  1. Hehehehe, sorry chum, some confusion over the fees! Their representative agency (can't remember the name now) on their website quote these for appearences.....Jezza's sig for £25K? HELL NO!
  2. I've heard that one of the five Stig's is Johnny Herbert but how true that is is anyone's guess.... As for getting Jezza, Hamster and Captain Slow it would be awesome but I read somewhere Clarkson and Hammond can charge upto £25k each while May is around £15K-£20K! At those fees, along with his TG and journalism pay maybe Jezza could finally buy a Veyron! Hmmm, the Veyron.......anyone wanna buy me one? I'll be your friend
  3. Seeing as the GMex weekend has a few of the cast, how about a Red Dwarf reunion in full? Just an idea......
  4. I do have a copy of "If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor" and he does metion in the addendum 'Chins Across America - The Tour' about his promotional tour for the book and that he gets people to put their name on a post-it (same thing as Showmasters putting it on your ticket stubb), as well as a run-in with a kid named 'Ash' by his parents who is clearly not a fan! He decided a long time back not to send autographs from requests made to his website. However, and I quote from the site: "What about conventions, you ask? Absolutely - I'll sign whatever folks allow me to do - that's what they're all about and there is at least a little more to the autograph when I can put my clammy hand in yours for a nanosecond. There's also DESIGNATED time and space alloted for that type of thing. Granted, I don't do that many conventions these days, but any apperances are listed on my website." Wikipedia = 95% B/S. Still, maybe not a good idea to hand a copy of 'Moontrap' for him to sign..... You don't ask you'll never know!
  5. Ok, so I can fully appreciate that it may well be an out of reach dream/ask but I reckon Showmasters could pull it off.....he'd be a HUGE guest if he could agree! Anybody agree?
  6. Hahaha! I think I heard someone say that out loud too.....had to stop and try to figure that one out!
  7. I can see where the original postee is coming from and yes, I agree it can be really dissapointing but there are some upside as far as I see it: 1. As many others have said, the individual has cancelled has no doubt done so becuase they have an actual job and just like us all, no-one can turn down the chance of work. Sadly sacrifices have to be made sometimes. Besides, that person may be going on to be part of a show/movie that is worth watching and become something you really enjoy! 2. I doubt any of us who attend conventions can pop out to the big money tree at the bottom of the garden and pick a few of those very special leaves, so by having a few cancellations, it can save us all some money. No doubt many may well have saved for C12 (well done if you have! I've not got the patience for that!) but just like none of us turning down the opportunity of work, it's always nice to have a bit more cash in your pocket than you thought you would have. I'm personally really gutted Tobe Hooper and Ashley Laurence have cancelled and now I'm thinking about scrapping getting my Lament Configuration DVD set signed by Higgins, Bamford & Vince (still thinking about this actually!) but I can't avoid the fact I save a few quid. However, if Romero quits I will start to cry...... C12 still has some awesome guests so to everybody, just enjoy the day/weekend for what it is, meet some really cool people and buy some really great stuff. Spend some time in the company of like-minded people and revel in your passion for every cult-y
  8. Totally agree, he's the the West End right now in 'Swimming With Sharks' so I'd put my money on him being a big no for any con sadly.
  9. Simple: if you don't like the line-up or think you've been shafted over the proposed event.....don't go! It really is that easy! No-one is forcing anybody to a fan event where you don't think it fulfills what you desire and/or expect. For my two cents, I'm really happy with the line-up, especially the horror guests.......can't wait to meet Romero again, get to see Hooper, have Barbeau and Atkins sign my copy of 'Escape From New York' but even more so I'd love it for Doug Bradley and Kenneth Cranham to be at C12 as that would just top the 'Hellraiser' reunion for me but I'm not going to start whining about the fact that they are not appearing (as of yet! ). Sure, this will only be my second Showmasters event but I think they've done a bang-up job so far. Now, about Mr Bradley......
  10. Can I ask where you got a copy of that script? I'd love to read it. I found a copy of his 'Resident Evil' script a few years ago and that's far superior to the steaming pile of crap Paul WS Anderson churned out!
  11. Dear Jimmy. Can you fix it for me to meet some of the people related to either the comic or film adaptation of the outstanding '30 Days Of Night'. Maybe Steve Niles, Ben Templesmith or one of those movie bods? I'd be like a pig in s**t if you could make it happen. Ta.
  12. David Wenham would be great....don't know anyone else who's seen 'The Proposition' but he's fantastic in that also. One of those actors who's great even if they are featured in crap('The Proposition' is outstanding btw), people like Ron Pearlman or William H Macey, those kind of actors. Second Gerard Butler too......
  13. Arrhg! Too many! George A. Romero x3 Tobe Hooper x1 George Takei x2 Walter Koenig x1 Jewel Staite x2 Greg Grunberg x1 James Kyson Lee x1 Eric Avari x1 Matthew John Armstrong x1 Ashley Laurence x1 Claire Higgins x1 (will be two if I can find the programme for Miller's 'Death Of A Salesman'....) Nicholas Vince x1 Simon Bamford x1 Adrien Barbeau x1 Tom Atkins x1 .....and no doubt Doug Bradley as there seems to be a 'Hellraiser' reunion in the pipeline.....hmm, any chance of getting Kenneth Cranham again? I'd spill the blood of the younglings to get his sig!

  15. The man is indeed a true legend and I still can't belive I will get to meet him once again. I met him back in 2005 when he was over with Greg Nicotero to promote 'Land Of The Dead' and was doing a signing at the Cinema Store. So, there I was with a mate right there two hours before the signing, pumped full of espresso's and choco coffee beans (not a good combination!) and by thime time I got to the door I was hyperventilating I was that nervous about meeting him.....so much in fact that when I got to the table........I had forgotten my name. Yes people, yours truly had managed to freak him out by not knowing who I was that he didn't know where to look! Thankfully due to my mate giving me a nudge and a reminder, he did sign my VHS copy of 'Day Of The Dead' and a poster for LOTD made out to my best mate Chris (it was his birthday that day)....Greg even drew a zombie eating birthday cake on it for him!!! Both guys were really relaxed and oh so cool...... I know I freaked out and I promise not to do it this time round but who can not be forgiven for freaking out when in the presence of a true movie master. We are really lucky to get him! (sorry about the size of the pic btw!)
  16. I think the reason for doing this is something to do with licensing I think though I may be wrong.... It's certainly nothing new for US shows released in the UK to be split in to two part box sets, LOST & CSI to name two shows (afetr S1 of CSI: Vegas I stopped buying R2 and went R1) I'm wondering how much the R1 box set is going to be if it's on sale at the Con. Playusa have it for £34.99 delivered but I was in the Cinema Store on Wednesday (who are norotiously expensive!) and they had it for a pound or two shy of £60.00!!! If you're a fan of a USTV show and it's gets a UK DVD release, it makes more sense to splash out on the R1 if you have the ability to play them (hardly any UK DVD players don't have R1 playability now anyways). I guess the only other reason they get split into two box sets is purely to make more cash from those jumping the gun and being a little eager.
  17. Right, here we go: 1. Spoke to TWO guys at FP who catagorically told me that NOTHING has been arranged with FP in mind. One of the guys did in fact state that he had heard loads of people in the store ask about it and that they had said that the whole thing had been a total shambles! 2. HMV in general are doing nothing also. That is fact. 3. Having read all the post so far for today, I think I'm gonna give it a miss. I have two mobile numbers from people so I'm going to see how things go tomorrow and then finally decide then give them a bell. I fear I may not be going however. Nadgers. Ok, so we still have tomorrow to go but I believe we can all say this: this 'event' has been handled with a startling lack of compentancy and consideration for us fans. A perfect opportunity wasted. Still, got to meet William Gibson today so it's not all bad!
  18. TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO MEET UP FRIDAY! Email me at londoncalling3@hotmail.com and let me know if you're up for the stalk-a-thon (Studios then the Eye). Meet@10am at the Terence Cuneo statue on the Waterloo station concourse (Ask if you can't find it!) Like this: Those who want to meet at the eye only, see you all at 12:30 by the ticket office steps?
  19. I think we have all come to the dissapointing realisation that there is, in fact, no official signing event in London for the World Tour. From what I've read on here, the whole set-up seems to be nothing more than a press and fan photo op, which is great to get some candid snaps and possibly autos but it seems like nothing else was ever planned from the start, and that's what's dissapointing. Ok, so Hayden & Jack are at LFCC. That's great. But what about those fans who can't make the con but could make Thursday or Friday. Plus the fact that FOUR cast members will be present, it's a massive (additional) publicity opportunity missed I reckon. Still going to give FP a final try but if you're reading this, then you can guess I don't hold out much hope. Shame.
  20. Hey chum no trouble! I'm there so might as well kill two birds..... I willing to do only so much....as long as I'm still a man at the end
  21. Like I said yesterday, I'm at FP tomorrow for a signing. I'll ask them and post the response around 7pm-ish. Sorry I can't make this any earlier!!
  22. I'll be at that statue On Waterloo concourse around 10am. That gives enough time to head dow to London Studios and stalk. I'll have either a green army-style napsack with an Iron Maiden patch on it or a grey burtons shoulder bag (or "man bag" if you will.... ). Oh, and I wear glasses but it catagoricaly DOES NOT MEAN I look like Potter!
  23. To 'Mr Bennett' and others wanting to meet up on Friday for the Stalk-a-thon, I'm still game! I can be found on londoncalling3@hotmail.com or www.myspace.com/suspiciouspreacher. Drop me line or post on here any finalised plans for meeting up Friday. I did call the Cinema Store and by the time I got the chance (about half two) I was not popular! It went a little like this: ME: "Hi! I was told to call back today to see if you had plans for a 'HEROES' signing as part of the World Tour event organised by NBC?" CS: "Hold on" (passes phone) CS: "Yep" (Repeated what I had said) CS: "So you are asking about the DVD?" ( ) ME: "Ummm, no. I was wondering if you had any signings planned as part of the 'HEROES' World Tour Event this Thursday and Friday" CS: "Two of 'em are at the convention this weekend" ME: "Ummm... Yes, I know" CS: "Well We're not doing anything. Try the website" ME: " I have but there is nothing on there" CS: "All I can tell you is to try the website (huffs)" ME "Ok. Thanks."
