I've heard a lot of people say that they've gone from a huge amount of meets over the weekend to barely any lately. Myself included. I met 6 guests this time and they were mostly made up of people I decided to see last minute just because I could, and that 6 is a huge number compared to the slim pickings from the last few years. At my busiest I was getting in 15 or so guests over a weekend.

Honestly I'm relieved I chose not to go tomorrow as well because the only person I would have wanted to meet is Eve Best and she's cancelled too

Obligatory lament about how dead the forum is these days... How's everyone finding the con? I'm back from my one day there (considered doing Sunday too but decided not to) and it was a good one yet again. Still very bitter and upset over Olivia Cooke's last second cancellation, and it did knock a lot of my enthusiasm for the event, but I still made the most of it with the other House of the Dragon guests and got some good merch. I found today a lot quieter than most Saturdays though. LFCC doesn't feel as grand as it used to somehow.

Got myself the most I've had in a while today. Matt Smith, Sylvester McCoy, David Wenham, Shani Smethurst, Evie Allen and Leo Ashton.

Seeing as Olivia Cooke is attending no more... I'm all the more glad I chose not to do the Alicent cosplay.

I agree. Though I've felt like that the last few events if I'm honest. Used to be that I'd easily meet around 6-10 guests per con, but the last few years it's been a max of 3 and even then that's with me splurging on an autograph I could take or leave, just to make the day feel more worthwhile. I guess it does all come down to personal taste though. I'm not a fan of things like Star Wars or Doctor Who so that rules out a lot of guests for me personally, but to a lot of other people that's like a dream lineup.

Watched Freaky, with Kathryn Newton and Vince Vaughn. Surprisingly not terrible, and got a few chuckles out of me. Love me some good cheesy horror comedy.

Old (2021). The reviews for it on letterboxd are unforgiving, but I loved it.

Just watched Pixie (2020). I love that, in peak Irish cinema fashion, I can't tell if this is supposed to be a thriller or a comedy. One thing I know for certain though is that I would murder and be murdered for Olivia Cooke.
