Haha, I knew you would Fiona is lovely; I worked with her on a film couple years ago, but have never met her dad yet. They're both working on the new Chucky movie, so hopefully they'll be bookable in Q3 or Q4.

Horror Guests and Horror Franchises
Graphic_Delusions replied to Showmasters Pre Orders's topic in Guest Suggestions
Ehh, scuse me, nowt wrong with us over here! I have nothing against Northern Ireland at all, so apologies if it came across that way. I'm sure you can relate to my frustration (if you travel to mainland England for their other shows); unless there are sufficient number guests to meet, then forking out for travel and accommodation can be a big risk with cancellations. I live in London, which is great, but travelling beyond Brighton, Sheffield and even Cardiff means I couldn't do it all in one day. -
Horror Guests and Horror Franchises

I've been sharing the first announcement. Looks like people are genuinely excited for Ari Lehman on Facebook, more so than the chosen location (Newcastle). Now I've just seen Lar Park-Lincoln announced, another good horror guest, but I'm not travelling all the way to Northern Ireland. It's like waving a piece of candy in front of you, but far away -
Horror Guests and Horror Franchises

Guests from Nightbreed Clive Barker (Writer/Director) - Previous Showmasters' guest in 2011. Loveliest guest to meet and really hope I get to meet again, David Cronenberg - Unlikely, but I wonder if he's ever been approached to attend a con? Even if he attends for half a day, would love the opportunity (as do many others) Oliver Parker - UK actor turned director who recently directed the Dad's Army remake. Please book him! Craig Sheffer - Was announced back in 2012, but cancelled. We're still waiting for him to be rescheduled. Anne Bobby - You can't have Craig Sheffer without Anne :) Christine McCorkindale - who played Shuna Sassi. Guests from Candyman Tony Todd - A Regular-ish guest, but still popular and great to meet. Virginia Madsen - Lead actress in the movie, American Gothic TV series and loads of other movies. -
Horror Guests and Horror Franchises

Chris was at LFCC in 2009. Yes, I knew he has been before, but I meant as of recent (i.e. the past 5 years). I wasn't attending these cons back in 2009. It's now the 8th year since he last attended, I'm just surprised he hasn't been booked before than given the popularity of his work and his regular attendance of other cons in America & Europe. Same goes for Brad Dourif, Bruce Campbell and Linda Blair. -
Horror Guests and Horror Franchises

Hi JG, Thank you for putting up this thread, it's a pleasant and welcome surprise to see the Horror genre being looked into this year. Certainly myself and others have cried out for many years with the lack of real horror guests (just check the horror forum on here), but we did have a spectacular LFCC 2 years ago but has since died out again. There is a market for this, but of course you have to select the right guests & reunions to bring people from all over the UK / World to attend. Other (new/smaller) companies are doing it now and are seeing increased ticket sales! Something you did last year where you worked with the Germany show and we saw certain horror guests like Amanda Bearse from Fright Night. Would be good to have them over here in the UK where they can also do Germany in the same week/month. I still want to meet Sean Chapman from Hellraiser. I was going to do the pre-order service and send in my poster, but I would rather meet him and wouldn't want to risk my poster (with everyone's signatures on it) to get lost or damaged. I really hope he does come to a London show, or even Brighton because that's more accessible/closer than Newcastle or Cardiff. Also I wouldn't want to travel that far and then be told he cancelled or left early. So my list I'd like to see. Return Of The Living Dead guests (My favourite zombie movie of all time), but in particular: Thom Mathews (also was in Friday 13th part 6 which is my favourite sequel of the Friday 13th franchise) Linnea Quigley (Horror Scream Queen; I finally got to meet her in 2016, but would never say no again) Miguel A. Nunez Jr (a rare signer in the con circuit, but has more of an active career and is in popular films like Scooby Doo, Friday 13th and Lethal Weapon 3) Allan Trautman (played the famous TARMAN zombie and in the sequel too. He also does a lot of voice acting in popular animated films including the recent Jungle Book) Would love to meet legendary actor James Karen, but at 93 years old, I don't think he would travel and I think he retired from conventions in America last year. An American Werewolf In London: John Landis (Director) - (He's done cons in the past, including the UK, but would love to meet him). Rick Baker (Legendary Oscar winning special FX Makeup artist. Now retired from working on film, but I'd do anything to meet him in person. Just look at his film CV!!! ) Would love to see the leading actors David Naughton, Griffin Dune (how about joint photoshoot with them wearing their red & green jackets ), Jenny Agutter and John Woodvine. Fright Night (1985) reunion!! This film is ever so popular. Every time a new dvd or bluray is released, it sells out instantly!! Tom Holland (Director/Writer) - also Directed Childs Play, some Tales of The Crypt episodes. Chris Sarandon (Why has he never been booked?!! Great actor, also in Childs Play, and well known for many popular films. Actively doing Cons. Also voiced Jack Skellington in A Nightmare Before Christmas). All the other cast including William Ragsdale, Amanda Bearse, Stephen Geoffreys. Rob Zombie's 31 reunion!! Newest film by rob zombie and would love to see guests from this film: Rob Zombie Sheri Moon Zombie Jeff Daniel Phillips Malcom McDowell Richard Brake Pancho Moler David Ury Lew Temple Torsten Voges Elizabeth Daily Meg Foster Judy Geeson Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs Other names: Brad Dourif (Voice of Chucky and acted in many great films) - Again very hard to understand why he hasn't been booked. Likely to be the guest announced on Monday? Bruce Campbell - highly requested guest. I recon he's too big now for the smaller shows. I see him as a diamond guest for LFCC. Linda Blair - another highly requested guest that I'm surprised hasn't returned to the UK for so many years. Could be the guest to be announced on Monday? Michael Rooker - Walking Dead, Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer, GotG. Sid Haig - House 1000 Corpses, Devils Rejects. Asia Argento - Dario Argento's daughter. Heather Langenkamp - A Nightmare On Elm St. Franchise. C.J Graham - Played Jason in Friday 13th Part 6 I can think of loads more, but I'll get back to you once I check my horror collection -
It's definitely looking like it's Millie Bobby Brown. Showmasters tested the waters last year when the series became available and not everyone managed to watch it at that time. Since last year's LFCC, Stranger Things has grown; more people have watched it, there's increased media attention and it's a given that more would want to meet her (at an increased price no doubt). The cast have also attended other cons, so a reunion is very likely (I'm really hoping for Winona Ryder!). Also it's likely that the second series would be completed by next Summer, possibly even released on Netflix already.

Great stuff, but did I miss an event? I thought John Saxon was retired from cons..

Tobin Bell Appreciation Thread
Graphic_Delusions replied to Lenasbitch92's topic in London Film & Comic Con 2016
Do we have any idea as to why he wasn't allowed to add quotes? No idea. Could be a copyright thing. Never heard of such things from meeting guests. Copyright was the only reason I could think of as well. Somehow it seems unlikely for copyright reasons, but I met him at another event and there they asked him not to write any quotes either. I figured it was a way of saving time since he had to get through a lot of guests, but who knows. Well if it happened at another event then it's very likely to be another reason. On Sunday there was a 'No Personalisation' sign up, yet he was personalising with anyone who wanted it. He took his time with everyone, long enough to write out a few extra words. Together with that and not wanting to hold a quote printed on paper during the photoshoot (though happily held a SAW Billy head/mask for someone else), suggests something else. -

Do we have any idea as to why he wasn't allowed to add quotes? No idea. Could be a copyright thing. Never heard of such things from meeting guests. Also a guy in front of me during the photoshoot wanted to have a piece of paper in shot that (from what I could see) contain a quote from SAW. I saw the guy speak to Tobin to which I heard him reply "I can't do that". The guy then dropped the piece of paper to the floor and carried on with the photoshoot without it. -

My experience at his autograph table wasn't as engaging as I'd hope it would be. With that said, it wasn't terrible and impolite, just not as engaging as other people's experiences I've read here. Most likely tired, but he didn't really acknowledge my first greeting when asking how he was doing. Maybe he couldn't hear me. For me, first impressions count in meet & greet and I've had better introductions from other guests than this one. Fortunately the conversation got going and improved when asking him to sign my SAW dvd and a personalised 10x8 photo for my sister. I asked him if he could add 'I want to play a game', but he said he couldn't add quotes otherwise he would get into trouble. Since I was aware of how slow the queue was moving, I decided to not ask him questions about SAW and leave after getting the items signed. As I turned around to leave, he said "I hope she likes it", I turned back and thanked him and he gave me a nice polite smile. So yeah, the 2nd half of the meet was better than the introduction. -
Has anyone met Rutger Hauer yet?
Graphic_Delusions replied to spgyid's topic in London Film & Comic Con 2016
Urrggggghhh Dealers.... some are scum of the earth (not all obviously) but I constantly witness their behaviour and hounding, I have wanted to hit a few over the years for vile antics at events (seen them push children out the way even!). These days all I see is them driving the celebrities away before fans get to say even a quick hello even! I agree. Dealers are 100% pure scum, aggressive bloodhounds and frustrating to witness at cons and red carpet events. I do recognise them at Showmaster events, especially yesterday. To hear that they approached Rutger in that manner really grates on me and they should have been ejected out of the building. -
Security were quite on the ball all weekend but the ones I saw seemed nice. Jeremy Renners photoshoot two people were cosplaying as Black Widow and Hawkeye and had fake arrows/fake guns. Security calmily went over, asked a couple of questions politely and checked them. No fuss from what I saw. Most are nice and are just doing there job protecting who they're with. Though perhaps Famke's was a little over-zealous I didn't meet Famke (never planned to), but I did witness today her security guard searching a guy's plastic bag before continuing with the 8x10 autograph purchase. Never seen that before! Did appear a bit excessive, but I'm sure security had their reasons to check the bag.

Gutted I could not meet her, hope Showmasters will bring her back along with the other kids from the show, no touching is understandable, could you at least ask her to do "the angry I' gonna squash you" arm extend hand Force things.... Don't know how to call that, I would have ask her to do that pose if possible You mean like that? Millie was great to meet. For someone so young and attending her first convention, she was extremely enthusiastic, chatty and confident.

Unfortunately we don't have much of a list for potential horror guests that are located in the UK. Most famous British actors in horror films have since moved to America or British made films simply use American actors. There are a lot out there in Europe though; especially in the Italian, Germany and Spanish regions - something you should think about ;-D With that said, here are some UK based guests I'd like to see: Sean Chapman (Hellraiser) to attend a show in, or closer to, London. - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0152521/ Oliver Parker (Actor in Hellraiser and NightBreed. Director of Dorian Grey, Dad's Army etc) - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0662529/ Bob Keen (Special FX for films like Hellraiser, NightBreed, Event Horizon, Candyman, Dog Soldiers) - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0444571/ Christopher Figg (Producer for films like Hellraiser, Dog Soldiers, Botched) - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0276541/ Robin Vidgeon (Cinematographer that was announced for a previous Showmasters London show but cancelled) - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0896485 Ian Holm (Alien) - http://gb.imdb.com/name/nm0000453/ Richard E Grant (Warlock, Bram Stoker's Dracula) - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001290/

LFCC TO SHOWCASE JUDGE DREDD COLLECTION
Graphic_Delusions replied to SM Comic Zone's topic in London Film & Comic Con 2016
Looking at the ad, with this being owned by an individual I would be frankly amazed if we're allowed to even touch it, let alone sit on it. Will keep the fingers crossed. I'd be totally up for it if we can sit on the bike, however, as you said, it's very unlikely.- 44 replies

Big guest announcement this Friday at 7pm
Graphic_Delusions replied to showmasters's topic in London Film & Comic Con 2016
I think this is the best and realistic guess we have. I hope so too. Both Michael Emerson and Tobin Bell are the last remaining main cast I need for my SAW DVD -
You and me both So sad to hear of his passing. RIP Trevor
