We've got a question, actually! We've been visiting Cons for years in many different countries and we keep wondering "What is the connection between comic cons and wrestlers?" We don't nec. watch wrestling but we don't nec. get the connection either! Obviously it's great that they're there for the fans who get a chance to meet them but why wrestling and not most other sports?

Outlander does look amazing (and music by Bear McCreary who...once again...we won't impose but still..he would make a great guest!)
-
we think, with over 200 replies, SM has a couple of suggestions lined up already - can't wait to find out more about dates/venues/guests now
-
silly doesn't cover it
-
so... if SM can do Stan Lee do you think they can bring over the awesomest of awesome...BETTY WHITE!!!!!! we'd love to be at a q&a with her... she's so on point and totally hilarious! (she'd possibly force us to empty our bank accounts and make the trip)

we're basically waiting on...anything... right now

if we're not wrong, these have been returned to her..we contacted her about it again and let her know of the existance of this topic so she could clarify just to be sure :) Edit to add: Photos have been returned to the owner! -
We don't nec. agree with the fact that US cons thrive mostly on movie guests. There are many, many, MANY US-based cons (including San Diego) that thrive mostly on TVstars appearing at their cons. They do have the added benefit of being in-state or at least in-country which means airfares are much lower than any non US-based con would have to foresee. They're also more likely to premiere movies or series at these events because they're so local. If TV was a niche market, most networks wouldn't bother with pilot season, renewing shows the way they do now because it just doesn't cover the cost of making the series if the US market doesn't buy into it. What we do believe, however, is basically a same trend that has been happening in the UK and pretty much all over the world: the world of Conventions is opening up to a larger, more mainstream audience because more and more networks realize the promotional opportunities that come with an event such as Comic Cons. It's become less of a sci-fi/anime/...exclusive market which is beneficial for everyone who wants to meet their favorite actors or even organize an event like this

here's something we've been wondering since LFCC14 isn't there an easier, more up-to-date, productive way to handle the VQ system (if you need it at all, for some guests)- than to have someone at the beginning of the queue handing out the rip-off paper VQs and updating the numbers on a board with a marker? Not only do people need to cut the queue to get a VQ, updates (as we've noticed over the weekend) are often not on the board as the numbers go up and with people scribbling through wrong numbers and writing the correct numbers next to it really small (as we've seen at the Anthony Head VQ board), it doesn't make a very clear and professional impression Why are the people handing out the VQ's at the beginning of the queue? This could be a separate table with all the VQ's being dealt with by a couple of staff members? Why are there numbers handed out which clearly can't be dealt with in a single day? Obviously, VQ number 3500 will have a difficult time meeting the guests, so why not limit those numbers and if people don't use their VQ's (like happened with Juliet Landau, which was a very annoying situation, staying below VQ200 up until..was it 3 PM on Saturday?)), open up the queue for people with higher numbers and/or no VQs If people choose not to show up for their called number, that's their own choice... the other people waiting in line shouldn't have to wait because "numbers upto 250 hardly showed up" (that was the explenation we were given) - if they don't show up, they should just get to the back of the line (like everyone else who was waiting tiredlessly for them to move up the numbers)
-
the thing was, we couldn't leave and come back because the VQ system w/ anthony and another guest were such shambles, we didn't get to meet either of them even though we spent the entire afternoon waiting for someone to write new numbers on the boards..then, when we were almost at the other guest, we had a photoshoot clash

we passed the info along to our friend :) xx thanks
-
a friend of ours can't subscribe to the forum because of hotmail, either
-
interesting, we also wanted to post about composers..so the ones above here + Christoff Beck & Bear McCreary!!!!!!!!!
-
we'd say they could use the Mme. Tussaud's statues but they might melt due to heat we're guessing they'd be included in the Comic Gold Pass haha (or the possible newly introduced A-list guest pass...maybe called a "royalty pass")
-
both Edward James Olmos and Jamie Bamber were extremely chatty and friendly at our autograph signing and the photoshoot! had loads of fun meeting them (also...Meeting EJO...bucket list check-off, right there!) even got these special things during our photoshoots sign reads: "Leaders of the twelve colonies, Maj Lee Adama is in Cylon Hands! Give us the Eye of Jupiter, or else..." sign reads: ""leaders of the twelve colonies, Adm. William Adama is in Cylon Custody said the Admiral: Frak them, scramble all alert Vipers!" Also had an adama super squeeshy

we'll discount 0.0000000000001% for that one guy we saw jumping at least 4 queues while he pretended to wait/try to find someone and got rather aggressive when people called him out on it
