i had a similar experience with ben, saw him early on sunday he looked totally out of it, and i could tell his heart wasnt in it, tried to strike up a conversation but he was quite dismissive, felt like somethign was wrong, later found out his dad had passed away so i can understand his attitude, to be fair im suprised he came at all, and it shows a lot of commitment to the fans that he did come, i know i wouldnt have if i was in his shoes. but its always disspointing when you dont get that 'experence' with the people you come to meet, i know i was a bit let down, as i say i understand why he was tired/out of it, but it was still a bit dissapointing. he was much nicer later when i had the photo shoot, i think the whole weekend must have been tough on him.

i have to say i thought the artist alley was poor, there were really no 'name' artist, i thought the selection was poor in comparison to the effort made for the media guests! bring in more mainstream comic artists next year!

Our photographers are professionals and that is why they take a second shot if necessary. Sometimes the first shot will be deleted before being sent to the printers. Sometimes they will remove them from the pack when they come back. You have to understand they are professionals. You paid for a ONE professional shot. They do not want the duff one (as you put it) being put out for the public. They have pride in what they do. If the first shot turns out to not be duff it is put out. And you get two. As for the digital negatives issue. Any professional photographer retains the copyright on any photo he/she takes. Try asking a Wedding photographer how much it would be IF you got the copyright to the photos of YOUR wedding. It'll be an extra £3000-£4000 for you to have the copyright (i.e. digital copies to reproduce). Trust me I checked! So this is very unlikely to be done. As for second copies. Maybe one day. thanks very much that clear it up for me!

ok, well i had two photos taken with michael shanks, can showmasters not send out both pictures? they took two, so they could get a good one, but i wouldnt mind the duff one too! is that no possible?

that would be cool, i would love to hear about how the show came about and what future plans they may have, these guys would be great for a talk!

thanks for the feedback guys! robinC, yeah i always read about how great the breakfast at the official convention is, that would be cool....unlikely for collectormania, but still cool! i think the best we can hope for is a talk or something? but even so i woudl be there in a jiffy!

ok, well ive asked for farscape guest, but i thought i would raise the notion of a farscape panel! sooo, hear me out, last year at london film and comic con, claudia blacks que was huge! she has such a following, ben browder rarely visit the uk, and from what i understand was a big hit at collectormanai milton keynes, theese are popular people who also cross over to the stargate franchise too, so your doubling your audience!, add in a couple of other farscape stars and whamo! instant panel, which to my knowledge would be a first in the uk. go on give it a try! oh and please please try and anthony simcoe too! ta
