hobbitfanatic
I use to cos play a lot but I've since put a lot of weight on I use to be fine when I cosplayed hobbits as they meant to be roundish anyway but now I don't fit into my old costumes. I really miss it but I'm worried what others think of larger people cosplaying. I'm not looking to wearing something skin tight like a super hero or anything buy maybe Doctor Who cos play. Are their any larger people who cosplay and what kind of reaction do you get.
dwarfbabe
I see people of all shapes and sizes cosplaying at events and have never witnessed any of them getting a negative reaction. I don't think size should be an issue. If you want to cosplay, go for it. Edited April 19, 2014 by dwarfbabe
cropsy2008
You should wear want you want, it does not matter what you weigh, enjoy yourself. You will be amongst like minded people.
Wizzy5395
I've seen large people cosplay at events. And have yet to see anyone get a negative reaction. I agree with what has already been said. Wear what you want. You will be amongst like minded people. I saw a lovely larger lady dressed as Felicia Hardy aka the Black Cat. And she looked fantastic...! LadyDeTemps
I wear glasses...the person I'm cosplaying doesn't. Does this matter...will it stop me from wearing the outfit. Nope! Don't let your size stop you. Who were you thinking of cosplaying?

Don't let your size stop you. Who were you thinking of cosplaying? Was thinking of doing a female version of 7th doctor. I got half a costume sorted out for Bilbo as well but don't know if I fancy doing that any more.

TeamBenevolence
I've heard only one negative comment against plus sized cosplayers in all the years I've been cosplaying - but screw them, as long as you feel comfortable with the costume then go for it! Icena
Cosplay whatever you want, regardless of your size, height, race etc! At the end of the day we're all just fans in costumes, we have no right to judge one another. I'm sure you'll look amazing whatever you wear!
