  7. I have been in pictures with a bunch of Trek actors. One of my favorites is a shot with Walter Koening AND George Takei, on a replica Enterprise bridge! Good thing you can't see I nearly fell off the captain's chair when sitting down... I don't have a scan of that one, and no scanner available at the moment. Sorry. I love my two favorite Klingons as well: And Leonard Nimoy!! Ok, so I'm not actually standing next to him... I AM in the same picture! Others (some are here) Patrick Stewart Connor Trinneer (= an angel) Anthony Montgomery can't think anymore... Have more, but no idea now!

  14. A another show MUST have talks. It's not a signing event, it's a convention, so most of the day IS talks. A little explanation about signing at another show: The signing is divided into two. The actors who are included in the entry fee and the ones where you have to get coupons for only sign in sessions for about 4 hours on Sat and Sun. The rest of the actors have a table in a signing area, where they can sit and sign stuff (duh). They CAN be there whenever they are not on stage, but they don't HAVE to be. Some guests actually are pretty elusive! Even so, some of the session actors are also in the signing area throughout the day. This gives you the opportunity to get more then one autograph. But, few actors do this. I've only seen 4 actors from the session go sign in the area as well, and I've been to 5 Fedcons now. What I would like to see is a another show-party with a good DJ, who will actually play the things you ask for. 2005, the guy had never heard of "Paradise by the Dashboard Light", and 2006, we waited for 3 hours to hear "Bohemian Rhapsody" and then gave up because of all the bad dance-type-music. I like songs that are considered "wrong". Like YMCA, and Star Trekking and a lot I can't think of now. In Holland, we have con-parties where (nearly) everyone knows the dances that go to the songs. It's like folk-dancing in SF costumes, and a LOT of fun.
  15. OK, I'm not British. And not American. But I can handle English pretty well, if I say so myself. So, I'll butt in and give you some light reading. This letter was written by John Cleese in May 2005, and made me nearly wet myself laughing. I found a copy in my room last week, and again, ROFL... I thought it'd fit in quite nicely here *sigh* I post a message here of all places, and end up misspelling a word in both American AND British English. But it's edited out now, so you will never know what word it was...
  16. A friend of mine took a picture, I'll see if it came out nice, and then post it. I wish I could draw like that... Edit: I found this photo of the picture on the net: Isn't it GORGEOUS?!?
  17. I have a dark green Elf dress, and used a Burda Mode pattern. You can find it here I also used this pattern for a sul'dam dress, from the Wheel of Time series of books. For that, my mom designed tight sleeves instead of the butterfly ones, and I made the skirt wider by putting inset triangles in the side-seam. It looks great, and it really comfortable.
  18. Yay! another show UK! The good thing about another show Germany is, well, it's another show! The bad thing about another show Germany is that not everything is in English. I understand German, and speak it (well, can make myself understood at least), but some of my friends don't. So anything in German is just not interesting for them. Oh, Mr MC... Can I still come, even after you said I couldn't at the closing ceremony? - let me explain for the non-another show going audience - At the closing, one of the segments is the awards for the art-show. The winners are announced, they come on stage, and get a handshake/kiss from the MC. He then tells them that that will be 20 euros please, and the audience giggles. When the first prize winner came on, who made a GORGEOUS, photo-quality black and white painting of Worf, MC asked "will you do one for me too?" and I yelled through the auditorium "20 euros please". This got a good laugh, I felt nice and smug and then the MC said I couldn't come back next time... But that's probably just for another show Germany.... I hope...
  19. Excellent BT! Poor ring... All it's homesickness and never actually getting there... I feel so sorry for it! I wonder what the cards said what it was born though... I, Sauron, do proudly announce the birth of the vessel of my power. I have decided to call it ONE RING If you want to visit, please call, as parent and object need frequent rest and time to plot taking over the world.
  20. *droooool* *wishes she lived in London and could go* ... *cries*
  21. Well, I got half a sentence before he got confused about what he wanted to say... LOL! Majel is a lovely person, I feel honoured to have met her. She was really kind, and though I didn't really know what to say to her, she was just sweet!
  22. If I went to C9, I'd go as Zazu, from the Lion King.
  23. I had met Paul before, and wanted to say to him how I'd liked our previous encounter. He kinda looked at me funny when talking to other people, and when it was my turn, he had recognised me! He immediately knew when he'd met me before, and I had a very nice chat with him. I'll be meeting him again in a couple of weeks, and will tell him about this thread
