  1. Excellent addition to the line up. GoT guests always welcome.
  2. I met him on Friday, it was great to meet him as am a huge X-Files fan. He was perfectly poilte but to be honest I did not find him to be at all chatty and actually was a bit 'vague' which made me wonder if he was slightly jet-lagged. I tried to start a conversation with him but it didn't get very far. So although I am pleased to have got the autograph I can not say that he was a top guest for me.
  3. This seems to me to be the fairest option, is there a reason why this sort of system has not been done? I am sure it must have been considered in the past. I know the first time I attended I was caught out by the pre-paid vs pay on the day issues and was as equally miffed as the original poster about it. I think that the common perception for a first time is that buying in advance does give priority over those buying on the day. I am not entirely sure how it could be re-phrased to make it clearer, and certainly once I had attended the first time I was well aware the second time that this was not the case. As for my feedback (not photgraphs as I did that elsewhere!) I would have liked a programme, even if only a printed piece of A4 paper with the important talk and photoshoot times on it. Please consider re-instating that in future. It really doesn't need to be anything glossy. The GOT live commentary screening was an excellent addition to the show. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope that more of that type of event will be considered in future. I am not entirely sure the ticket number = row in the auditorium worked though, as there were not enough seats left in the front for people that had the correct ticket numbers. But short of policing everone that sat down (which would be a logisitical nightmare) I am not really sure that anything else can be done. It relies on people being honest about where they sit and sadly some people weren't.
  4. I actually thought things were a lot busier on Sunday this year than last year. maybe it was jsut the guests I was wanting to see, but last year things were relatively quiet before 11 but this year there seemed to be massive queues from the start. Or at least there were for the Sunday only GoT people. Strangely though, I did not find Satruday anywhere near as bad as it was last year, but I had less to do on Saturday so that was probably something to do with it.
  5. I did not get my pack as I had forgotten to put my preference on my booking form when I ordered it adn in spite of emailing on three separate occasions (one of which was almost immediately after I made the booking and relaised my mistake) that infomration never got through. However I was told that if I wanted the pack of my choice it could be posted to me, so I took that option. One of my friends was more disappointed with the fact that her preference had been noted but when she went to collect her pack (as requested after 12 on Saturday) it had been given out to someone else. Apparently people who collected early and had not specified what they wanted were allowed to choose from the packs that were there. That doesn't seem completely fair.
  6. It was only the Lena & Peter shoot I had the issue with. I had other pictures at the event and they were fine... OK i may not be 100% happy with me in them but when do we ever really like pictures of ourselves? It was only that one and I accept full responsibilty for not getting them both re-done but as I said I had already had 2 taken so to make a fuss and demand 2 more in front of the actors would have made me feel so foolish I decided not to bother and write the whole thing off as a bad experience never to be repeated. Such is life. I guess it's also the case that had it been a photo on Saturday I would probably have gone back on Sunday for a re-shoot, but as it was Sunday that wasn't an option. That is not a criticsm though, I relaise how difficult it must be to try and timetable all the photoshoots in.
  7. I do appreciate that I should have made a fuss but felt embarrassed to do so. I felt that upset anyway that I could not face having them retaken as was in no mood to smile. My choice i know. I am just wanting to feedback that had the photographer checked his pictures I am sure that he would have realised at the time that they were not up to standard at the time and this could have been avoided.
  8. Please excuse the complaint but I am extremely disappointed with the photographer who has just done the Lena and Peter double shoot. He was grumpy, rushing us through and clearly did not care about the photos being taken ir wasn't bothering to check. At £60 a picture It was not cheap and yet the photos he seemed to think were ok are really not great. I had 2, the first not even Lena looked ready and in the second my eyes are half way to closing. I was throughly disappointed. I realise that it was up to me to make a fuss there and ask fora reshoot, but felt far too embarrassed with the actors right there. So a plea for the future... CHECK the pictures before rushing us away. If there is not time to give each person the chance to walk away with a decent picture then don't sell so many or allow more time. Quite frankly I will think twice before paying for any more in future as this has soured what was otherwise a great weekend for me. My photos have been binned.
  9. FANTASTIC news I have wanted to meet her for ages and have missed her in the past.
  10. To be honest it all looks great for this year. I like the double and group photoshoot options, nice to have photoshoots on a theme.
  11. Thanks for the clarification of how it's likely to work. Good to know in advance what we need to do. Am hoping to go and get some food between the show and the screening so if I know the hall is loaded in ticket number order (more or less) then that will make it easier as I won't feel the need to queue for ages beforehand. Whilst David is adding to the polls, I have voted yes for me, but my friend is also a definite yes and he isn't on the forum, so that's one more that can be added.
  12. Sansa, is that you little dove? I am only a little bird, repeating the words they taught me
  13. I don't watch The Walking Dead so I still want a nice GoT announcement please
  14. Arrow event? Yes please. Not a fan of Grimm though so would prefer it if both shows had their own events. That said I would still rather have half an Arrow con than none at all.
  15. Answering emails does seem to be a problem. I have emailed mulitple times (and then found out that as I was using hotmail they were just being lost). I then emailed from a non hotmail address and never got a response to that one either. It's not a big problem so long as my email was actioned as it was simply my auto pack request, but I would have expected some response as I did ask for confirmation the email had been received.
  16. Thanks for the info, it all sounds good. Really looking forwad to it.
  17. Sorry Queen_Sindel, i thought I had been careful too! No offense intended. I tihnk the issue would be that for a weekend event people would want main cast, and they are (as their prices at LFCC show) expensive. So in order to make an event viable a lot of tickets would have to be sold and sadly it does not appear that a GoT only event does sell enough to cover those costs.
