  1. Oh no memories of LFCC 07 flashing before my eyes with the esculators lol. Oh Well Too Tall can jjust stop them with his voice
  2. Yay! Gutted that he got announced for Muggle Mayhem and I wasn't able to go. He should be cool to meet. But think I need more money...
  3. Cool always love a good crime novel so will take a look at what there is. I take it that it'll be normal RRP prices for the books
  4. Ha StarTrekSpock I am also a student and this show is gonna blow my student loan as I'm starting to think about it lol Hotel: £90 Train: £50 Entry: £20 - including this spent about £70 on online store with talks and John Barrowman photo shoot. Autos I'm probs looking close to £200 depending on if I get everyone on my list and whether any more guests are announced Photoshoots -erm i don't even wanna think about it probs bout £100 there - all in all looking at bout £500 being spent on this weekend not including stalls. Thank God I don't have another event til at least April
  5. Wow this is actually quite funny. Living are back on season 1 at the mo and he was in an episode the other day and i thought he would be cool to meet and he got announced haha. Cool guest though
  6. Yay! It's been a while since Gareth attended this style of con and it'll be nice to meet him again after Hub3
  7. Cool well their seems to be a few people staying at the hotel so this sounds good. Well closer to the event we should suggest a time and a place to meet although it would depend what time people want to go down on both days. I dunno bout everyone else but I would like to get low VT's for guests on both day lol let me know what time everyone thinks
  8. Well if you mean the one in relation to the hotel it's not that long a walk about 10 minutes or so if that. And when it says it's 24 hours it's one that means 24 hours as me and my friend went there at like midnight during LFCC
  9. Ahh they'll be no worrying about that as I don't think I'll be drinking when i go to this lol. Darthnad glad to see your up for it and what ur cosplaying as?
  10. Hey guys. This may sound slightly strange but here goes: I've booked for the Easy hotel the weekend of London because I realised that quite a few people from the forum were planning on staying there. Now I am a firm believer in strenght in numbers and I personally don;t have much of a clue where I'm going, and don't fancy turning up late because i got lost. So my suggestion is we maybe meet up at a specified time and all walk down together. I know this depends on what time we all want to be there but I just thought it might be a good way for people to get to know others more and to make sure we all get there on time and don't get lost
  11. Firstly I'd like to say I had such a great weekend, was my 2nd con of this type and had again a brilliant experience meeting some great people (mention to Sazzy, Kim, Vicky and anyone else i met this weekend). The Good: The guests: James Marsters, bless his soul, by the Sunday he was clearly in pain and I so admired and went away with massive respect for the guy for doing this event and staying all weekend and still giving up his time to sign, take photos etc. He could have easily turned down SM but when i thanked him for coming he said that if he agreed to do something he would do it, so major kudos there. The other guests were great as well; Mark was hysterical in the talks and was nice at the signing, James was lovely with his little headache on the Sunday which i kept asking him about and Nick was so lovely, again another little star - coming to both parties, spending time with the guests and making his way around the room talking to everyone and just being a generally nice guy. His guest encounter on Saturday afternoon was so great and well worth the money. The Crew: As usual an amazing crew working this event, guys at the photoshoot areas and at the collection point who must have been stressed on the Sunday what with Boots' slowness. Also special mention to the girl running James auto queue on the Sunday for finding my auto ticket; saved me from having a slight heart attack. The Parties: Were generally quite good. The halloween party i didn't really dance at because it was just too packed but from what i heard the music was quite good. There was definitely a good atmosphere what with the kareoke and the bucking pumkn on the nights and i felt more relaxed at them than i did at the Hub chatting to other people. The not so Good: The Thistle: Ok now thankfully i didn't have a really bad experience but just little things were quite annoying such as the key cards not working after going back to your room once and then having to trawl back to reception to re swipe your card. Hotel staff were slightly rude; when waiting at reception for said key card swipe one member of staff was on the phone so i stood patiently waiting only to then have him say quite loudly "excuse me" wave his hand at me and look at me as if I was quite thick. I also thought the little tuck shop was kinda over priced (a kit kat for a £1? ) However the beds were comfy and the room quite clean which i thought was good. The Talks: Even though the content of the talks were generally quite interesting, i felt there was quite a delay in getting some of them started. I don't know whether this was because of the guests not being there or something else i just thought they could have started a little sooner espeically as it felt that some of them weren't long enough. Also the fact that the all guest talk on the Sunday was extremely cut short was a little disappointing as it didn't seem very long. I can understand that there was a mistake but it was a little disappointing. Photos: Boots- that's all i have to say. Overall this was such a fab weekend and i will definitely book for Hallowhedon 2
  12. I gave the restaurant a miss when eating food at lunch at the evening choosing instead to got to McDonalds. When i got breakfast there however, it took a while for me to be seated. The bar staff did seem a little overwhelmed especially on the Saturday night when there was a lot of people at the bar. Also the tuck shop was a good idea especially if you just want a snack but it was a tad over-priced. The Hilton at the Hub3 was cheaper at their discount food than at the thistle. £1 for a kit kat and other chocolate bars does seem a little overpriced when at the garage i got 2 big twix bars for £1.20 Also on a different note, did people also have the problem of their key cards continuously not working. It felt that every time i went to get it fixed at reception i then had to go back every other time after using it once. Quite an inconvenience when you have food in your hand.
  13. Hey, I remember you and your friend, I was the one in Nick's guest encounter who then was in the room a few doors down. Haha you were so happy when Nick gave you a hug when you were leaving haha. Don't let anyone hug you for a while lol I will offer my feedback when I've had more sleep lol
  14. Yeah i too would like to add my thanks not only to Showmasters and Massive Events but also to the Crew that helped me over the weekend and all the great people I finally got to meet.
  15. I am sure she had fun, I dont really want to speak on her behalf though! But what she did for me, was just the bestest thing in the world ever :), I managed to speak to JM, over the phone for a few minutes, even have a cool voicemail message too :). Ahh yess she was telling me about that. That sounded so cool what he did for her i was grinning when she was telling me the story lol. She sounded like she had fun and for a cool £900 it was obviously worth it for her so good on her
  16. oh my goodness i've just checked and i think there's scheduled works through the piccadilly line which is the one i was planning on using. *sighs* i dunno what to do now cos i don't wanna miss anything. hmmnnn will have to think about this. Thanks guys for you help
  17. He is also on Facebook lovely and chatty and still seems puzzled as to why he was so popular lol
  18. Well didn't know quite where to post this so just thought I'd make a new topic Ok so I'm catching the 7pm train back to Newcastle on Sunday night and having just seen the schedule the closing cermony is not supposed to finish until 6.30 I have zero clue how long it takes to get from Heathrow to King's Cross and the tube schedule so i was wondering if anyone has any advice or knowledge lol that they could pass on. Thanks guys
  19. I've just realised that as well. But on the Saturday afternoon there's the Gold Pass group photo shoot so I assume that means everything else it pushed back.
  20. That is one of my favourite quotes it's so funny lol. Some others: "Are you insane. We're supposed to kill the B**** not leave gag gifts in her friends beds" "Roller Boy" The entire opening speech of Spike from season 1 episode of Angel (can't remember the name of the episode ) Anything Spike says in Lover's Walk "Do you like my mask isn't it pretty it raises the dead. Americans!"
  21. Depends Bazz put yourself in ur flatmates shoes and ask yourself how would you feel if they ditched your wedding for something. And ask them see if they would mind and just go over factors and stuff. But theres still a while til the event got plenty of time to consider unless u wanted to book early
  22. Thought of another one that kinda sums up Gareth the enitre weekend. Stumbling onto the group talk on Sunday holding up both a pint and a bottle in hand and then preceding to try and talk through the bottle instead of the microphone haha classic
  23. Making polite fun of Paul as he wouldn't ask the questions quick enough Gareth and Kai's insistance to end on a good question "John Barrowman straight" "John Barrowman found in woman" Quite a lot of the answers to the questions being John Barrowman Can't remember any more but there definitely is some I've missed and some have already been put on here
  24. In two minda about whether to go for Standard or Silver. I had a lot of fun being standard and just getting the extra photoshoots that i needed but the 3 guests that have been announced i would want photoshoots with all of them...hmn decisions.
  25. So can i just ask a really daft question because I'm getting a bit confused. Would it be ok to just ring the hotel and try get a room that way or do you need a code or something? Do you just mention its for the Hub to get reduced rates?
