That's fine - I've spoken to Showmasters about this and they felt that only partially refunding was a fair way of dealing with this as there are plenty of people who still want a photo with just Dirk. Buying the double shot was actually cheaper than buying two singles, so to alot of people it made sense to purchase the double shot. By all means, we're happy to refund you the full amount if you definitely don't want the Dirk photoshoot. Hi Jola, Your statment is worrying me - I ordered the Dwight and Dirk shoot- as this is not possible surely I should be entitled to a full refund? I'm sorry if I sound negative but I've already had a photo with Dirk so don't want another one. I appreciate that this is inconvenient to you but please refund the full amount. If I wanted a Dirk photo I would have booked a Dirk photo. How do you think Dirk Benedict would feel when he has people like me having a photo with him when we don't want to - how unfair to him as well as to your customers. Sorry if I seem a bit annoyed (but that's cause I am!) I appreciate that guests cancelling is out of your control but surely you can make customers feel a bit better by refunding what they ordered - afterall from a trading standards perspective I am no longer getting what I ordered and should therefore be entitled to the full amount not a subsitution. I understand that some people would still want the Dirk shoot in any case but there will be others like me who don't, please confirm how I can get the full refund back. I'd really like to call someone about this is there a tel number I can contact Showmasters on rather than having to leave messages like this on the board. Cheers.

Hi Showmasters, I booked the joint photoshoot session for Dirk and Dwight. As Dwight has cancelled I can't really see the point of having the photo anymore (I've already got one of me and Dirk!!!!) My fave was the wonderful Mark Sheppard. It was the first time I had met him but I had already been told what a lovely guy he was and he lived up to it. He was very funny, entertaining, charming and spent loads of time with us and even showed us photos of his kids! I thought he was great before but now I think he's even better! I also thought Michael Rosenbaum was a really nice down to earth friendly guy. I was a little concerned when I first saw his minder and the no photos sign but actually he was very nice and patient, he must have been sick of being asked the same questions all weekend but he acted like he was genuinely interested, I'm so glad I got to meet him. I couldn't get over how different he looked with hair!!!!!!

Hi, I agree that it would be great to get more A-listers to Collectormania BUT it does concern me that by charging £100 a signature for certain guests you are actually putting a lot of the Showmasters audience out of the opportunity to meet their guests. The reason I say this is that if you have A-listers who have not attended Collectormania before charging £100 surely the likes of other fellow A-listers who up until this point charged around £25 will also think twice and put their signatures up too. Afterall why should they be shortchanged for being nice enough to attend events previously at a lower price. They will also increase their price too, afterall why should their price be closer to the lesser celebs prices rather than the stars they actually are. I don't mean this disrespectfully but why should some one like Patrick Stewart etc have their time priced similarly to a guy who was a doctor who monster in 1977 rather than a fellow current star whose decided they can spare their time for £100 quid a pop. It just wouldn't work out well for the fans on a tighter budget. The other thing is it's all relative as to what we consider A-list, it comes down to how much your a fan. Even the big american cons don't charge £100 quid for the big stars so why should we pay more? If we offer it than that's what will be charged! Don't get me wrong I would consider paying for autos, talks AND photos depending on who the guest was and how much I wanted to add them to my collection! A star could actually earn some easy money by doing talks and a panel and perhaps promoting their new film. I would gladly pay for a Q&A talk and the same with the photoshoots. I like getting an auto but for me it's the interaction with the guest that I enjoy the most and I think if you have the £100 sigs it will be more factory line, scary minders and less time for real fans. Please think carefully before agreeing to pay £100 for autos, otherwise it's only a matter of time before you see other good quality guests commanding £75.00, £60.00, £50.00 etc for an autograph. Honestly I am positive really! I think the new venue is a great idea and your first guest is a good choice - I'm looking forward to it. Cheers

I'd love a Shaun of the Dead Reunion - be great to meet Simon Pegg and Nick Frost at Collectormania Midlands. Simon Pegg will be hawking the new Star Trek movie soon, what about trying to get him if he's still in the UK then? He's doing the rounds for his current movie so you never know! Hey Jason and Showmasters, Bruce Campbell is about to release My Name Is Bruce and he's starting a promo tour of the USA including trailer/movie screenings and Q&A as of end of October. Any chance you could get him to do something similar for Showmasters in the UK? Lots of people weren't able to see him at Coventry and you never know he might come back as he has a new movie/comic/stuff to sell (sorry I meant promote!) I'd love to see the guy do a Q&A too! I'm absolutely gutted about this! I'm so disappointed I've just paid my train costs and money for 2 photoshoots for me and a friend. He was the reason we were travelling to MK. When was this cancelled? How did you find out months ago? Wish I knew before I paid my cash out! How do I get a refund when I haven't received my confirmation yet (I just have my print out from when I ordered.) Bad luck Jason and Showmasters, shame he let you down.

That sounds pretty serious...the first Collectormania event was the best I have ever been to and I'm not sure how you could top it, afterall Bruce Campbell, Robert Englund, George Takei are a tough act to follow!
