Alx, as has been requested previously on this thread please keep it to the topic of Crew Emails and Confirmations. I'm sure we all aware of your photography addiction but this is neither the time nor the place. *stepping off soapbox now* I understand peoples frustrations with not getting picked but also understand where Stuart and Showmasters are coming from. Not everyone can be used due to the high volume of volunteers and sadly it's always going to be the case that some people will get rejected.

Hee Hee......what a conversation that turned out to be. You missed the Showmasters Cereal - each box contains a lego crew member. Six Lucky Boxes contain a lego Stuart and One lucky box contains a lego Jason. Also the back of each box shows a part of the venue - collect all five to complete the set. Or the virtual autobooth - put £15.00 in 50p pieces into the slot and get an auto, each auto is personalised but it's pot luck if you get one with your name on it. There were so many different things we came up with that night but alcohol means I forgot a lot of them. Donna

That would be my wonderful mate Bookall. Not a regular poster on these forums - more of a lurker on any board come to think of it.

I was one of the two major collectors of names on the Sunday, along with Valentine. (Although we were helped with the initial flood!). Yes we could be seen writing down names and addresses ourselves and I fully admit to doing so... BECAUSE... we always checked to make sure everything was readable and not abbrieviated (Bob being American had asked us to loose the abbreiviations he didn't understand and to make sure things were clear. We may understand that Brum means Birmingham, an American not necessarily!). Some of the people that came up, had truly awful handwriting, sometimes myself and Donna were stumped as to what people actually meant with the names of the films they'd requested... so we did write down names and addresses ourselves, in legible handwriting without abbrieviations as an aid to clarity. I also wrote down the name and address of the girl in the queue who fainted and was taken away by the paramedics, and that of her friend in the wheelchair. They both had VQ tickets, why shouldn't they be included! Neither of these two girls attended the desk to do this, but a member of the crew was sent by myself to the first aid room to get the details from the girls. Sometimes when you are doing something very innocent, it is amazing what other people assume. As for myself and Valentine who were due to be his Guest Liasions on Saturday and Sunday, neither one of us put our names on the list. EDITED TO ADD: Aspen was the second one on the list.. seems only natural if they were kept in order he'd get his first. As Madmonster says, I was due to be Vals Guest Assistant on Sunday and both Madmonster and I took down most of the names and addresses when the decision was made that this is what was going to happen. As already explained some of the names and addresses were very difficult to read so to aid both Bob and Showmasters we did have to re-write some of them. At the end of the day, Showmasters and Bob did not have to make the offer and Madmonster and I certainly made sure that everybody who was writing their name and address were informed that it wasn't an absolute promise that Val would sign for everybody. It was definately a case of 'We'll try our best.'

Hope the ankle is better soon babe. Shame that you can't crew but totally understand the need to rest it. Good to hear you will be in MK anyway, afterall your ankle doesn't interfere with your drinking arm does it!?! Here's to lots of ankle rest. Donna xox

I was taking the names and addresses for Showmasters on Sunday and as far as I was made aware from his agent who was sat by the side of me that he intends to get Val to sign for everybody who left their names and addresses. I would say give it quite awhile though, Val is in his play in the West End till September so he has plenty of time to do them for you all. Plus please remember Showmasters are still working on LFACC even now as they are clearing everything up from last weekend, and I kinda think they might like to sleep at some point.
