Not sure, but to be honest, if it's in the NEC, taxi costs are pretty cheap from one hotel to another. I stayed in the Holiday Inn before [where I'm planning to stay for ET4] and got taxi's each day to the NEC, and they were like, cheap from what I remember :)

I would definitely be up for this if you guys wouldn't mind a random Irish stranger joining the group Never camped out for a premiere before. Think the longest I ever spent waiting for one at Leicester Square was 3-4 hours at the last HP one, and even then I gave up because I was miserable wet, and just out of work and - uck. Wish I'd stayed now though! That o2 thing sounds interesting.. maybe time to buy a new SIM card

I'm contemplating it; haven't fully decided yet!

you can pick up Bella's birthday party dress online though, for around $40 [hot topic, nordstrom, orr there's one other company that stocks it whose name escapes me currently] I tried one on when I was in Florida in Feb - would have taken it except it was two sizes too big for me but that, combined with her blueywhite shoes, you'd be perfect! :) It seems I may be cosplaying Felix - because I'm tall in comparasion to most people around me LOL, though he'd be a bit boring really - grey jacket, black trousers, black shirt, red eyes. Hmm. May need to try to plan a second outfit too.. something a bit more interesting, and female! Emily would be cool to do, with the scars....

Oh I would love an NCIS convention Abby [not sure of her real name] is one of the most amazing female actresses; I absolutely love her, and how she brings her character across
-
Didn't read through all of this so could be repeating some names! - Todd Lasance [home & away; tv] - Paul Walker [fast & the furious] - Vin Diesel [fast & the furious] - Freddie Prinze Jr [movies] - Ben Affleck [Armaggeddon] - Ryan Gosling - Katie Holmes [Dawsons Creek] - James Van Der Beck [Dawsons Creek] have absolutely loads more on my mind, actually going to go read the thread before I add them :)
-
I've seen someone put up a Neighbours thread, personally I'd love to see some of the bigger H&A stars at an SM event like - Ray Meagher [Alf Stewart] - Lynn McGranger [irene Roberts] - Lyn Collingwood [Colleen Smart] - Todd Lasance [Aden Jeffries] - Kate Ritchie [sally] etc. Some are also over in America now, doing movies such as Sharni Visnon [Cassie], Chris Hemsworth, Paul O'Brien [Jack] & I believe Mark Furze [Ric] recently moved there. a H&A appearance would totally have me [and surely other fans?] in attendance!

that would be totally awesome

Cork, how about you? :) And thanks, naurarwen_fangorn for the detailed reply. I feel like such a newb at all this

Sounds great; I'll be flying in from Ireland on the Friday, but planning to try and get in early t oget set up. bit nervous about going to the Con alone
-
May be a stupid question - I'm not entirely sure what a cosplay is but from what I've gathered, it's dressing up as a specific character, perhaps at a specific time? Just pottered onto this thread; think being a vamp could be interesting, even though I'm pure team werewolf Would have to go as Felix, possibly... I'm 6ft 2. Not quite as tall as the real Felix though
-
I'm the same as you Cherie; somewhat. This will be my first Con, and I'm 24, from Ireland. Haven't officially booked my tickets yet, planning to do it in on Sunday if I can get the money in order by then.. only decdied tonight to try to bite the bullet and go - even though I know my folks/sisters will be like.. oh come on now, the addiction can only go so far :/ Glad to know people are friendly too! I'm a bit shy, at going up to people and asking to hang around with them, so the thought of going to a con alone is a bit scary

Total Wolf girl here xD Think my favourites in both actors & books would have to be Alex, & Taylor - and I'm loving the look of Booboo - i think he's going to be awesome, he's so adorable! :)

Thank you! :) I didn't realise how big these events were - in fan size range I meant, not like in big halls They all sound awesome

Am brand new member to this forum :) Never been to a Con before, but a mate on a SIM game convinced me tonight to think seriously about going to ET4.. and I'll admit I'm seriously tempted From south-east Ireland, so looking up flights and all that craic. Glad to see though there are people around my age [24] was a bit worried it'd be a teengirl fest.

are those contacts safe to wear, for all people? I have had laser surgery done a couple years ago; wanted to be a new born vamp last halloween, but folks advised it may be dodgy using coloured contacts. Hmm maybe time to contact an eye man. Volturi Ball sounds fun

I haven't attended one of these cons before [ET4 will hopefully be my first!!] so I'm not sure if there's a bonus for getting low number ticket or just a personal satisfaction - but whatever - bigger guest sounds good, and i'm glad to read that the prices are moreorless the same. paying for Et4 is currently a balance sheet job for me [working out finances atm!] so an increase, while im unemployed, wouldn't be welcome at all Booking almost a year in advance? Not sure if I could count on life to be the same, to do that though!

May be a stupid question - is it possible to stay in one of the other hotels around the NEC but still have access to the Con & its events, with tickets? I'm assuming so but thought I should check. Went to Crufts at NEC a few years ago, and stayed in the Holiday Inn, or whatever it's called - much cheaper, but still near enough etc. A confirmation would be great :)
