  1. Yes I was also disappointed to have to have my auto personalised as I never have my name on them, only to see on twitter someone posting their auto unpersonalised. Why?

  3. I have a date with Collectormania 19 ............ And I don't wanna be late!
  4. Half done, month has been changed to May but it still shows Sunday not Monday!!
  5. Just had a shock when I saw the following on the home page: LATEST NEWS Collectormania 19 Saturday 25th - Sunday 27th JUNE 2013 Could someone please change JUNE to MAY ? !! Thanks Sorry if this has already been spotted.
  6. Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson to finish off my Young Ones picture I started at CM17
  7. I tried to book the same hotel we were in for next year, before we left today but their systems did not go up to June 2012 yet. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!
  8. I never get mine personalised as to be honest... eventually (ie many many years in the future) they will either be sold or passed down to my boy who is looking like he is going to be a Star Wars fan at least. In either case, having my name on them will not benefit anyone other than myself or someone with the same (uncommon) name as me.
  9. It seems David Blue liked the bizarre quotes, I got a "To Infinity and Beyond" like someone else previously posted. As I was in Alex's queue quite early I was lucky to get a "Hello Sweetie" and "Spoilers!" on my two pictures. Robert Patrick put "The T-1000" "Willie" from Robert Englund (V fans!) A heart from Chase Masterson "Sontar - ha" from Christopher Ryan
  10. I saw about 15 guests and Chase was easily the best and most memorable. I asked if I could have a photo with her and she came bounding round the table and hugged me and told me to hug her!! (she didn't have to say it twice!) while the assistant rolled off about 3 pics of us hugging on my camera. Lovely guest.
  11. Someone mentioned very early on in this thread that they use Ultra pages (with a hologram). I use these too and have done since CM1 (2001 ish?) and have auto's signed in various pens (gold, silver and one even in pink pen!). I have had absolutely no problem with these pages at all. I also use them for my trading cards (the 9 pocket pages version). Oh by the way, the best place to get them is at Collectormania!
  12. No, sorry. Forgot to mention that I have read the FAQ but it does not mention anything about attaching pics from a PC, therefore I guess it can not be done (not up to all this new fangled uploading to website marlarky, however you do it!) please just give me an Attach Button!
  13. Hi, How do you attach pictures to a post? I have some on my PC but when I click "Insert Image" it is asking for a URL. Sorry if this has come up before. (I do have a smiley Georgia pic at her table). I was hoping to get a pic of Sir Patrick Stewart at the event as I always document each autograph I get with a time/date and pic if available. As no pictures were allowed to be taken of him, do I have anyones permission to copy theirs? As I say this is not for profit, just personal use. I know I could just copy one from the forum but I am not that type of person, and would prefer to have permission first. Also the same for a Michelle Forbes pic? Thanks.
  14. QS, we discussed the giving out of VTs to the queue at the door in another thread didn't we? Hopefully this can be arranged for CM17 because this is one of my minor gripes. I just can not believe the cheek of people though, like the chap in a grey top on Sat who left the LH queue to join the PS queue when he had got inside the stadium. The fact that the part of the queue I was in had been standing next to the stadium wall and were DRY and that he had been queuing in the rain and was slightly WET did not matter to him that he stuck out like a sore thumb and had blantantly pushed in. Sorry, but no SM people were about at that point to say anything to. If someone had been at the doors ensuring people in the left queue stayed left and not joined the other queue it may have stopped him. Anyway, I got to see everone I wanted to, so no harm done. Best wishes for CM17 next year. Only 11 months to go!
  15. MK is easy to get to with lots of hotels around. When you have a 3 year old with you, you can compromise with a trip to collectormania in the morning (must get there early though!) and then a trip somewhere else in the afternoon, maybe a safari or something? Like we did, everyone happy! If the event was in one of the usual larger cities a lot of people would not be able to attend for various reasons, but easy accessibility would be key for us as we come from Norfolk.
  16. As some of the guests did not want photos taken of them at the event (and this request was honoured by most people including myself) are there any official SM photos taken which we can download/have a copy of instead? I know that's why there were photoshoots but I could not afford the autorgraphs and photoshoots too! Thanks!
  17. Brilliant guest! Fourth time I've met him and he is always popular wherever he goes. Only had a quick chat as he was off to his photo shoot soon after.
  18. Yes its a pity people are getting annoyed about it. I plan to be there all four days so its just a case of seeing whoever, whenever they turn up. To be honest anyone could drop out at any time (for various reasons), so just enjoy the weekend and see whoever turns up!
  19. Maybe people would appreciate a daily update, maybe everyday at 7.00pm saying no news yet? It's not ideal, but then at least people would know that currently nothing has changed (which is what they should assume anyway, but you know some people like to see it in writing).
  20. Sooo glad I am not a sci-fi fan otherwise this event would cause me to run out of money extremely quickly. Then, I would also have to save up again for another event in October (Can't remember what the event's called though). Aarrgghh! Hang on, I am a sci-fi fan. Nooooooooooo! What am I going to do?? Any chance of buy 10 autos get one free SM?..................... Thought not! Seriously though SM, are you sure you have enough room for all these guests??? See ya soon.
  21. How much before 9? If you mean 8.50am then (assuming you want a VQT for Patrick Stewart) you will most likely be at the end of a very long queue. From the CM website it says the event starts at 9.00am on Sat. Showmasters are excellent at getting as many people as possible to see the guests they want to see. Unfortunately Saturday is going to be the busiest of the event, if you are only going for this day I would recommend you get there as early as possible. Maybe others could say what time they expect to get there? Myself, probably around 8.00am, earlier if possible. Rather than a dearer train ticket would it be cheaper to travel to MK late on the Friday and stay over, therefore giving you a good head start in the morning? I am travelling over 100 miles to be there on the Friday and staying over to get as much done as I can before the Saturday.
  22. ..... if the above is still a bad idea, then maybe we can go with Plan A, give the Partick Stewart VQT's as the queue enters the building. At least we do not have to battle with all the onlooking shoppers just standing in the way while we try to get to the other guests tables now.
  23. The idea of a separate Patrick queue with tickets being given out when the queue is let in makes perfect sense and I like that very much. I can see quite a few problems with this new suggestion though. That would mean whoever is first in line gets ticket 1 for everyone. That will ultimately lead in fans quite likely grabbing more tickets than they want 'to be safe'. Even with the idea being "just take the ones of people you want to see" I'm not sure with how many fans this will hold up in the end. Then the tickets are not used and someone behind them in the queue misses out because the VQ tickets have meanwhile run out. I've seen fans offering money for VQ tickets at events when those had ran out, so this system is quite open to possible abuse. Or maybe I am just too pessimistic sometimes. Yes I agree, I thought of the "possibe abuse" after I posted my comments. Oops. Ok, next idea is just having a separate queue for the main people who most people want to see (Patrick Stewart and Linda Hamilton) and having only their VT given out with this queue. Again, possible abuse with some people only wanting to see one and not the other but most people will want to see both. You could always do as you done with the Nimoy tickets, give them out to everyone but after a particular number ensure people know that they are not guaranteed to see the guest that day. Although if there are a lot of unused tickets then the higher numbers will come up quicker. Everyones happy! Maybe! I know that everbody will have their particular guests which are important to them but for CM16 the above are going to be the most popular arn't they? Please tell me if I am wrong. Be gentle!
