I use Edding 751 Silver, Black and Blue and I find them the best....been collecting LOTR peeps for years and all my autos are with the trusted eddings. Never tried UniPosca but as you can see a lot of people like them also. I think once your happy you tend to stick to what you know and love. You need to leave the ink to dry for ages but the results are fab Sean Astin was so impressed i left them with him :)

Can't wait, Gold ticket still here Billy Boyd OMG!!!! Its going to be great!! Get buying tickets people -
I've still got my Gold ticket CaspianX but like you getting a bit "that way" on the no news front Trying to remain patient as I have had mega showmasters memories with LOTR peeps but 3 months to go and no update at all for ages is commercially not good enough to its customers who have paid good money for the event.

Latest Guest Announcement - SALA BAKER
a simpson replied to showmasters's topic in Entertainment Media Show
It's probably because he is appearing in Germany in a few weeks time and can kill two birds with one stone so to speak Making his very long awaited return to the UK with EMS makes sense to me and I for one am very happy. I am also a gold ticket holder at RTME, who knows what will will happen there, but Sala makes a fantastic addition for all us LOTR fans at EMS. He is now the only reason I am going -

HUGE Guest Announcement Tonight at 7pm
a simpson replied to showmasters's topic in Entertainment Media Show
Either Christopher Lee or Ian Holm (as photoshoots limited) reading into that clue!! Both are HUGE Stars! -
would you pay this amount to meet these people ?
a simpson replied to showmasters's topic in General chat
Voted for Ian Holm and Christopher Lee. Met both, but the opportunity for a photoshoot would be amazing. Would like staggered autograph prices for personalisation and this is a must for me also. Assuming no dedications - taking a punt here, but will probably be in force So £45 for Sir Ian Holm or £50-£55 for personalisation (for example) So, you cater for those who are not bothered and those who are passionate about personalisations No problem in paying the rates for any LOTR peeps. -
Film guests for this event
a simpson replied to showmasters's topic in Memorabilia Expo at Milton Keynes
Billy Boyd or Bernard Hill would be great! -
so is there any classic UK TV & Film guest you want to meet ?
a simpson replied to showmasters's topic in Autographica 17
Sir Ian Holm CBE mega CV and would be a huge hit -
Hello Issac I have a Gold ticket and only go to Showmasters events if they have a LOTR guest which basically was from day 1 [same as naurarwen_ fangorn] but only seem to go now for the annual JRD appearance. Been soooooooooo waiting for this as with the Hobbit starting filming next month I hope Showmasters will start to wheel old friends out, back to the great crazy days. I have about 300 LOTR autographs and they include a lot of International trips as well.... I have been reading LOTR since i was a teenager and will be coming from Preston. See u there

Reservations told me that you pay the deposit which i did for 2 nights £20 and they decided that on "this" one the balance is paid on arrival. I was very very specific and must have asked her 3 times is she sure that the balance is on arrival and she said yes. After the 3rd time i think she got a little pxxxxx with me for reiterating the question!!! I don't know whether David wants to check with Mark or Jason but I can only go off what I was told! I have asked for my deposit and reservation number to be emailed which i have not received yet, will chase up tomorrow and update what the reservation says, unless someone has a confirmation email booking????? Sorry booked over the phone.....

now we are going to work on some first timer guests
a simpson replied to showmasters's topic in Return to Middle Earth
I hope it is Karl Urban, Sean Bean would be my perfect choice, [Karl very close second] I would also welcome Sarah McLeod but it maybe her character is not big enough now Jed and Sala have been announced. Marton Csokas would also be a great great first timer............ I REALLY would love Bruce Hopkins as I feel it he would become an absolute ME legend after this convention, but not a first timer sadly. Still guessing, the suspense is killing me on who the next guest will be -
I have just bbooked my room deposit taken balance to pay on arrival

Happy New Year to all of the Ringers!

Who would have thought a LOTR Con in 2011 As abstractharmony has said I echo a Happy New Year to all Ringers -
The picture of Billy, Dom & Elijah outside the church just gives you that lovely warm feeling

we have had some guest contact us to attend all ready
a simpson replied to showmasters's topic in Return to Middle Earth
Well I've booked on the basis that I am supporting Jason get the guests in by booking early. Appreciate it is a catch 22 for a lot of people but this is going to be an amazing weekend and I would urge if you can afford it... book I do agree a hobbit would have to attend (I would like Sean to come across personally) UK based.......Bernard Hill (unlikely but what a coop that would be), Billy Boyd, Sean Bean (my number one choice by a country mile) Any Serkis (will be busy eleswhere ), Christopher Lee (unlikely), Ian Holm (unlikely), Ian McKellen (very unlikely and will be busy eleswhere ) Orlando Bloom (Part UK and unlikely) so it will be planes, trains and automobiles as most guests will be either from USA or NZ which really ups the cost. If Bernard Hill, Billy Boyd or Sean Bean, just one of those confirming (no travel fee only appearance) this would help the cause and no doubt start a stampead for tickets Personally I think JRD is an amazing first guest, we see him every year (bar this one, Jason ) and he is larger than life, the ideal person to be at a two day LOTR Con, and personally this would have made me buy a ticket anyhow if I had not bought my gold one already.... -
here is the place to put the latest news on the Hobbit
a simpson replied to showmasters's topic in Return to Middle Earth
I think the chances of anyone else playing Gandalf would be beyond belief. He has said on record it is and always will be the greatest role of his life. Sir Ian would never let anyone else place Gandalf. Probably just part of contract negotiations. There is nothing on his website to suggest he will do only half a film, as David said imdb not reliable
