  1. I couldn't find a specific YALC thread, so I'll ask here. I've just seen that Carrie Hope Fletcher has been announced as a YALC guest. I loved her in War Of The Worlds last year, so I'd love to get my tour programme signed by her. I have a couple of questions though. Do YALC guests sign things other than their books, or do I have to get a book signed as well? Also, would she be charging for autos? If she is busy, since she's sunday only, will they give out vq tickets, or do YALC have their own system? Thanks.
  2. Are you going to be there on the sunday? If so I'll try not to stare for too long.
  3. I'm sure you're gonna love it, and there are two post credit scenes. They're both awesome, I can't decide which one I liked more.
  4. I thought Spider-Man: Far From Home was very good. Not quite top tier MCU (Winter Soldier, Endgame etc) but still a very fun film. Make sure you stick around for those post credit scenes, they're easily some of the best ever.
  5. I'm pretty sure that SM have learned some things since 2014, and will be able to cope and deal with the crowds better this time around. I wasn't there at the 2014 event, so I don't know how bad it was, but every one I've attended since 2016 has always been well managed. I don't think there's anything to worry about.
  6. Amazing announcement SM. Sadly I'm only going on Sunday, but I'm so happy for everyone who will get to meet him.
  7. I am very excited for the new Halloween movie. I adore the Halloween films. As for a top 5... 1) Halloween (1978) That's the only definitive one I have. Other horrors I love are The Thing, The Fly, Psycho, The Shining and A Nightmare On Elm Street.
  8. That's a pretty cool story regarding the McGann tv movie. The Big Finish audios are certainly worth a listen to if you're interested. Sadly Colin didn't get much of a chance on tv, with only two total seasons, and most of Troughton's era no longer exists, but it's well worth seeing what they do have. And I certainly remember watching classic Who on the Horror channel. They still show Star Trek: The Original Series on there. I have no clue why they air old sci-fi shows on the horror channel.
  9. Oh man Tsuranga is awful . And of course Heaven Sent is a masterpiece. If only the episode that followed was of the same quality...
  10. Good list. I see you're more of a modern Who type of person. I'm surprised to see McGann that high. Have you listened to Big Finish, or is that position based on the tv movie alone? That's another thing I love about this show. Colin and Patrick are among my top favourites, but you have them near the bottom. I love how different people can have such vastly different views on the same show. Disagreements like these make this type of ranking interesting.
  11. Good to know that my marathon has improved your opinion on one of the Doctor's at least. I too love all of the Doctors, bar one right now. I'd say that all of the Doctor's have factors or episodes which could make them my number one, except for 13. Some of my favourite episodes are Smith era stories, and Smith himself is amazing. As much as I wanted to love Jodie, her series was poor. Hopefully Series 12 improves, and changes my opinion on 13.
  12. The Time Of The Doctor- This is a good episode. Far from perfect, but I enjoy it. Matt Smith gives his best performance here, especially in the final 25 minutes. Jenna Coleman is excellent as well. The cast is all great actually. The issues come from the script. There are some great ideas on display here, and Moffat does show off his writing skills. But he also shows off what people don't like about his writing, which is forced moments and shoe-horned characters and ideas. There is also a lot of comedy that doesn't work, especially in the first 20 minutes. The Christmas dinner scene and the interactions between The Doctor and Tasha don't land comedically for me, and there are many moments throughout like this. To start woth, the moment with the Weeping Angels annoyed me a lot, purely because we have seen them way too much by this point, and the setting does nothing for them. Tasha Lem is an annoying character, and the whole Papal Mainframe segment of this episode is quite bland. The Silence are under utilised as well. Remember how the Doctor was wiped from the Dalek mainframe in Asylum? That's an interesting idea. One I'm not fond of, but could still have had some interesting payoff. Here, that decision is reversed, making me question what the point of it was in the first place. Visually, this is a stellar episode. Everytihng looks and sounds gorgeous. Christmas is an interesting location, as is Trenzalore itself. This episode had to tie up a lot of loose ends from the Smith era. It does some well, but brushes over others, leaving a somewhat messy episode as a result. The crack in time is reintroduced, as are the Time Lords, and both are utilised effectively. There are some slight pacing issues, especially around the middle. This is Smith's episode, and he gives a powerhouse performance. The scene in which he is granted more regenerations is amazing, and his regeneration is heartbreaking in the most beautiful way. Overall- 6/10. Overall rating for series 7- 7/10. This is a good series in my opinion. It's not as consistently bad as series 6, but it does have some bad episodes. It was sad to see Gillan and Darvill leave halfway through this series, but Coleman does such an amazing job that I don't mind having half of a series without them. When this series reaches its peak (Rings, Day, etc) it features some of the finest Doctor Who ever in my opinion. And that is another era of the show done. Now it's only Capaldi's era and series 11 left.
  13. Heaven Sent and The Ark In Space are undoubtedly classics of Who. The Dalek Invasion of Earth is a very interesting choice. I do have a soft spot for that one, but it seems to be a Dalek story which is rarely brought up in conversation nowadays. It's a shame though, because I really like it, and it's nice to finally see someone who loves it to the extent that you do.
  14. My ranking has changed slightly, so here's my current updated one. 1) Patrick Troughton 2) Tom Baker 3) Jon Pertwee (these top 3 can change depending on what day you ask me. They are the peak in my eyes.) 4) Colin Baker 5) Sylvester McCoy 6) Christopher Eccleston 7) Peter Capaldi 8) Paul McGann 9) William Hartnell 10) Peter Davison 11) David Tennant 12) John Hurt 13) Matt Smith 14) Jodie Whittaker
  15. I agree, it is a very good episode.
  16. I'm being extra, extra careful with this one, you've got nothing to worry about, but I do appreciate it.
  17. As far as a photo schedule goes, I just write down on a separate piece of paper where and when the shoot is. Nothing too special for that.
  18. This is all dependant on funds of course, and will probably change by the time we reach the event. For now, however, this is where I'm at. It's gonna be a busy day but I think I can manage it. Billy Dee Williams- Auto Lisa and Louise Burns- Auto John Barrowman- Auto William Shatner- Auto Matthew Lillard- Auto Robert Patrick- Auto Colin Baker- Auto Nicola Bryant- Auto Bob Gale- Auto Kane Hodder- Auto Val Kilmer- Auto James Jude Courtney- Auto CJ Graham- Auto and costume photo
  19. Now that I've (for the moment, at least) finalised this, I think it might be interesting to talk about it. I remember recently people were sharing spreadsheets and stuff about the guests they are seeing. I have a completely different thing which I do, which I haven't seen anyone else do, so I'm curious as to wether or not anyone esle likes this idea. Basically I create an image collage (such as the one below) of the guests I will be hopefully meeting at LFCC. I print a copy of it off for me to take to the event. I then tick the people off once I see them. I put one tick on their image if I get a VQ for that person. I add another tick if I successfully get their autograph. If I get a photo shoot, that also gets a tick. So some people could be ticked off three times if I manage to get both a photo and auto with them. I like this method because it allows me to easily keep track of who I've got and what I still need to get. What do you guys think of this? I've been doing it since LFCC 2016 so I know it works for me, but I haven't seen anyone else do something like this.
  20. That'll explain why you aren't getting him again then.
  21. Coming from a fellow slasher fan, surely Kane Hodder deserves to be on that poster.
  22. It's a shame you can't go this year, but at least you're still getting an auto from him.
  23. @R4wly97 Those are great photos, and it sounds like you had an awesome time. Are you going to meet John again at LFCC?
  24. Hello, welcome to these events, and I hope you have a great time at your first one. Ask all the questions you need to. The selfies would be taken at the guest's signing table, if the guest is doing them. They would be free, quick photos which you can take on your phone or camera. The photo shoots are photos taken professionally by crew members at the event, with proper cameras, lighting etc. So a photo shoot photo is generally of a much better quality than anything you can achieve with a selfie, and you get a printed 6x9 copy of your photo. As for the point of photo shoots, they are guaranteed, so if you pay for a photo with a guest you are guaranteed to get that photo so long as you are at their photo area at the correct time (the schedule will be published about a week before the event). Some people get photos because they like having the piece of mind, knowing they are definitely going to meet that guest, rather than try for an auto on the day and risk missing out on meeting that person.
