  1. That should be alright, but be mindful they may decline and you might have to pic from the images at the desk (which have always been very good)
  2. I was just about to put what knitty Fred said too lol should be OK if it's just a photo like a respectable film tv still or a photo of you and the guest
  3. They usually have 5 or 6 to choose from at the guests desk which is included in the autograph price, however you can bring in your own items to sign
  4. Any time I've gone To the summer event I've always gone gold (which helps with non diamond guests for autographs and photos speeds up queue time and no vq ticket needed) I have always managed to do everything that I've purchased a diamond pass for with the aid of a gold pass (unless something changed by the celeb. I didn't get a diamond for Christopher lloyd but got a vq ticket (gold benefits dont work on a diamond guest) and I never got to meet him because his queues were always so long I think my vq ticket was 275....and so to guarantee meeting someone diamond and gold helps to speed up your day, I'd say though 90% of the time you should be fine if you get to the diamond guests first to get vq tickets (if you don't have a diamond pass for them) and hope for a low number
  5. Melissa Benefit? (supergirl) heat vision =hot super breath can blow things out....cold? Bit a stretch lol and she is the lead of her show? Relatively new so many not have done a con before?
  6. To be fair, it does actually state all of the information we gave on the first page of this very thread. (Bold letters, above the pretty coloured in schedule bits) Oh god yep your right, looks like I need to go to the opticians!! Completely missed the in your face bold text.
  7. Hi, I have a diamond pass for jeremy, can I use this to attempt to get his auto and photo on the Friday rather than the Saturday? Many thanks
  8. Hi all. Great schedule so very excited and only 3 days to go! My question (I can't see it answered unless I'm going blind) I'm a gold pass ticket holder with a non diamond pass photo shoot batch 4 for Fake on Sunday. Am I right in reading that it's diamond passes then gold (no matter the batch number) then standard photos batch 1 and possibly 2/3 or gold and standard batch 1, gold and standard batch 2 and gold and standard batch 3? Thank you and I hope everyone has a great time!
  9. For me it's the following surviving the con essentials: 3 or 4 bottles of water Sweets Lunch Mini fan (it's always hit) Name tag (so it's spelt right) Deodorant (just incase better to be safe than sorry) Folder for autographs and photos Floor plan Autograph check list Photo tickets Money And a compass as I usually get lost for the first day haha
  10. HI QS as always very useful information, the FAQ helped me my first year big time :) I have one question if anyone can help (Tried to find the answer with no luck)? This is the first year ive bought a Gold Pass for me but a Saturday entry for my friend, obviously were going to be in two seperate queues - my question is i paid for the tickets on my card and made SURE the entry tickets are in both my name and her name, what does my friend need to show as confirmation (Will the ticket suffice or do I need to trust them with my bank card?) as ill be in the gold pass queue, probably miles away and the teleporter hasn't been invented yet Thanks Rich
  11. Hmmm something to do with a clock ticking or time? A Dr from Dr who? Ohhhh kiefer Sunderland they have a clock/time/count down motif
  12. Looking at the gold pass details now being sold Friday to Sunday a prop shoot is included plus the 2 £10 auto and photo shoots. Doesn't look like a compensation for the cancelled day and price still the same as it was Thursday to Sunday.
  13. This is pretty much how I spend my summer con: I'm going with my cousin this year (her first time after being bribed/persuaded as I needed someone to go with me) So this will be me and her the only difference is she will be my slave for the weekend :) - but if you see me and her no mentioning slave please
  14. Was thinking the same thing. Star Trek 50th. or a Buffy / Angel reunion. Alyson Hannigan has done at lease 1 convention in America, also SMG was rumored a few years ago Id love to me Emma caulfield and Tom lenk too loved Anya and Andrew.
  15. Hmmm. Based on the diamond guests and big guests we had at Summer. A big guest for me would be Alyson hannigan, (well anyone from buffy and Angel) someone from the jj star trek films as the film is out next year and it's the 50th anniversary fingers crossed for Zachary Quinto, Anton yelchin or Chris Pine!! Or anyone from DC tv series or marvel.
  16. I don't know if I have missed the post (looked through all 3 pages twice) but the main page states the Game of Thrones Throne is going to be there (Winter is coming......), but you go to the Forum and no mention of it (I can see the Raptors shoot). Can anyone confirm if it will or wont be there? Last year there was no post about the throne but it was actually there (its preventing booking 2 extra tickets as my other half's Dad and mate wants to go just for this). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Ritchie
  17. There's a brilliant Italian restaurant called Donatello (in the lanes) big portions for a very good price if I remember rightly.
  18. Hi Shangel, I have to say that is one hell of a guide for LFCC 2015! very impressed, sounds like you had a enjoyable event it would take me weeks to right all that up! Read about the "accommodation or your DIT apartment" Cant believe what they left for you both in the wardrobe and you had to make your own bed! Id have to go to Tesco, buy some washing up gloves or heavy duty gardening gloves and remove to the bin! nice :s Looking at your grading im going to try and sum up each guest (autograph wise) this took ages!!: Sigourney Weaver - Responder - Lovely lady, told her I was looking forward to the next Alien instalment, looked up and smiled and thanked me - not much conversation but that's due to her being a HUGE guest. Bill Paxton - Responder - good bloke very smiley and happy, shame he didn't do personalisation's for non Diamond but can understand why. Said Hi, thanks and have a good day. Michael Gambon - Responder - said thank you have a good weekend, didn't look up much though, but he had a huge queue, autograph was personalised Richard Dean Anderson - Conversationalist - fabulous guest! happy to talk, looked up at you, shook your had said hello, thank you goodbye, had a smile on his face and was making jokes about the amount of chocolate he has received stating hes ganna get fat and then laughed. (I didn't think I would get to meet him because his queue was so long and he left early Friday, luckily got him 5pm on Saturday. autograph wasn't personalised Catherine Tate - hmmmm ........ Responder: looked up was very polite had a brief chat wished me a good weekend autograph was personalised. Neve Campbell - Responder - No one was in her queue was I went straight on up, asked if she would like to be in another scream film, said only if it was a good story and think there needs to be a final conclusion, however with the TV series its highly unlikely another film will be made polite and friendly but the conversation didn't flow. autograph was personalised Carrie Henn (Newt Aliens)- Conversationalist - Was dubious about meeting her (only went due to the diamond pass incentive) how wrong was I, very friendly, talkative, polite said the usual pleasantries. Asked would she have been open to another Alien film if it was made back then, she said she would have jumped at the chance, I asked if she would like to do a cameo in the new film, but didn't really answer. Had to ask the crew and the visitor how to spell Affirmative (first request was about 4pm on Friday) of course once you pop you cant stop - the rest of the queue wanted that on the autograph. very happy lady! autograph was personalised Jason David Frank - Conversationalist (but a short one due to queue length) - very happy fun guy, agreed with me that Power Rangers Dino thunder was the best one and that it was a throw back to the original series. shock my hand said all the pleasantries and took a selfie (the only one to do this)autograph was personalised Robert Englund - Big Guest Conversationalist - I was over the moon to be meeting The one and only Freddy Kruger!! "childhood" fantasy he was such a nice guy, talkative, friendly, happy smiling, looking at you when you spoke. Asked him about making another Nightmare film he said he would rather do a sequel no interest in a prequel even as a cameo, he did tell me though they are looking to do a prequel which I had no idea about!!! Top man! autograph was personalised Kelly Hu (Abigail Chow - Warehouse 13) - Hmmmm toss up between Responder / Conversationalist - Very friendly and polite, looked at you when you were talking, had a smile on her face said that working on Warehouse 13 if only for 6 episodes was the best year of her life (Watching the TV show I can imagine there all like a family) Line was pretty long so couldn't chat much. Lovely lady. autograph was personalised David Bradley (Filch Harry Potter, Abraham Setrakian The Strain - Responder. Nice guy didn't get a chance to chat much because his line was ridiculous, enjoying filming the Strain and he hopes its renewed for a third season, so am I !! autograph wasn't personalised Steve Cardenas - The Groucho - Didn't seem interested, didn't have a favourite photo, made no attempt at conversation might has well have been on his phone! No one was in his queue so you'd have thought he would have chatted a little bit. autograph was personalised Sylvester McCoy - Responder - happy friendly,I asked him would he like to do another 5ish doctors, he wold like to but it would have to be a new idea and sort after as everyone done this for free, which I didn't realise! autograph was personalised Steve Coulter & Michael Traynor - Conversationalists - I was umming and erring over Steve and Michael but I was so glad I met them, both guys were lovely and talkative, were happy to talk about the walking dead, Told Steve he is the heart of Alexandria and wondered if Michael was going to continue being a A**ehole and what would he prefer he said he wants to be the bad guy! I asked If I could take a picture of both of them together and they happily agreed :) they asked me to get over in there and join in I couldn't be happier - both autographs was personalised Daniel Portman - Responder - happy pleasant and smiley - didn't say to much but that was probably more to do with me being in a rush. very nice guy though! autograph was personalised Gareth David Lloyd - Responder - I never thought id have the chance to meet Gareth, he was so lovely! I was in such amazement and excited that I couldn't really say anything, just hope I didn't dribble and have a gormless look on my face! autograph was personalised Collette Hiller (Corporal Ferro - Aliens) - Conversationalist - very talkative, wanted to spend a minimum of 3-5 minutes with EACH person, talking about what you do for work, having a good weekend etc, however I was in a rush as by the time I got to the front it was time for a photo shoot really wanted to personalise the autograph for each person which was more than I could have hoped for. Thats my partial (not very descriptive) review of the guests I met, not as in depth as your excellent review though. Rich P.s im gutted I didnt meet Sean Gunn couldnt remember him being in two episodes of Angel!!! They need more Angel and Buffy Guests - Role on James Masters at the Winter Con! Also gutted I didn't meet Hayley Shame I didn't watch episode 1 of Agent Carter in time
  19. Photoshoot yes, autographs no I asked in the day too. Not a major deal breaker for me though, as I just like the chance to join the end of any queue (except Diamond) ^^ i did think this was the case, you could use the vouchers for more expensive guest, making the rest up in cash. sure there was a thread / discussion on this prior to the show? anyhow this weekend for me was very tiring, pretty sweaty but overall totally amazing. Had diamond for Freddy + Sig & was extremely pleased with them (did forget to go to the Aliens talk cause of doing other things but that was my fault). photoshoots as mentioned a few times above, in one area is the way to go. already looking forward to next years show.
  20. I agree with this! Also having the photo shoots on one floor would hopefully stop the clogging up of other floors with people waiting for the next shoot,
  21. Thanks for the comments Jason - however I think there are some other points that need to be looked at too. I purchased a Gold Pass (3rd year running) and two Diamond passes (Robert and Sigourney). I attended all 3 days from opening to finish. I must say I think the Diamond passes worked very well they did what they were supposed to do and im sure without these I would not have managed to get everything done without them (for those specific guests). The Gold pass left me feeling VERY let down: 1) Gold passes on Friday were not handed out in the queue like previous events, this meant there was no access to the event 5-10 minutes earlier (Allowing breathing space to get Barings) and then only 3 people in the entrance area going over tickets and handing out passes, and just before you got to them Eventbrite staff were moaning rather loudly and saying why is no one from Showmasters handing out passes in the queue....... (Surely this needs to be investigated?) Eventually the queue started to move after 1pm and weekend tickets were being allowed in at the same time.... (Saturday and Sunday were very much better) 2) Gold Pass room - much better than previous years away from the crowd, more chairs more tables more refreshments - HOWEVER on certain talks the stage entrance was sealed off and we were told to move away- which meant the Gold Pass room was closed too - this is one of the perks for buying a Gold Pass - I understand things need to be shut up/closed off due to talks, however maybe not have a dedicated room for Golds in a talk area? 3) Gold pass usually allows you to join the back of a queue (unless Diamond so a VQT was required) on 3 occasions the gold pass had no affect, I was told to go away and come back later, came back later (45 minutes) and told to go away again (David Barclay) spoke to a Red shirt eventually and I was slotted in to the end of the queue Richard Dean Anderson - He was not a diamond guest yet Gold passes were only being allowed to go up 1 in each batch of 10-15 VQT - surely that's not the point of a Gold? 4) I think the layout most definitely needs to be revised, It was very difficult to go from Stage 2 on the 3rd floor to photo shoot D in 5 minutes....Maybe the photo shoots need to be on one floor, so there eash to locate at least you know there all in one area? Signings need to be spread across two floors and the stalls need to be on the remaining one and signing floor? I noticed that the signings for Collette Hiller, Gareth David Lloyd the queues for the signings were snaked all along the walk way and also spreading right across the walk way in a straight line blocking the area and very close to interfering with the photo shoot area (A I think). 5) The vouchers for the £10 Sigings and shoots, were a good addition (Only used one for signings) due to the fact there wernt many £10.00 guests of interest, it would be a good idea that you could use these to pay for higher valued gets and paying the difference like the photo shoots were allowed, I think this needs to be revised as it may then mean a visitor might be more interested in getting a £45.00 autograph is they have a £20.00 voucher to use (Yes there only paying £25.00 but that's £25.00 more than they would have done. 6) One gripe with the Diamond passes for Robert Englund - I don't think the blue crew knew what it entitled, we were told to join the back of the queue (from my understanding that's the right thing) however other diamonds were told to start there own queue (so there were two separate lines - diamond and diamond and VQT), other diamonds were slotted into the already long line and others moved to the front, I think all teams need better understanding of what to do (I know Diamonds are new but surley there should only be one rule not differing rules dependant on who you speak to) I did enjoy the event and was so happy with the guests that were in attendance, I didn't think it was as packed as last summer until the incident on the 3rd floor where we were not allowed in the goods lift (Eventbrite shouting at visitors not to use and what you doing) queues for all lifts and a 30-40 minute queue for the stairs. I would say this is mostly an improvement from last year, much more space and hope next year with the further 40% space things maybe better laid out and passes adhered to by staff (Otherwise what's the point in paying more if your treated like you haven't) I hope the comments are justified and hopefully improvements made. Thanks Ritchie
