Does anyone know of any shops or websites that do personalised lanyards? I want to get one with my name on and also one that says "Birthday girl" (or something similar) as a pressie for a friend. I did a search and found a few websites that do them but only in bulk and I only want one of each. Ta.

Seriously, it was at a rival event so I can't say any more than that.

It is a great idea but unlikely to happen. Group photoshoots are rare at Collectormania events, especially when the relevant guests are all doing individual ones. You're more likely (but not guaranteed) to get them at the hotel-based conventions like Warp 10.

I did ask Chloe if that was the case but she said that filming isn't due to start until quite a while after the official event was supposed to take place.

This year's official event has been cancelled as well, don't know why.

I don't know what the production company's problem is apart from being total killjoys. Danny and Chloe were sorry and shocked to hear that the event had been cancelled (and why!), not least because they had such a good time last year. Apparently, all the guests who attended got an e-mail shortly afterwards saying that the production company would prefer them not to do any more unofficial events. Probably not surprisingly, no one took any notice. Anyway, on to slightly brighter things (I hope). Filming of the new series of Red Dwarf starts in October and should be on TV next spring so we have that to look forward to. Just hope it's better than series 8 ..........

I saw Steve Wickham who played the Gelf Bride in Red Dwarf today and he said he would really, really like to come to Milton Keynes. He said that he'd had a great time at BTL last year and would love the opportunity to see some of the show's fans again. So how about it? Anyone else want to see him there? He's a really nice friendly chap and he has a new sci-fi series starting on TV in the autumn so now would be a good time to get him, before he gets too busy.

I saw Chloe today and she said she would love to come to MK, especially now that BTL2 has been cancelled.

Yay, it's my birthday that weekend! Might just have to treat myself to a trip to Bonnie Braehead.
