  1. I loved the Cloverfield one too. The "Snake! Snaaaaaake!" bit made me giggle because it reminded me of the Badger song (which is insane). There were a couple of great manga-style drawings - especially the one of Sylar. Loads of good stuff, really. There are some witty (and talented) buggers on here. I'm afraid I was boring and did just my username and location...
  2. Hee, I think you may have been in the queue behind me. I remember someone there with her mum, who offered to get a gold as a birthday present. Ahhh, gold... once you've done that, you never want to go back. Especially after this weekend! Worth every penny.
  3. I hear yer on the tiredness. Post-party crashage sucks big-time. But it was WORTH IT.
  4. I did book mine (thank goodness I got a bonus at work last month!), but yes, I found that somewhat perturbing.
  5. Well, I'd been looking forward to it in any case, but that exceeded my wildest expectations. I had an AMAZING time. The parties were great fun (the casino night decorations were magnificent), the talks and quiz show were great fun, I got all the autographs I wanted and even liked my photos! I loved, loved, LOVED the guests - they were awesome and it was great to see some of them mingling with us at parties (and not getting mobbed, which was also a relief). Adair was amazingly self-possessed and articulate, just like Noah (plus a great sport on the karaoke and sumo wrestling); Dania was gorgeous, had the most amazing shoes and came to every party; James did lots of witty asides and visual gags; Alan was wonderful to talk to at the cocktail party (I could barely tear myself away!) and Stephen is a master storyteller - his final anecdote had us literally weeping with laughter. They were a smashing line-up. Thank you to Showmasters for putting on such an entertaining schedule, and to the crew, who did their usual excellent work (an extra shout-out to those who were at the cocktail party as they did a great job keeping everyone circulating and ensuring that we met all the guests). Needless to say, I signed up for Eclipse 3 first thing on Sunday morning! THANK YOU!
  6. Hee. I know what I'm wearing tonight. For the other two, I'll just wear any old thing and admire everyone else's efforts. Having NaNoWriMo in the same month is draining the creativity somewhat. [/lazy and uninspired] LATER...
  7. Oooo! Well done for bringing it up. Must remember to wear mine. Although if I wear it tomorrow and nothing happens, I'm not wearing it for the rest of the weekend as otherwise it would not be pretty.
  8. I was so chuffed when I found out Robert was playing Arthur in S3. I've had a teeny crush on him ever since I saw him in *ahem* Alligator...
  9. Word. That would be beyond awesome. And I haven't seen Adrian for over a year now so it really is about time he came over here again... As for other people I'd really like to see: Jack Coleman, Greg Grunberg, Zach Quinto, Masi Oka, Leonard Roberts, Kristen Bell, Francis Capra, Jayma Mays, George Takei (I've met him at CMK but it would be good to have him at one of these too), David Anders (again!) and Robert Forster all come to mind, but when it comes down to it, I'm not fussy. It's all good!
  10. Thanks for the message, Jason. I really appreciate all the work you guys put into these things and the way you take feedback on board. See you all tomorrow - eeeek!
  11. Thanks for this! And yay, lie-in on the Sunday! I hope the guests get one too - I was wasted with jet-lag when I came back from LA a fortnight ago and needed another five days off just to recover...
  12. Am I the only one who thought the Sunday night party at E1 was boring, well apart from the 7 or 8 people dressed as Superheroes I thought it was quite dull compared to the parties the prior 2 nights. I know quiet isn't for everyone, and I wasn't expecting it to be like that, but I actually enjoyed it the most of the three because I got to hang out with some of the people I met over the weekend and we had a really good laugh. But I'm looking forward to seeing how all three turn out this time as well.
  13. Yikes, for some reason I thought the Sunday shindig was going to be a general heroes/villains-themed party. That's my (extremely vague) idea down the drain then! Back to the drawing board... Good to hear we're going for a DJ and partying till late this time. Not that I didn't enjoy the last Sunday party as it was - that was a fab time.
  14. I'm afraid I suck at fancy dress, but do have some ideas to fit in with the themes... There were some fabulous outfits at the Petrelli Ball night at Eclipse. I was most impressed.
  15. Oooo, interesting choice! And hey, I'm sure he's just as scared of us as we are of him. *cough* Also, genius shameful idea, those of you who suggested a Nightmare Man/Molly talk team-up! Genius! SHAAAME!
  16. Wah! I was looking forward to meeting her. Oh, well. I look forward to seeing her at a future event.
  17. Yay - she was one of the guests I voted for in the original who-do-you-want post! I loved her in X3. And hey, S3 Maya's not too bad now that the writers aren't having her bawl all the time. (Although I should be whipped with barbed wire for not recognising her in BtVS. Bad me. Bad!)
  18. well at least we know who to blame when it all goes wrong Ha! I can see myself having to wear a t-shirt saying, "It was ME!" (Then I'll be dragged off by the feds and asked questions about the grassy knoll.)
  19. I can't narrow it down to two! There are lots of great guests. OK, Greg and Jack are at the top of my list, but Jayma Mays would be good, as would Dania Ramirez. I know I've already met George Takei, but if he were available, I wouldn't say no - the guy was the nicest and easiest to talk to out of any signing event I've ever attended and a group talk/photo with him would be awesome. OK, that's probably unrealistic even though he isn't main cast, but hell, one can ask. Failing that, how about Francis Capra? I loved Weevil on Veronica Mars. Really, I'm not fussy.
  20. There are party themes now? Damn, I completely missed that. Bad me. *blush* Ahhh, I see the post now. I was convinced that was a POTENTIAL party themes post. Ooops.
  21. Nope, that was Kelly Connell (as Norman Pfister.) Although I am amazed to discover Tobolowsky was Pilot!Principal Flutie. I MUST get my hands on that pilot someday, just so I can see what could have been...
  22. That explanation of the gold pass not necessarily meaning priority in the autograph queue (unlike at a signing event) makes much more sense now. As it happened, I obediently waited until my gold pass group came up for each guest so I could get my autographs, and I'm glad it that way as it meant I didn't just get all my autographs in a rush and then have to sit around and twiddle my thumbs until the next talk/event. Barring a bit of confusion regarding photo queues on the Saturday morning, I found the whole system worked pretty well and I'm confident I'll get a good experience this time round also. (Oooops, I've jinxed it now, haven't I? )
  23. Cool - another new guest for me to meet! (Also, she was in The Mistake? Damn, I'm going to have to watch that again now.)
