Resting or axeing the Daleks

Has anyone read the article about resting the Daleks or getting rid of them completely i think getting rid of them all together would be a big mistake but would resting them be alright what dose everybody else think i dont think they should axe them at all.

It's just resting them, which is a very good idea, and not an axe. It'll never be an axe, but it's far too easy for them to rely on Daleks or Cybermen or whatever else.

 

There's so many older villains we havent seen in the new series, as well as creating original ones, so I don't see why they should fall back on the easy option.

I doubt if they will ever be axed completely. They are too iconic and popular for that. It is time for a rest though. There is definitely a danger of both the Daleks and the Cybermen being overused.

they are just being rested for this series, moffat confirmed in his twitter as everyone was going mad saying they were on hold for a long time. its just series 6 according to the moff that they are being rested from,

 

though moff has been known to lie so they might turn up lol.

 

i wish they would redesign the cybusmen though (and deff with no stomping) into new cybermen

I think it is good idea to rest them, they have featured an awful lot in the nu-who. I would like to see the Ice Warriors in a new story or the Zygons or even Draconians. I wonder what it would be like to re-visit Peladon now.
