  1. and there goes the only saving grace this event had!! got to say it looks soo bad, I was thinking earlier, if the whole show was free autographs who would i bother with, and the answer was still NOBODY! good luck SM, we are all different after all, bt i reckon it could be a struggle...
  2. Gary was at the last event, and from what i saw, sat there quietly all day... i doubt he'll be back, as nobody supported him last time.
  3. same here too - everyone was very polite and helpful and all the guests (the ones i met) were friendly and chatty. I was in early on saturday, and left about 10.30 and it was very quiet the whole time. Just walked up for all 4 of the autos i wanted, with nobody behind me - great for me as it meant i could get a bit of a chat from the guests. Hope it got bussier later on and today?? i think its a good 'off shoot' to do and is worth continuing. PS - i lost a tenner somewhere between paying for jack charlton and walking away with me signature - anyone got it???!
  4. just add john, paul n steve and this event will be starting to look interesting
  5. voted 'no' i know they wont let us down with bobby charlton!
  6. take it there has been no movement on adding bobby then? would have been a nice touch to get him there after the sad passing of alan ball. the remaining 9 reunited. still hoping.
  7. if they can just get BOTH charltons and have all the remaining 10 england 66 squad, i am there. would hope bobby could be a posibility tho. I know people keep saying that as he is a director at man u he cant always get to signing sessions, but as this is during the close season, and man u will efectively be on summer hols, surely there must be a chance? heres hopin
  8. its shaping up well - if they can just get BOTH charltons and have all the remaining 10 england 66 squad, i am there. would hope bobby could be a posibility tho. 9. Ah but you have to realise Lee, this is an unprecedented move - a joke about a dead person. That's why people are so offended. It's never been done before! ... no, wait, I lie. It has been done, in much more offensive and distasteful ways so if your mum dies and I have a good laugh and joke this time next year I hope you understand and see the funny side of it...................... Then again, John Candy is more likely to turn up than Christopher Lee and Richard Dreyfuss were ever going to at LFCC. rich5 - dont ever let ANYONE try to bully\put you off posting. YOU are the main reason i keep checkin out the board!! Laff my ass off at your comments and a few home truths to boot too at times. keep it reeeeeel my friend. am just hoping the whole lineup for CM11 is an april fool!!!
  10. I'm with you guys - get Bobby AND I AM THERE!! simple as that.
  11. Too tall.... thanks. To be fair, i feel my original post WAS a direct reponse to a guest suggestion. All I was saying is that i would boycot the event IF SM paid money to hire certain people, and i think others would too - I'm not suggesting for one minute that SM would entertain booking her anyway, BUT, I would imagine this is something SM would be pleased to see aired BEFORE they make any bookings. Agree others have taken my 'in context' comment and have (yet again) tried to fuel the fire. Some people seem unable to have an adult convesation without taking sides. I've made my point, and will respond no more to blikered ones. Terry well my wife is Asian, so i am (sadly) able to speak with some first hand knowledge of racism. You didnt answer my question... Is Shilpa a racist for taking the **** out of Jo's accent? I didn't answer your question becasue you didn't ASK it. What am i psychic now?! Check out your previous posts. An the answer is No it isn't. Actually yes i did, try looking properly! So its ok for an Asian person to take the **** out of someones accent but not ok for a white person? correct. i am no longer taking part inthis debate.

  14. didn't realise we had a expert in racism on the board! I stand corrected then...
  15. mmmm, well continually mimicing shilpas accent in a p*ss taking way and adding "bud bud" for extra effect is racist in my book. Booking Jo would be a megga own-goal for SM. No matter who else was on the bill, I'd STAY AWAY in protest if SM paid her money to attend, and i think (at least i hope) a lot of other decent people would do too. Jade Goody for CM11 anyone???!
  16. hey, didnt know you guys were into blood sport!!! you just wanna watch poor ol Jo get grief all day whilst nobosy asks her to sign!!! dispicable!
  17. gee i wish you would READ my messages, rather than comment on what you THINK they say David. No, it doesn't mean i compare them - nowhere did i say that either. I am not interested in PD or WS (it's allowed) and the DP comment was merely a comment on some of the lazy choices that SOMETIMES seem to be brought on board as 'fillers' at events... people who will have an open queue from kick off. I LOVE SM events, well i certainly used to.. i just think they aint been as good\diverse as perhaps they once were. but hey thats fine. its no skin of my nose nor SMs nose... one moaney old bloke doesn't turn up and spend his hard earned - i think they will survive, especially if they are bringing in plenty for the easy money. good luck, its a business... just one that is becoming of less n less interest to me. Its what i think, so why can i not say it? SM are grownups they can take constructive criticism, honest. There are other similar events, not run by SM (i cant say what\who\where for obvious reasons), where the approach is completely different. The line ups are so random thst there is always quality guests (the quality bit is important) no matter who you are and what your likes are (and yes i DO go to them too). I defy anyone to not get excited at the line ups they produce. Maybe SM are a victim of their own success? The 'other' shows mostly just do 1 show (2 at a push) a year. SM run so many now that maybe they struggle to get new guests, and make events different from the last.
  18. oh well, at least i guessed one person right!!! LOL!!!
  19. if you'd read my message you would see i said its all about personal taste - it obvious that any guests i would like (my idea of "GOOD") will be "rubbish" to others... just like i think this current line up is so far. I am allowed to have an opinion. i have offered sugestions on previous messages (none taken up thus far of course!) - feel free to check out my previous posts to see what "rubbish" i requested. Oh and of corse there are exceptions, not EVERY SINGLE person in their teens or twenties is gonna be mad on buffy\angel\bladdie blah... its a generalisation... gee, get a grip!!! Do me a straw poll on the age group of the fan base for these programmes, it's going to come up 70/80% in that age group. i've yet to see an older person at an event with a tshirt showing these programmes.... (waits for obvious inevitable response "i am 43, and at collectormania 8 i wore.....") oh and as for the big announcements of Peter Davison and William Sanderson... not really the big names i was looking for.... just waiting for the Dave Prowse announcement.....
  20. thanks for the latest announcements SM... can we have some GOOD guests now please??! Quite frankly I wouldn't walk to the end of my garden to meet ANY of those announced so far, let alone the 300 mile trip that I do twice a year to milton keynes. As i've said before, each to his\her own, there will obviously be people lovin this line up, but to me it is completely one dimensional.... think outside the box a bit SM... some of us arn't teenagers\in our twenties!
  21. we have a long way to go, so am not worrying TOO much at the mo, but so far (for me) this is the lamest line up i've seen to date. It's very one dimentional. yet i totally know that to many, its going to be a cracking line up - I'd imagine theres a good chance that if you like one of the guests, you'll like a lot of the guests. Absolutly nowt for the older collector like myself. This line so far is for the teens to twenties market. I know a lot of people like buffy & the such like & good luck to you, but do we need em at every event? Diversity to SM seems to be adding Angel guests as well as Buffy!!! some OLD PEOPLE please SM!!! Batman guests (Julie Newmar was never re-booked as promised, Burt Ward, there are loads of vilains still around), Different Bond girls, 60's & 70's TV shows (Lee Majors was never re-booked as promised), how about some 70's & 80's superhero tv reunions? awaiting the next buffy announcement as i type..... (!) TF
  22. i'd be up for trish (f'nar f'nar!) but would love the chance to meet Chyna - still a legend, but not too busy lately, sure she's be pretty easy to get along. Anyone else up for chyna??
