JessicaCosplay
We are pleased to announce our Coplay Stars that will be joining us at London Film and Comic Con. Kelly Jean. Website: https://www.facebook...kellyjeanartist I've been cosplaying for a while now but this will be my first time attending LFCC. You may vaguely recognise me as the Lilith in the Rexon Borderlands video (my band!) or the latest Sneaky Zebra video I helped organise. I'll be holding a panel on 'cosplay for beginners', since I've ran a lot of workshops for kids and teenagers on how to get into the hobby (including for the Barbican museum, Bexley Gov. for their Anime and Manga society, GEEK and several comic stores). I'll also be judging the masquerade on the Sunday (I've judged for the Japanese arts festival, GEEK, HYPER JAPAN and a bunch I'm probably forgetting!). I'll have a table in the Cosplay Zone so please feel free to come on by and chat to me. Lisa Marie. Website: https://www.facebook...isaMarieCosplay has been attending conventions for 5 years, and cosplaying for 3. After admiring the brilliant costumes she saw at the events, she had to try it out herself and has been hooked ever since. Lisa loves the simple fact that through cosplay she can become all of her favourite fictional characters, if just for the day. LFCC in 2010 was in fact her first convention in cosplay, so an anniversary of sorts. She has made around 30 costumes in 3 years, and her collection keeps growing. She has cosplayed all sorts of characters from Lara Croft and Amy Pond to Disney Princesses and Comic Book heroines learning different techniques and using new materials as she goes. Lisa is delighted to be appearing at LFCC as a cosplay star guest. Masubi. Website; http://Facebook.com/masubi.locust, http://Facebook.com/masubii is a UK based cosplayer with a passion to create. Her love of gaming, films, cartoons and comics fueled her to start cosplaying many moons ago and has never looked back. With her partner in crime, Locust, Masubi wants to spread the cosplay word the world and share their creations. Stacey Rebecca. Website: http://www.facebook....RebeccaAltModel I'm an alternative model and cosplayer from London, England. I started cosplaying about a year ago, taking my nerdy costumes to photoshoots etc - and it really took off! My Mary Jane photos went viral overnight and I was dropped right into the international cosplay community. I love to create powerful images that are true to the source material and evoke an emotional response. I work a lot with Sexy Cosplay Girls, who I now work with as a member of the team, scouting locations, lending a hand on shoots and interviewing the very best cosplay models. I've recently started my international convention adventure, attending Megacon in Florida and another (currently top secret!) US convention this autumn. Cosplay has given me a huge creative outlet, allowed me to make some amazing new friends... And to travel the world! Here's to more adventures FlamboyantWreck and KellyJane. Website: http://www.youtube.c...ser/JenxtheJinx are two UK cosplayers and Youtubers, They have attended cons as guests both in the UK, and overseas in places such as America, Canada, The Netherlands and Ireland, and cosplay from a wide variety of genres. As well as hosting their panel at LFCC, they will also be around the convention for the rest of the day, so feel free to ask them any cosplay questions you might have! They will be hosting a panel exploring how to make cosplay videos for YouTube, editing and filming, and the difference between acting on screen and in person. This panel will also incorporate a Q&A, for any and all cosplay related questions. Chiquitita. Website: http://www.facebook....iquititaCosplay is a spanish cosplayer based in London with a passion for sewing, designing and all forms of costume. She has been cosplaying at conventions for 5 years whilst studying fashion and design for stage and screen. She has a keen interest in period costume, millinery and corsetry and loves to apply these skills to her cosplays. Tabitha - Artyfakes. Website: https://www.facebook...abithaArtyfakes I've been larping since I was 8, making props with my dad since I was 12. we run a company called Artyfakes which specialise in foam and latex props and costume for film theatre tv and media CosPlay Larp and much more! I was in the first season of ITV's Take me out and have only been cosplaying for a year! I work hard and game harder. Eleanor Mayne, also known as Eleae. Website: eleanormayne.com I'm a cosplay photographer, however I am primarily known for cosplaying too. I don't tend to take photographs at conventions, but I do shoots with people elsewhere, on locations and in studios, in the hopes to produce something more artistic, dynamic and interesting. I strive to create images that work with the character being portrayed, and look/feel like something out of the film/game/tv series/comic/etc. I'm also part of the SCG (scgofficial.com) photographer team, and have so far shot two cosplayers - Joey Green as Indiana Jones, and Stacey Rebecca as Victor Zsasz Pixie Late. Website: http://facebook.com/PixieLateOfficial Is a London based kawaii model and fashion icon who is passionate about many aspects of Japanese pop culture! This lead her to open up a UK based fashion and beauty shop called Pixie Bunny (www.pixiebunny.com). Her interest in cosplay stemmed from watching and following anime series when she was much younger and it is something she would like to do more often. As well as being a fashionista she had curated numerous Japanese street fashion shows as well as being special guests at events around the UK for establishments like the Barbican Gallery, Victoria & Albert museum and HYPER JAPAN. Jumpyghostface
This sounds great! I have a couple of questions for Kelly Jean: when will your "cosplay for beginners" panel be, please? My kid is just getting into it, and I think he'd enjoy this. Also, how do you get to join the masquerade? Do you have to register/audition or something? Stenun
Btw, who booked these Allstars? Every single one of them is an attractive young lady so I was wondering who'd been put in charge of this little exercise?

Not that it really matters, but I was contacted by Jess, the woman who created this thread. She is the cosplay coordinator. :)

I agree with lisa here, also the head of SGC (who is a bloke) I beleive will also be in attendance - we endevour to choose cosplayers that are from a varity of backgrounds to make sure we have as much varied content as possible, It has got nothing to do with attractiveness but about capability, skill and talent. Kind regards Jess Banks
