  1. Hello everyone, I know that Mick has been really ill lately and has been in and out of hospital. I am sure your item has been signed and he will get in contact with you as soon as he is able. If not, I am sure he has a really good explination as to why not. Please be patient with him as he needs our support at the moment and I am sure everything will come good in the end!
  2. I don't think he travels outside the US anymore. But would love to be proved wrong!
  3. I met him at GMTV and he was really nice. He signed two Star Wars 10x8's and posed for two picture withs (I wanted to make sure, on two different camera's). So I think it is very unfair to say that he wants nothing to do with Star Wars. I would say he goes through phases!
  4. Harry Dean Stanton!!! He is the last one I need on my alien crew shot.
  5. He flew on the Apollo 16, STS-4, and STS-51-C missions. He had been scheduled to fly on Apollo 13, but was held back due to concerns about a potential illness (which he did not contract). It would be great to complete my picture of the original crew of Apollo 13!!! Come on please show your support on this thread and convince the guys to get him for us!!!
  6. Mine would have to be my JFK on a presidential letter from the Whitehouse or my Steve Mcqueen. If not those then at least they are my favourites!
  7. So how much would you be willing to pay for Mark's Auto? £25, £30, £40, £50 ?
  8. I believe that if Jason and Showmasters really wanted to kill off the other shows he could quite easily do so. It is not like he is short of a few quid you know! As he himself pointed out he is not trying to kill off the other event, they just clashed. He could not hold the event the weekend after as that clashes with the BAFTA's and most of the crew collect autographs there. The weekend before was probally booked. He could not hold it in March as that would be to close to C9 and in January everyone is broke after Christmas! So give the guy a break, all he is trying to do is give you another quality run show to attend! As to putting Star Trek guests on the guest list at GMEX, Showmasters always like to have a wide variety of guests, including several Star Trek guests. He also tries to get the harder/different guests that don't normally do "In person" signings first eg William Shatner, Brent Spiner, Levar Burton, Majel Barrett etc. So if he is offered Avery Brooks, of course he is going to say YES! Or do you think that he should say No, because the other event is on and dissapoint lots of other Star Trek fans that are chosing to turn up at GMEX? Also what if he did turn him down? I know how I would feel, I would feel snubbed and would not do an event with that organiser no matter how much he paid me! Which would probally mean we would never get him over here to do a show Then, to take it a step further, what if one of the other cast members like Terry Farrell or Colm Meaney phones him and says "What's that Showmasters company like in England?" What's he going to say? Then we miss out on more guests that we want to see! I am sorry if you have booked up to attend the other event, and as a result miss GMEX and the chance of meeting Avery. But please dont take it out on Showmasters as they put on quality shows that I really do enjoy attending. At the end of the day, if you take these things that I have pointed out into consideration before you judge them you might not judge them so harshly. Capt.
  9. I can not believe how horrible you are being towards William Shatner. Most of you admit to not even meeting the guy! I have met the guy and spent about half an hour with him and he is a REALLY nice guy! So dont take other peoples words for it, wait till you meet him in person, then comment. As I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised!
  10. I have been reading this thread and I have met Anthony on a number of occassions and he has always been polite. But I do agree he is very in to the money thing. Last time I got his autograph it was a whopping £23! Maybe that's why SM don't get him because he won't lower his prices to a more reasonable £15?
  11. Barry is currently not well and has asked me to pass on his thanks for all you kind comments and promises that once he is better he will be trying to get some more guests of the same stature of Michael Beihn to future events.
  12. Actually Adam, you are not paying for the photo's you are paying for the signature! The photo you choose comes free with the purchase of the signature!
  13. I dont believe this thread! At what point have SM said that it is going to be a major Stargate Atlantis reunion instead of Aliens? hmmm, Well there you go, they havent have they! Has it not crossed your mind that Collectormania is in two weeks time! Dont you think that they are busy trying to get this show sorted with last minute guest annoucements, staffing, flights etc. etc. etc? In addition this time they are organising a huge party on the Saturday evening for you all! I am sure that SM will be annoucing a lot more Aliens guests after Collectormania has finished! You just have to have a little patience that's all. Most actors will not confirm right until the last possible moment because they might get an acting job (Remember we are talking about working actors you know!). You might ask yourself well I have not seen such and such in a movie for ages. The chances are they are doing theatre some where! Take Sigourney for example she starts Mrs Farnsworth at the flea theatre in New York next month! So give the guys at SM a break, be patient, and I am sure we will get some Aliens guests annouced soon.
  14. Hey I have been reading your thread with interest and well I have been going to conventions and signings now for over 13 Years! Yes, I do remember when Dave Prowse used to charge only £5 for a photo. But what you have to understand is photographic reproduction has gone up for 10 x 8's because of the demand for them. If you go to www.moviemarket.co.uk which is the UK's biggest seller of celebrity photographs you will see that they charge £3.99 for a photo. On top of that, their are copyright fees which have to be paid to the owner of the images. Then there are the actors expenses such as Hotels, Food & Transportation etc. and after that you have the actors wages for doing the show, which more often than not goes to the actors charity! All things you probally have not taken into consideration! Also their prices at the show are just the same as they would be at any other show that they appear at, with one difference, with Collectormania you do not have to pay £10 to get in! So lets stop bashing Show Masters, because they do a good job, bring a wide selection of guests for us to see and at the end of the day they are not forcing you to buy the autographs!
  15. I think I will be making a guest appearance this time!
  16. Hi I am male, aged 30, currently single and totally insane because I am part of the Collectomania Team! If any female is interested (Are you insane?), who does not smoke and is not bad looking, then drop me a line! X
  17. I am very impressed with the guest list so far C3, especially Billy Boyd & Andy Serkis! How about getting some more bond guests though? You only really have Julian Glover (Who is an awsome guest by the way!). How about getting people like Richard Kiel, Louis Maxwell, Samantha Bond or even Dame Judi Dench! Also I would like see guests from Batlestar Galactica & Buck Rodgers, people like Herb Jefferson, Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict, Erin Grey, Gill Gerard. Jonathan
