  1. Only 2 I really want to meet at the moment, but there's another 3 I could take or leave. I'll probably meet them since I'm already spending the money on travel/hotel, want to make it worth my while!
  2. Well they can't please everyone, for me Birmingham is a serious trek, (and of course costs a fortune to get there too). Personally, I think alternating between the two is a great idea, it means that no one is constantly getting the short straw.
  3. I can't wait to see it, we'll have to make sure we get lots of pictures of us freeing the people, overthrowing the government, building our barricade etc! I'm almost there with my Enjolras, just got to make my waistcoat and sash, which hopefully should be starting this week. If all goes well I'll be wearing it for LFCC too, so I need to get a wiggle on. Also thinking about doing a HP cosplay on Sunday, but I'm going to try and get everything done for London in July before I start worrying about that one!
  4. Just confirming venue as we speak! :-) I expect it to be The Radisson Edwardian, Heathrow! :-) Mark :-) Oh. That's a pity. Love the venue for the con events but I had a bit of a catalog of disasters here last time, including a room with no heating and a replacement room where the ceiling leaked. Birmingham is much better. Wow, bad luck on the room! Mine was perfect, I LOVE the Radisson!
  5. don't panic, even if they did switch to paypal, you would still be able to pay via paypal without having to make a paypal account, it works exactly the same as any other card payment
  6. Just got back, got my photo ops with: Jenna-Louise Coleman, Billie Piper, Dave Legeno, Torri Higginson, Chris Judge, Rupert Young and Gethin Anthony. Everyone was lovely and friendly, but my favs were Rupert and Gethin, mainly because they were so darn HOT! Didn't get an auto from Rupert, but Gethin was probably the friendliest guest I've ever met - he took time to have a proper conversation with every single person. Overall CM:MK was a fantastic weekend, and I am SO glad I went. Well worth the scary amount of money I spent on it!
  7. I don't think you need to look like a character to dress like them, part of the fun is doing something completely different for a day.
  8. Yay, that means I can go to CM20! Best news ever!
  9. Definitely more than worth the money, even though I'm now very, very poor! I had SUCH a good weekend!
  10. I think I might follow Too Tall's suggestion and bring a CM:MK sign, so people know who they're looking for.
  11. Lol, we must've met before! Ah, thank god you posted that! I didn't realise there was more than one, I've probably ended up sitting in the wrong one, wondering where everyone was!
  12. That's a brilliant idea! I would never have thought of that!
  13. Start a thread for it in CM! I'll be there, so long as I can actually find wetherspoons!
  14. Ah, exciting! If only I actually had the money to buy a ticket! But at least I'll be able to book the time off work.
  15. Yeah, I'll be in MK too, and therefore internet-less! Well I'm sure someone will be able to tell me who it is at the con on Saturday!
  16. Well I'll see you on the FB page then! I'm only theming it up for the Friday - I wasn't sure what to do for the vegas one, so in the end I just decided to wear a nice dress and some shoes that I'll fall over in! I wish I could do costume make up, but I can't even do normal make-up! Seriously, eyeliner takes me about an hour to put on. Really looking forward to this, only 8 more days!
  17. I love blackjack, only game I know how to play! We should gamble for forfeits!
  18. YAY! I love my Iron Throne picture from LFCC so much, I'm actually tempted to get one on each day Three outfits, three poses!
  19. I really haven't even thought much about mine yet! I've got all the stuff that can be bought (shoes, shirt etc) but knowing me I'll probably leave everything else until about three days before!! For the Saturday I just have to make a waistcoat and sash, so I'm not too worried, but I'm still in the ideas process for Sunday! Everyone is putting so much effort into theirs, I bet they'll all look fantastic! Compared to how long it normally takes me to make a costume, this one has been really easy, I'm almost worried I've forgotten something! If I accidentally show up without trousers, someone let me know?!
  20. Not really sure, I've not been to MK before, so I don't know the lay of the land! I'm at the Shenley travelodge, so somewhere not too far to stagger back to there!
  21. That's a lovely idea, though, sadly, I have no room to display the hundreds of signed 10x8 photos I have! So, a nice display folder would be the best thing for me - something easy to access and look at the collection in a nice folder. I used to frame mine as well, but I ran out of space a few cons ago. I'm in the process of taking them all down and doing a bit of redecorating, so I'm now also looking for a better way to display them. I like the idea of a really BIG book that can maybe hold 2 -4 per page, anyone seen anything like this?
  22. I can't wait, my first time at MK so I'm really looking forward to it. For me the guests I'm most looking forward to seeing are Rupert Young and Dave Legeno. Disappointed I won't get to meet Eoin Macken, but still loads of guests I want to meet, so I can bear the pain!!!
