  1. I went, but only stayed for part of it. It was mainly autographs and pictures that were on auction. I was hoping for some on-screen items. There were a couple, but not many. I wish they had given us an idea of what was going to be the auction because I stayed two hours longer than I needed to, just waiting for the auction.
  2. Thanks for your help. No need to worry though, they came through today. Almost didn't get them though. They were posted in with the junk mail and wasn't asked to be signed for. They almost got thrown away with the junkmail! Lucky we looked inside.
  3. I never got a confirmation email for my order. My order is confirmed on the ticket/showmaster website and shows the order number/date and product on my account there. Would this be accepted if the ticket doesn't arrive on time? Also, how will we know which seat we're in if we don't get the actual ticket?
  4. You've got to understand that you haven't been told the half of what's going on in the news. My dad's a postman and the working conditions are absolutely awful.
  5. I'm waiting for my Charmed talk ticket. Finger crossed they'll arrive soon.
  6. No it can not be guaranteed that they will arrive on time. If they don't, you will need to take your email confirmation to the show to prove you brought the tickets and the crew should be able to sort you out :) Domino is right. If something should happen, bring the e-mail confirmation and some form of ID and the crew will sort you out. Okay, thanks.
  7. I've ordered. I've just got to ask. With the problems with the Royal mail, can it be guaranteed that the tickets will arrive on time?
  8. What makes some of these events free and some requiring an entry fee? Collectormania in Milton Keynes was free, so why is there a cost for this one?
  9. i love the stargate movie :) It is a great film
  10. One suggest for the VG tournaments or even the games in general is to have a list of controller instructions so people know how to play. I entered the smash brawls contest, thinking that there would be an explanation of what controls did what, but there wasn't. Consequently I had no idea what I was doing and after standing, waiting for my turn for my turn for ages, I was out within a minute.
  11. I think it was something like a £100 Edit: I was wondering, did anyone get a certificate of authenticity for on-screen props? It was said that they all had them, but I never got any for the items I bought.
  12. I really want to meet Shannon too, but I've already been to two conventions this year and I don't know if going to a third would be pushing my luck or being too excessive. I'll decided nearer the time. I might just go to get Shannon's autograph and not buy anything else (it would be hard to resist temptation though.)
  13. I think the phaser went up to £280 The Comm badge was around £125. I was bidding, right up to a £100, but then two more people topped me. I got a on-screen stone from Ra's costume in the original Stargate movie for £30 and Marty Murray's (Dominic Keating's stunt double) under-shirt from ST: ENT for £20
  14. The advantage of the pre-pay, as stated, is that the queue moves a lot quicker once the doors open. Both queues are allowed in at the same time though. I don't see why this is a problem; having the buy-on-the-day tickets go in at the same time does not slow down the speed at which the pre-paid queue gets in.
  15. I was planning on going for the phaser and the comm badge, but they just went to high for me. I did however get some great bargains. The Ra's jewel piece of his costume in the original Stargate movie -> and I also got Mary Murray's (Dominic Keating's stunt double of ST:ENT) under-shirt
  16. He signed mine as well, but I got my autograph early. Whether he continued to personalize autographs late on. I don't know.
  17. These games are all very simple so prior knowledge isn't required. Of course you'd be at a disadvantage to someone who has played it before, but that applies to everything. And Free, it's just Super Smash Bros. Brawl - no Mario in the title. Opps, slip of the keyboard When your tournament starts there will be a rota of when your match is on. Provided you're there when your matches are due to take place, then that's fine and you can wander off. Obviously if we can't find you when your match is on, then you forfeit. Thanks for the help
  18. Do you have to be available for the whole two hours to take part? There are some talks that clash with the games I'm interested in. Also, do we need prior knowledge on how to play the games? I've never played Mario Brawl before, but no how to operate a Wii.
