Just noticed that neither Tom nor Matt have been added to the main websites homepage. Assuming web site maintainers haven't had chance to do this yet, rather than it being an oversight ?

Showmasters, any updates regarding whether this is still likely to happen or has the guest pulled the plug ?

I echo @Chris1970 comment. I had a backpack with me for all 3 days. Each day was a check of the bag. I only had water and auto/photo holders in there. Unsurprisingly my bag has fuller when I left the building :-)

I thought it was a great event. I only went to meet Carloyn Seymour and Tom Baker and neither guest disappointed. Ive been to a ton of conventions, and Carolyn was a real standout guest for me, had plenty of time to discuss things Steptoe and Son related. I don't think I need to say anything about Tom, an all time legend. Things got a bit crazy around the time of Tom's photo sessions, but the crew got on top of it, especially with the volume of people and relatively confined space of the venue. They did a great job with what was available to them.

Fingers crossed for Bruce Campbell. Got a feeling there'll be at least one GOT guest though

Do children under the age of 5 required to have a ticket, or is it free entry for them ?

So how many more film and TV guests do people think we'll get before the show? If the Showmasters claim of "this year will be the largest number of guests yet" is true, then I'd expect to see at least another 20 before the event. Im expecting some big names, as we do seem a little short on those compared to the last few years. Don't get me wrong there's plenty of people im planning on meeting, but for typical Joe Blogs, I don't see too many big name draws as of yet. Come on Showmasters feed our guest announcement cravings !!

Wonder when we'll get the next truly superstar announcement? Don't mean that to sound disrespectful to any of the other guests, but with the exception of Doctor Who guests we're a little thin on the ground regarding the big names. I'm happy with the lineup so far though, seeing Tom Atkins announced ticked off a number of my favourite movies. Looks like it's only a matter of time before Rowan Atkinson is announced . That will be awesome

Agree with @Hunter13 regarding the Murray Walker and Bruce Campbell shouts. I'm hoping to see a number of announcements this week, now that Destination Star Trek Germany is out of the way.

I know we're a long way off the event, with lots more guests to still be announced. Do people here think it will be the best event to date? Obviously everyone has different tastes, and a big guest in some peoples eyes, wont be a big guest to others. For me 2015 has been the biggest event so far, with Sigourney Weaver and Michael J Fox in attendance. Finger's crossed that Showmaster's can surpass that this year, although I must also call out that 2016 and 2017 were also awesome!

Does anyone think that Showmasters will ever be able to top the 2015 lineup? Wow, we had some stellar guests that year, Michael J Fox, Sigourney Weaver etc. There's some great guests this year, and still time for more to be added, but I think 2015 will be hard to top. So, what's everyone else's favourite LFCC to date?

Morning, ive attended two different conventions this weekend, and it's reaffirmed to me how good a job Showmasters do with their event organisation, including approach to e-tickets, paying for autographs etc. In addition their crew are head and shoulders above anything I've experienced at any other event. Usually really well informed, communicative, friendly etc. Just wanted to call this out.

Anyone else coming on here mutliple times a day clambering for new announcements ? I even get the Twitter notifications, but still persist with checking the forum! Showmasters, you need to feed my habit !

Wonder how big hall 4 is? Guessing much bigger than the hall that Sherlocked was in at the Excel? Not far from Birmingham now, so I'll find out soon enough I gues 😀
