touchthesky
I picked up Amanda today (she is a gift, for me,but the person getting her for me couldn't get in and we were a bit worried she'd sell!) It made me remember how much I love the Saw series! Saw 5 on dvd soon. Saw 6 soon too.
bunnycure
What do you guys think of Japanese Horror movies? i really love them, cant decide which one was scariest though The Ring Or the Grudge? Loved the American remake of The Grudge but not The Ring and i havent seen the American version of The Eye yet. Shutter is another good J horror movie, but again i didnt like the american version, Pulse is worth a watch too!

Turtle
Friday The 13th (2009): A Review The new Friday The 13th fails to deliver upon the promises its producers made prior to it's release. At no point does it feel like an "old school" Friday The 13th. It feels and looks like an entry in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake series, which Jason Voorhees has wandered into - maybe it's to be expected, given that it shares its director, and most of it's creative team with the 2003 reboot of that franchise. The next fault that leads to this movie to its failure is the structure it chooses. I won't go into details, for those who haven't seen it - but ultimately the movie is left with little time to build any suspense. I had high hopes for this reboot, given the decline of the franchise under New Line Cinema. With the promise of classic Friday elements, I had hoped that this might return the franchise to it's rightful place. But it failed, badly. friday13thfan
Carnosaur, if you want to talk about the horror cons I've been to shoot me an email or add me on myspace at the address above coz I will get blocked for discussing them..... slimshady_2000@talk21.com I thought the F13th remake was kickass!!!! wasn't a touch on prt 1-4 but I didn't think it would be, I just enjoyed Jason being back in Crystal Lake and the fact he was human and had a bit of brain behind him.... I'm goin to the original town (Blairstown NJ) where the original Friday the 13th was shot, as well as the camp and lake in 6 weeks, also goin to the steps from The Exorcist, the town and woods they filmed The Blair Witch Project and the steps from Rocky and the statue, might also be headin to the original Amytiville house, although they have changed the iconic half moon windows now appearantly

friday13thfan
what about prt 5..... The remake wasn't trying to encorporate the 5th movie, the remake was taking elements and story pieces of the first 4 movies, mainly 1-3... hence me saying it wasn't a touch on those specifically....
