Shame you weren't in Burbank last November. I was working in the dealers room and saw Brian Henson skulking around whilst one of the guest talks was on (everyone was in the hall so i don't think many people saw him) Ricky was a guest all weekend and David made a surprise appearance on the last day (i think most people thought that Ben was coming along but i don't think they were too disappointed with David) He was so great in the autograph session. He would phone up the actors in Australia so that they could talk to people that were dressed up as their characters in the autograph queue!!! It was surreal and made an unforgettable experience for those few that dressed up. I think with all that going on it actually took some of the focus off a certain actress who was a bit the worse for wear. I didn't think she was going to make it to the end of the session.... She was frelled!! Ooooh that means that possibly Brian may come in and do some lurkin this year.. Gosh I hope so because I'm going ot Burbank in November! And the actress..I'm guessing you meant Gigi who was very very unwell at the con from what I heard.. And lol that sounds *so* like Ricky! lol I really can't wait to meet him! Thanks for that info!

Showtime actually made the show so Sky one didn't have any more eps to show sadly apart from Series one... If someone else though is looking to bring it back to our screens by making Series 2 I'd be over the moon as it was such a fab series! Sony Pictures made Odyssey 5 and Showtime were airing it. Sony have approached The Sci Fi Channel to pick up the show. but this was at the beginning of the year. Here is a quote from Odyssey 5 producer Alan Brennert: "Alas, Showtime canceled ODYSSEY this week--despite our being their highest-rated original series! Apparently the powers-that-be want to get out of doing sf (they picked up JEREMIAH, as I understand it, because it's part a longstanding deal with MGM). Sony/Columbia has approached the Sci-Fi Channel about picking it up but we won't know anything until January. For now it's just a lump of coal in our Christmas stockings." Don't bet on Sci fi picking up Odyssey 5.. they cancelled Farscape and are currently "reimaging" (read remake with no connection to the predecessor..)Battlestar galactica to such a degree that their star James Olmos told fans of the original series not to watch it.. Plus JMS(Babylon 5 and Jeremiah) pitched a new show to sci fi.. and was told by them it had too many space ships in it and was too science fictiony.. his response was "huh?!?" They've recently ditched several new shows which were slated to replace Farscape like Dream team and Tremors.. Apparently the sci fi channel aren't about science fiction any more.. but about imagination.. this according to their reps at Comic con a few weeks back.. Now don't know about you but sci fi channel kinda implies ..and stop me if I'm wrong.. sci fi.. strange concept I know! some tv execs are clearly not on this planet... PS I knew showtime didn't make it as such.. but showtime pulled the plug... that's what I meant.

Couldn't resist though saying a huge hugs and thank you to Showmasters for being so kind to us Farscape starved peeps in the UK and bringing over a Farscape guest and also for inflicting them on those who haven't been bitten by the Farscape bug yet.. Though to be honest I'd love it if Showmasters inflicted this guy on us.. One can live in hope..

Just one *small* problem with that.. you have to be on set to operate Rygels chops.. and Jonathan isn't on set as far as I know. He said at Comic con this year a few weeks back that although he loves voicing Rygel he laments the fact that he's not on set to counter all the new nicknames Ben makes up for Rygel on the spur of the moment. The puppeteers say the lines on set and then Jonathan over dubs. The change from season 1 to S2 was that in S1 there was an English guy John Eccleston I think , who voiced and puppeteered Rygel on set-to be over dubbed by Jonathan later- (and he was very very funny this guy and was in alot of outtakes..) but he left after S1 to come back to the UK so the rest of the pups took over.. So I wonder if that change somehow got the bbc confused with the two "John's" and with who was doing what maybe? Like the IMDB sometimes even the BBC get it wrong.. Check out www.Farscapeworld.com and their databank for who does what. :) It's a huge database of all the cast and crew and characters on the show.

EEEeeep Robocop but even more impressively Odyssey 5 are awesome productions!! Peter Weller's portrayal of Chuck Taggart was wonderful... So upset Showtime decided to cancel it.. Will be definitely looking forward to meeting him too!

Hi Andrea! :) Yes I'm afraid the IMDB(which is not really always reliable -because anyone can submit info. I know cause I did! ) is wrong in this instance.. Both Lani and Jonathan voice the two animatronic characters of Pilot and Rygel respectively. :) The pups I mentioned above are the poor sods who spend their time on their knees having their hands and feet stepped on by the cast.. Despite the physical adversity they do a fantastic job.. Jonathan's efforts are purely confined to the Additional Dialogue Recording suite. :) He's the only one of the cast who is-whereas Lani does appear as Crais on the show as well as voicing Pilot. Oh also forgot.. Jonathan did appear once on the show itself as Kahaynu-one of the great builders race or something, in a fetching white toga.. but he definitely didn't have a puppet.. Morning peeps! Just a little more info to pass along about Jonathan and Farscape if I may.. :) Firstly a Farscape "Did you know?" that the special effects team from Farscape are dong the special effects for the latest Star Wars movie being filmed and that Dave Elsey the head of the Creature shop was also head hunted for the previous movie but turned down the offer to stay working on Farscape. To see who he is and what these very talented folk produce special effects wise please check out http://www.imagecreative.net/ The lady on the splash screen is Natira. She's one of the guest stars in Farscape.. (Also I have a feeling Animal logic peeps-another company in Oz- are also working on the CGI for the movie aswell..again they produced Farscape's CGI... ) Please check out their portfolio page to see what sort of cool stuff they have done and messed around with. May give you and idea of the nuts stuff that may end up on the next Star wars movie... These guys are sick puppies.. but we love em Secondly Rygel and Pilot are puppetteered by Mario, Tim, Fiona, Veronica and Matt (affectionately known as the pups) A pic of most of the pups-AKA Team Rygel Finally this is Jonathan-the Voice of Rygel (Who I think would probably be friends with Dobby but if Dobby had any sweets he might nick em off him... As for Gollum.. well Rygels fave pastime aside from eating is decorating his quarters with the heads of his enemies on a stick-so there may be a bit of a scrap! . We believe he is currently looking at starting a "head on a stick" fast food franchise at some point to combine both his loves..... ) (Left to right-Ricky Manning-Exec producer and insane writer from Farscape,Ben Browder (also insane but in a cute way.. Sorry Ben.. heheh but you are ) and on the right Rygel... er I mean Jonathan.. We suspect Jonathan's eyebrows were the inspiration for Rygels own impresive set! ) Hope this helps a litle bit more! :)

hello there... i'm houdinia.. please call me houdy... welcome to the boards Thanks Houdinia! Just a quick bit about me.. .. I am a huge LOTR's fan (so really pleased about the Hobbits and Andy S) also love Odyssey 5 so Peter Weller is someone I'm looking forward to meeting. But my fave show is Farscape (I run a website www.BenBrowder.co.uk ) and Jonathan is like alot of the cast from the show-very accessable online and posts on mailing lists and the like. Which is why I am sooo looking forward to seeing him in person. :) So very pleased for ya mate its good when all people are Catered for and again appologies for earlier jus the heat getting to me we are a great bunch of people really me included LOL LilElfGirlxx No worries and thanks!
