Following hot on the heels of last weeks talent releases, the WWE have released more members of the roster as follows:

1. Referee Wes Adams.
2. The Highlanders tag team.
3. Stevie Richards
4. Colin Delaney
5. Smackdown Diva CHERRY.

Stevie Richards is another of the "we don't have anything for you at the moment" releases as this has happened before.

The Highlanders doesn't shock me as they did nothing for a long time due to one of them being injured, and then Robbie turning up on the live TNA Impact prior to WrestleMania in the crowd. I was surprised to see them return on Raw recently, but this has been coming for a while as they never really had that longevity look in my opinion.

Colin Delaney  is not a shock as his story with Tommy Dreamer has finished, and there was nothing else going on. He never dazzled in the ring when he tried as the story didn't allow for it. The irony is that he got the spot by chance as the one the WWE wanted wasn't available at the time. So, at least he got the exposure for a while.

Cherry was treading water since she broke away from Deuce and Domino. She was a mild hit with the fans, but her wrestling talents were not the best. Maybe she will return down the line if she carried on with the training elsewhere.

Wes Adams is a referee I do not recognise by name, so I do not knwo of any history that may have put him in the frame to be kept or released.

The Highlanders fate was pretty much sealed when the appearance in the crowd on the live TNA Impact prior to WrestleMania happened. There is one thing socialising in the bars - something the WWE would find hard to stop - but to go to a live televised event for TNA on the weekend of WrestleMania is career suicide.

I saw Robbie getting ready to go in to TNA with his family, Jonny Devine came to get them in and me and the group of people i was with all said he is silly for being there. Maybe TNA will feel bad and offer them jobs...

Talking of TNA and jobs...

Stevie Richards to TNA please! The guy has a lot of friends there and a lot of people are REALLY high on him there. He has a lot of talent, id hate for it to go to waste

I have tickets to see Smackdown at the Nottingham Arena in November and my number one reason for going was Cherry. Add to that my sisters favourites, Edge and The Undertaker, may not be there, you can probably understand why we`re feeling a bit down-hearted.

Taker and Edge have been confirmed for the tour, but all are subject to whether they are injured or not. Edge is due back in a few weeks after healing up some nagging injuries whilsr selling the HIAC match.

Taker is on a part time schedule as he is still not 100%.

Lance Cade, according to reports by Ryan Clark on WrestlingInc.com, has said thathe knows what he did to trigger the release. But he adds that he thinks it could have been handled better on both sides.

Current status of Adamle is "No storylines at present", but his contract is not that far from being at and end, and talk going around is that the WWE will just pay him until the end.

New releases today are Paul London and Chuck Palumbo

If Dykstra and Burke aren't the two unnamed wrestlers being disciplined for multiple breaches of the Wellness Programme Marijuana policy brought in earlier this year, then expect a few more releases very soon. Dykstra was on the verge of release months ago, but was brought back to job out. Burke has been in the bad books for a while according to multiple journalistic reports, but these have been down to apparent attitude issues. It is a shame as Burke had talent in the ring, and was great on the mic.

MVP is not being released, but his current losing streak leading into a probable face turn post Survivor Series is apparently due to the way he spoke to Wellness Officials a while back.

Despite recent reports that he was staying in TNA, multiple reports from his peers have stated that Christian Cage has told Dixie Carter and Jeff Jarrett that he will not be renewing his contract and will be accepting the WWE's recent offer. He has apparently told them that it is for financial reasons - similar to Gail Kim - and he needs to secure his future post wrestling. If he does jump ship, this could be another way to bring back Edge to the Smackdown roster.

Released on 18/11/08: Armando Estrada

Update on Ted DiBiase Jr. - Not only has Ted Jr just got married, but he is on extended ring leave to film the straight to dvd WWE Film THE MARINE 2.

More releases are expected in the near future as Linda McMahon recently stated that the WWE would be making operating cost cuts of $20,000,000. Some of this will be through using smaller arenas in areas where attendance has dropped. They are also hoping that the less seats available will create a buzz that getting to see a WWE show live and in person will be harder to do and thus build business up enabling the WWE to do special shows in bigger arenas. It seems the WWE heirarchy has it's business head screwed on well as this could ensure the longevity in a lot of areas in the USA. However, worldwide business is booming.

Marijuana Violations

If you check out the above link, you will see that Wrestling Journalist has named the two wrestlers caught out multiple times for Marijuana Violations.

Brian Kendrick is apparently one, and this would explain why his on screen push has come to a screeching halt.

The other is/was apparently Trevor Murdoch who was, along with several other alleged disciplnary transgressions backstage, fired a few months back.

Wrestling Journalist Ryan Clark is reporting that WWE Producer BRUCE PRICHARD aka BROTHER LOVE has been released by the WWE. As this is fresh from the ECW Tapings and Live RAW Show going on at the moment, the WWE have yet to officially announce it.
