I was at the recording on the 16th December. I'm not sure who the director was, but he's neither Ed Bye nor Doug Naylor.

where would you like a new big signing event to be ?

You can't have a Collectormania in Wales - there aren't enough "L"s in it !!! -
How can anyone answer that based on attending today unless they visit a paralel universe where Buzz did attend ??

Following a discussion I had at the weekend - how many people still use VHS ? Every stand at the car boot sale had them, and couldn't GIVE them away. Surely if you had a working player, you would pick up stuff that isn't out or you wouldn't buy on DVD or Blu-ray for pennies, watch them once and bin them ? Anyway - just curious who still uses the format ....

Auto, auto, auto. I detest the sterile look of an organised photoshoot - I prefer a casual looking pic (and not one of those awkward "leaning over the table" types either - even more tacky). It should look candid and spontaneous, and not scream "Joe Public meeting celebrity". Also, I don't need a photo to "prove" I met a guest. I'm not meeting them for someone else's benefit - I'm meeting them because I'm a fan of them and/or something they have been in. But the main reason it has to be autos is because there is nothing cooler than multi-signed items. A nice movie / trilogy / franchise poster with 30 or 40 signatures on it, all in the same colour of ink. Fantastic !

They are done manually and as soon as possible, so there is no hard & fast rule, sorry. Although there are quite a few threads in this section already having this question answered ....

Well ... no ! We're not judging the show - we know SM can do shows. We are judging the choice of venue and it's accessability. Especially by public transport, and especially very early in the morning when people will want to get there to start to queue.

do we know which days Kenneth Cope will be attending yet?

When it's known. Sorry to be vague, but that's the best anyone can say for now .... -

Shame - all the Wembly Arenas and O2s that could replace EC, and we get stranded at another sterile, souless "shopping mecca" miles from anywhere, with "all your favourite brands" and not an independent retailer or eaterie within an hour's bus journey. I hope SM will put on buses like they have to other venues, or how will those relying on public transport get there for 3am to queue for Matt Smith and Harrison Ford ?

I wonder if this is a replacement for EMS or MK, or if it's another new event ....

Bit annoyed that Return To Middle Earth will now include another franchise that I haven't seen and don't care about, so I'm curious what people think. I know sometimes it's financially necessary to combine fanbases, but I'd rather either go to LFCC with a bit of everything, or The Hub, with TW and only TW. A weekend con covering more than one fanbase surely means that neither gets given 100% ? Historically, split cons don't work. Abrahams Inc, the Being Human one ....

Normal rules are five per person, per queuing. You can re-queue if you want more, but obviously there is no guarantee you will get to the front again ...

It was here earlier ....
