it was more the attitude of certain people that night that made the weekend a HUGE disapointment, having done many other cons the parties are a huge part of the weekend and seeing as there wasnt an awful lot else during the day you would expect that the things taking place in the evening would be of a higher standard. When you have been made fun of by the "DJ" how would you feel the rest of the weekend?? It only takes one thing to put someone off an event, as I have said tho credit where credit is due Mark and Jason are aware of the sittuation and are dealing with accordingly. Having met all the main cast of both sg1 and Atlantis (bar Ben and Claudia) and most of the guest cast of both shows, the cons for me are a get together with my friends to have a good time, listen to the guests, cause lets face it there is always something new to learn from them and you never quite know what strange and weitrd questions may be asked!! and have a good old dance at the parties. Seeing as the parties werent exatly good and I would say most attendees voted with their feet given that at 9pm saturday the hall was full and by 11 it was almost empty i was very disappointed. It would have maybe been different if the music played was something you could dance to but most of it wasnt even music you could really dance to..... anyway enough dwelling on the past, its nice to see that all the comments are being listened to and answered accordingly, i hope that the next one is an improvement :)

i am glad to see that the DJ issue is going to be sorted as that did spoil my weekend if i am honest, i doubt i will attend the next one but good luck with it... if atlantis gets picked up for another season you may struggle for current atlantis guests tho because they will have started filming again by March ......

ok im going to add my thoughts here.... i have attended many conventions by many organisers. I wont deny that this wasnt one of the best but the important thing is that lessons are learnt. My only majopr major gripe was the party. I'm sorry but i have paid my money to attend this con and to have the DJ playing music purely for his friends and crew and NOT the PAYING attendees and to then start moking people is disgraceful. Before anyone says why didnt you say anything at the con, I did. I spoke with Mark and Jason on Sunday and they were both apologetic and aware that there were some unhappy people. They have taken what we have said on board and are going to be changing this factor accordingly. This was a quiet con and there was an awful lot of downtime with not much to do. Maybe some thought could be put into the schedule to perhaps have something else going on whilst autos are being done. If it was possible to find another room you could maybe have a quiz going on (i kinow there was the paper quiz but this could be an interactive one) or maybe show episodes of Stargate or music videos for people to watch. Speaking on behalf of others who have been to other events there is more or less always something going on for you to do. I think this would encourage people to come as they would be entertained. Just a couple of suggestions for you :)

i am quite disappointed with the event schedule, as many have already said there isnt much going on during the day really .... given how much everybody has paid its not really turning out value for money, im glad i live in northampton and havent spent loads on travel to and money to stay over ..... i was hoping they might have announced a couple more guests to fill the gap up, i know of at least 2 actors who were/are interested in coming but it seems that we arent getting any more unless there are suprise guests we are not being told about .....

seeing as we have had another cancellation im sure you could arrange for Alex Zahara and Dan Payne to attend in their absence...... *hints*

i think the main issue was timing, because there are so many events around this time of year i mean you had manchester, collectormania, eclipse, lockdaown, chevron the list goes on with other events i cant mention...... i think you should have maybe considered doing it at a different time of year as us peeps can only afford to go to so many in a short space of time!!!

i'm going not staying in the hotel mind, im staying at home :)

ok, so im being lazy, i couldnt find anything anywhere that i looked...... is there anywhere that says what time everything starts on the friday anywhere at all? the letter i got with the registration numbers says to take it on the friday but doesnt give a time...... any idea if and when a rough schedule of events might be posted? (i know it wont be exact, con mean time and all!!) just so i can guage things a little thanking you kindly! :)

You best wait for Jola to confirm this, but with children that young I can't imagine that they'll need an extra ticket. They're babes in arms, so no, you won't need to purchase photo shoot tickets for them and adorable babes in arms they are too!! :)

i would guess that everyone was still wrapping up C13 so the orders probably wont be processed until they have finished wrapping that up... just a guess dont know if thats true or not! LOL

from reading the stuff on here I have to say I feel quite disappointed at the negative coments in the first post. I can understand the disappointment at this but as it has already been said, be grateful you have been able to meet them at all. I know people want personalisations, I do always prefer it but on the occasion where its just not possible then you have to make that decision, do I want it without it personalised or not. there is always the chance that an actor will return to another event if they enjoy doing them and this would be John's 3rd event with showmasters I believe so he must enjoy doing it. therefore he will be morelikely to return. Reading comments such as some of those made in this thread about him is going to put him off doing it. These forums are public, dont forget that and actors are able to read these. Posting such negative things could mean that they may not consider attending another event again. I have already had the privelidge of meetin John before so already have his autograph. However, I did not have a photo so jumped at the chance for the photo op with him. These can be bought in advance via the website. If this is something you want. The photoshoots are always fast oving but in the 30 seconds i probably had with him he was friendly polite and seemed to be enjoying himself. I didnt get to meet Eve as my bank balance cant really afford to start up a whole new tv series of autographs!! However, for the response on here she sounds truely lovely :) and lets not forget, if you want to meet John again you can always consider attending The Hub :)

An hour before and you "should" be OK. But obviously the earlier you are there the better your chances. No one can see the future. We can only make an educated guess. i would agree with Too Tall, but if you are adamant you want his autograph and are desperate for it the earlier the better really.

minutes??? i would say seconds! LOL He's probably not on the list because a) they know everyone wants to meet him and he's a hard man to get!! LOL
