Sheffield Train Station

Good afternoon!

 

Anyone who is familiar with Sheffield know how good transport links are between the station and the arena? Is there perhaps a taxi rank outside each?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You should be able to get a taxi outside the train station no problem there's always some parked up and they'll take you straight to the Arena doors ...there's no rank at the Arena tho so when you get a taxi outside the train station take a note of the phone number so you can phone for that firm to pick you back up when your done...hope this helps 😃👍

A taxi isn't much more expensive and it's a lot more convenient and less time consuming especially having to figure out where to get a tram from and which tram to get etc

5 minute walk to tram stop and around £3.60 return, taxi you're looking at £12/13

That would make it easier. I was thinking they were getting off at Sheffield rather than Meadowhall. Going to Meadowhall by train and then tram would be far quicker.

If you can get a train best to get off at meadowhall then get the tram way easier.

I work at the Train Station as train crew.

 

There are at least 9 trains an hour that depart from Sheffield that head to Meadowhall train station, these are ran by First Transpenine and Northern Rail.

 

xx:06 Leeds via Castleford (Northern) arrives in Meadowhall on platform 4 (walk over the bridge towards platform 1 and then join the Tram there 1 stop)
