from the outside, and in the photo there is no name or ID number. And there is no rigidly set order to the photos (as people could turn up late or miss it entirely) so how would they know which photos to group together onto each USB? And even with doing it by looking at faces, that would take an eternity! Either you'd need hundreds of staff all with a laptop/computer to go through and match faces and put them together in folders/onto USBs or have the same system with with you going up and picking yourself out of hundreds of faces. Each version would take way too long and way too much staff and tech. And it would be the same with them being mailed out after. You;d have to have people working on it for weeks after looking at a pic of you and then finding the ones that matched, putting them on a USB/email and then sending them off. And then you need staff at the event to take down people's pics and details so they can be sent off. And hell, from a customer stand-point I'd much rather scan an image in at home for free (as 99% of people do) than pay £10 extra for practically the same thing (quality issues aside). Even if this was implimented, I'd never bother at that sort of price. For that price I'd rather it was framed for me than digital Any sort of rights issues aside, although that is why SM dont do it, the logistical and staffing and monitary and time-consuming issues around the digital versions make it impossible, especially for an event of this size or of say the size of LFCC or MK. The only event type I could sort of see it working at is one of ME's weekenders, where the average attendance is around 250 people. That is a much more managable number and could possibly be done after the event. So yeah, as with every other time this has been brought up, the thread is sort of a moot point. It wont happen for a long time, if ever, and especially not at a huge event like STL.
  8. It says 10am UK time so it will depend on where you are in the US. Also thats BST not GMT at the moment.
  9. We've been to most events each year since like the Hub 2, so probably lol
  10. Ahem...Christopher Reeve lol But, Brandon was the best thing about Returns. He nailed both Supes and Clark for me, especially Clark.
  11. Jeri Ryan has said on her twitter that she wont be at this. So if you can get to LFCC to meet her, do so!
  12. Yes, but it will depend if all the Captains have a shoot on all of the days. You may end up with Shatner on saturday and Stewart on sunday for example, so have to pick which day you'd rather do.
  13. Yeah we have months ahead to plan alternative routes. A few times I've been caught out by stuff like this the week of the event
  14. No gold passes do have to pay, they just don't need VQs. Most people that will need VQs however are the people having to pay for stuff, like me with my standard tickets. A VQ itself is free, just a little ticket. You pay when actually going up for the auto.
  15. Ah balls, well for those coming up on the single days/heading home sunday. I'll be coming up friday, so that'll be fine (still working on the friday) I've been to an event before when the DLR was down, they provide buses from there to Canary Wharf station (at least that time) The journey home will be annoying...
  16. Are you trying to get the little info titles and fill them in yourself? Just copy and paste someone's and then delete their info and put in your own, no need for quoting :)
  17. YEEEEEES!!! FINALLY a Scott Pilgrim guest!!! More please!
  18. You basically want to head Eastbound on the DLR. The main tube stations you can use to change onto the DLR are: Bank (Central and Northern lines) Tower Hill (District and Circle lines) Canning Town and Canary Wharf (Jubilee line) West Ham and Bow Road (District and Hammersmith and City lines) Look for these on the map and see which will be better for you from where you are coming from. As most of you will be travelling from outside London and therefore arriving into the central stations like Victoria, Kings Cross ect, I would suggest Tower Hill and Bank as good places to get onto the DLR. And from those two stations its a pretty straight run east to Custom House, the Excel station :)
  19. I can answer a few things, but the FAQ thread and the event info firts page can answer most :) The 5 Captains autographs with the platinum means you'll get an autograph from each Captain GARUNTEED. The other passes dont proved this in such a full way. This will not include a photoshoot with each though, those will be available seperatley. Yes the seats are for the stage shows/talks. Each talk (whether there is just one big room or a few) will have its seating divided into VIP, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Standard. The more you pay, the closer you are. If you go for different ticket types for two of you, you will be able to sit together, but it will mean you not sitting in the platinums but sitting with the golds with your husband. He cnat move up I'm afraid. The difference in price is that mainly, you WILL get all 5 Captains. No risk, no fuss. You'll be able to wander up with the other platinums and get all 5 of the biggest guests at the event hassel-free :) The other benefits are the better seating, better queuing than the golds (each pass gets you better than the last), better goodie bag contents, rarer prints and cards. It's all up to you if you think it's worth what YOU want out of the con
  20. Something I just noticed and was brought up on the FB group: The silver and above tickets say '1 ticket to the party'. Does this mean everyone will have to buy an extra party ticket (as there are two parties) or will there be one party ticket that covers both (meaning people buying them as extras cant pick and choose which night)?
  21. Currently unemployed, but luckily employers have to respect pre-booked holiday when you start a job so all my cons should be safe if I get one lol
