Ich war auch dieses Jahr wieder mit meinem K.I.T.T.-Replika auf der German Comic Con in Berlin. Diesmal war ich hauptsächlich wegen Tom Wilson (Biff aus "Zurück in die Zukunft") dort, der mir in meiner ZidZ-Startreffen-Sammlung als einer der wenigen Hauptdarsteller noch gefehlt hatte. Nun hab ich auch endlich noch sein Autogramm: Außerdem hatte Wilson mal eine kleine Nebenrolle in "Knight Rider", so dass ich mir auch von ihm ein Autogramm auf meine Heckklappenabdeckung geben ließ. Leider wollte er aber kein Foto mit K.I.T.T. machen und galt auch ansonsten eher als etwas schwieriger Gast (auch wenn er sehr freundlich zu seinen Fans war). Von daher bin ich mit dem Autogramm schon sehr zufrieden :) Ein paar Fotos hab ich mit ihm natürlich auch gemacht: Aber auch sonst waren einige Stars da, die ich gern treffen wollte. Allen voran z.B. Lee Majors ("Ein Colt für alle Fälle"): Auch ein Nachbau seines Dienstfahrzeuges war dabei, so dass wir am Sonntag noch einige schöne Fotos machen konnten: ... und auch Pamela Anderson wollte noch ein 4. und 5. Foto mit mir machen lassen (3 hatte ich schon letztes Jahr in Dortmund mit ihr gemacht). Irgendwann hat sie mehr davon als Playboy-Cover (das waren 14). Immer diese Groupies... Ansonsten traf ich noch auf Kim Coates ("Sons of Anarchy"), Walton Goggins ("The hateful 8", "Sons of Anarchy"), Sam Jones ("Flash Gordon", "Ted", "Highwayman") und David Morrissey (der Governor aus "The Walking Dead"): Mit Alfie Allen, Jack Gleeson, Daniel Portman, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Finn Jones und Carice van Houten aus "Game of Thrones" ließ ich ein Gruppenfoto am eisernen Thron machen: Außerdem traf ich Biffs deutsche Synchronstimme Thomas Petruo (mit dem wir viel Zeit verbrachten) und die deutsche Stimme von Robert Downey Jr. und Jamie Foxx - Charles Rettinghaus. Sacha Dhawan ("Iron Fist") ging von sich aus zu K.I.T.T. und freute sich, dass er sich auch mal reinsetzen durfte. Ansonsten gab es viel zu sehen und auch wieder jede Menge Cosplayer und auch andere Filmautos. So waren der ZidZ-DeLorean sowie ein Nachbau von Griffs BMW aus ZidZ II vor Ort... außerdem 3 Fahrzeuge zu "Jurassic Park" und wie erwähnt der Colt-Seavers-Truck. So, Dortmund ist zwar schon wieder eine Weile her, aber hier ist auch noch mein Bericht dazu: http://www.myKITT.de/events_gccdortmund2016.php (deutsch und englisch) Ein Video gibt's auch... Getroffen hab ich diesmal fast alle Stars, die da waren. Dementsprechend wird's hier bald eng mit meiner Signatur Highlight war natürlich David Hasselhoff, der auch Photoshoots an meinem Auto hatte. Leider lief das recht chaotisch ab und die Bildqualität war auch nicht berauschend (Fokus oft auf das Auto, so dass die Gesichter unscharf waren). Viele Re-Takes. Am Sonntag dann die meisten Bilder viel zu dunkel. Blitz ging nicht, da das Auto den reflektiert hat. Insgesamt schade. Ansonsten war's aber super. Hab durch die Photoshoots diesmal auch mit einigen Showmasters-Leuten direkt zu tun gehabt. Waren alle sehr nett :) Ein paar Fotos folgen. OK, dann sehen wir uns bestimmt. Ich bin FR-SO da, aber zwischendurch auch immer mal ein bissel auf der Con unterwegs. Welche Gäste "nehmt" ihr diesmal "mit"?

I'm also from Germany and got to know her on Friday while queuing outside, if it is the same Mona (Robert Englund Diamond Pass, at first tickets for Sunday only + YALC for Friday, but managed to be there all weekend with the help of Allison) If you want to contact her, I could find out her E-Mail via some other people, who also attended

Well, here we are after the LFCC: Still don't know, where to put my pictures. I don't have space at my walls... Maybe, I'll just make a photobook and put it there, too... Also I'm still waiting for my Hot Toys Marty McFly figure. I already got the Limited Edition, but won't unbox it. I'm waiting for the regular edition. It will be put next to Mr. Fusion with a new plexiglass box.

The final resolution is stated next to your image (the one with the Showmasters watermark on it)...

I am with you, but at least, the resolution is stated before you download the image. My standard photos are 3840 x 2560 at ~4 MB . You can tell it's not full resolution when you look at the details of the downloaded files. I also expected something more, but I don't want to crop, so it's still OK for me. I only downloaded 3 of 14 pictures. For the other 11, my scans will do... If it would have been full resolution, I probably might have downloaded (and paid!) a lot more... My DeLorean photo (no guest) is 3456 x 2304 at 2.5MB... but still out of focus if you look at my t-shirt...

It's just like a personal gallery for yourself. You can also share a link to your "lightbox" with your friends...

The news last week was that it will take several weeks. So the news today is, that it's still several weeks

So you were there for one day only? With a load of things to do? Not being flexible to change times? And it was overcrowded, so the ticket number should be limited? Of course, limited for other people, not for you, because YOU need to be there of course I had 2 clashes and 1 photoshoot where I was told to come back to a later one (all on Friday). I was constantly running between 2 photo areas. I don't say, that it was easy... all I say is that it was not surprising, because I knew it in advance (Floor plans have been released on Monday, the photo time table even before that). I knew about my clashes and I knew where the photo areas will be. If you read the comments here, some people seem to be thinking the con should be a "walk in the park" with only a handfull of people in queues and less ticket sales, so they can be comfortable. Of course, less tickets means that OTHERS shouldn't get any - not themselves... That's not how it works. Oh, so the weather is also a matter of Showmasters? It's July, so the chances for having a very hot day are quite "good". It's nice if it's not that hot, but if it is, it should not be surprising at all. That's what I meant to say... BTW: I had to put my jacket on during MJF Talk at Superstage on Saturday because of the A/C being quite cool...

I did have a blast. It was a great weekend. I got everything, I wanted (12 photos and 9 autographs, including MJF and CL) by Saturday 16:15! And why is that? Because I was prepared! This was my very first con, so I went to the website, to this forum, to the unofficial facebook page and grabbed any information in advance. I was not surprised about queuing, about heat, about 100,000 people, about VQTs, about short meeting times. All of that was clear to me before the event even started. So, I am sure: Everyone who moans about heat, "overcrowding" and stuff like this was not really prepared. I queued 2-3 hours before the opening times on all 3 days and got in pretty fast. First thing, I did, is run for VQTs. I got Diamond Passes for MJF and CL, because this meant guaranteed auto and photo (I don't care about the T-shirt and prints at all). So I had to get them. If you didn't, you're not guaranteed. And of course, everyone who bought them, gets priority. If you want priority as well, buy them! I had 2 clashes, but I knew, I should tell the pit boss and they managed everything for me. No problem in the end. So yes, I had an excellent weekend. Nothing to complain about! It was crowded and it was hot... but it was top guests and it was July! What do you expect? Nobody touched me, but if you feel so uncomfortable, when someone actually puts his hand on your back (not your bum or your chest, you know?), you maybe should not attend a show with 100,000 visitors. It may sound a little hard, but do you call for 2 meters space around yourself when you go to a concert? Oh, you don't attend concerts? Nevermind... So for me it's just time to say THANK YOU SHOWMASTERS! It was a great weekend. I spent 900 pounds on tickets only, but it was worth every penny!
