thefreckles
Okay, I am confused. According to the FAQS, photos are not allowed at all during any guest talks but at various places on the website it states that flash photography IS allowed for the first 5 minutes only. Which is true? Many thanks for any advice regarding this!
jacksparrowsmistress
Usually what happens is that you're allowed to take photos at the beginning before they actually start talking. Once that actual talk starts you're not allowed flash photography as it's considered rude and can distract the guest. Of course, if the guest doesnt want any photos taken at all you'll be told, sometimes they don't.
Brian1701
Yes you are allowed to take photo's but not video. Like it says 5 minutes' then the guests do their talk At the LFCC Nathan Fillion, Alan tudyk talk on the second day, while we took photo's of them, they got out their mobils and took photo's of us taking photo's of them. But in a nutshell, yes you can. Edited November 14, 2006 by datalore
Queen_Sindel
Best is to check the announcements on the day. At last G-Mex there was indeed no photography allowed at all in the talks, while it was no problem at LFACC.
Alx
Obviously the concern is copyright, when a guest is doing a talk they are infact performing and thats why photograpahry is restricted. By taking photos you are recording (whether still or video) their performance, and this dosent go down well with their production companies.. Showmasters Admin Too Tall Posted November 15, 2006 Showmasters Admin Share Posted November 15, 2006 Okay, I am confused. According to the FAQS, photos are not allowed at all during any guest talks but at various places on the website it states that flash photography IS allowed for the first 5 minutes only. Which is true? Many thanks for any advice regarding this! I up dated the FAQ after G-Mex as no photo's were allowed at all. BUt at LFCC4 they were again allowed for the first 5 mins. It is likely that this will be the normal and you will be able to take flash photos for the first 5 mins. So I've changed the FAQ back to the way it was, but do look out for signs when you're there.
