  1. Now that's generous and v exciting! Hope he's u for it.
  2. We had a great weekend, as ever. Autographs and photos were much better organised for the bigger guests and a big improvement on LFCC. Great guests. I was so busy I hardly had time to sit down, though some more chairs would have eased my tired legs! Earls Court 2 is much better for cafes and seating but it was nice to be here and not Olympia. A couple of things. One of the crew helping out with the photos was NOT wearing blue gloves and was handling the photos a lot. Can we have a standard policy about calling numbers/lining up for photo queues? I realise that for guests with low numbers of sales there's no point, but for the bigger guests some things worked better than others. I liked the (female) crew member who lined people up in 2 lines, by colour of ticket. That worked really well. Telling people to go away and come back in 10 mins didn't. If you went, you came back and had lost your place because the queue had moved more quickly than expected but if you stayed you were barracked by the crew member. There was plenty of space to line up. Overall, though, a terrific event. Can't wait for the next one and have already booked my hotel for next summer!
  3. Oh Lisa..I did the same thing! E-mailed them back and crossing fingers that it will be okay. Just a bit tired I think! Hope it'll be okay.
  4. I really liked the venue. There was much more space to move around and wider aisles so it didn't feel so crowded. The only problem was the lack of seating and cafe space though. David Tennant was much better organised than previous 'big' guests too. No hanging around until 6pm to get an autograph! A few small grumbles. The crew member on Armin Shimmerman's autograph line on Saturday was rude and uncooperative, which is not normally the case with your lovely crew. And, not the organisers fault, but the photo people made the end of the day more stressful than it need have been with some photoshoots very late. Having said that, I did end up with 2 David Tennant photos...the same, but one can now go proudly on my work desk. However, a great weekend and I'll be back again. Thanks everyone.

    Sanctuary Guests

Agreed. We have had a lot of SG-1 guests (which is great) but we definitely need some more SGA and SGU guests in future too. And as much as I love Sanctuary, and Robin is a great Sanctuary guest, I do find it a bit odd that he's attending a Stargate convention, to my knowledge he's never been in Stargate. I'm not trying to sound negative, he's a good guest, it's just not the ideal event for him as not all Stargate fans are Sanctuary fans. Anyway, I look forward to meeting him too How I feel. I really want these events to stay as Stargate if possible. That's what makes them special and different to the bigger cons like Comicon or EMS.
  6. Great guest...but (not to be a party pooper)...does this mean we're not having exclusively Stargate guests anymore? The last few have been very SG1 focussed and, as a SGA fan, I would like to see some more of the actors headlining Chevrons and I know a few SGU fans who feel the same way. I would hate for the event to move away from Stargate too much.
  7. I know!!! Can't wait. Photo ticket number 5 on sunday.
  8. Can't help hoping for Jason Momoa. I mean his best buddy is already going! But, I suppose he's now a bit big for the event.

    SGA guests?

The last 2 Chevrons have been very SG1 focussed. Love the guests, but any chance of some Atlantis actors????
  10. Can someone remind me if I can pay cash for autographs? I'm trying to avoid the big queues this time! Thanks.
  11. After reading this I've booked the IBIS again. It's a bit more expensive than usual (about £20). Didn't want to be without a room and at least I can cancel if the guests aren't worth coming up to London. I imagine it's going to be a bit crazy!!!
  12. Oh my! And this is the one evening I can't get to my computer again before 8pm. Curses and excitement all at the same time!
  13. Awesome. They were really interesting last year.
  14. It was a great event and there were so many fab guests. Saturday was crazy but we managed to get all we had planned to do, so no probs there. Photos were the big problems - a long tme coming back (I've had to ask for my Christopher LLoyd photo to be sent) and some of the earlier shoots on saturday seemed to have 'got lost' at first. Having said that, it was the best event ever. Now my feet have to recover.
  15. Peter Jurasik and Stephen Furst were really friendly, funny and a great double act. Meeting Derek Jacobi was a dream come true for me as I'm a theatre goer and an English teacher. He was lovely and really modest. And, Christopher Lloyd of course - got both pics with him, though I'm waiting for the one just from him from the organisers.
  16. That's brilliant news! I was hoping for a Peter Jurasik one to go with the Stephen Furst one and hubbie is busy collecting the women of Dr Who! Whoop! Whoop! Thanks Showmasters.
  17. Just not sure if I an afford Christopher Lambert. Oh well!
  18. Karen Gillan Derek Jacobi Walter Konieg Louise Jameson Mary Tamm Brent Spiner Christopher Lloyd Christopher Lambert Lysette Anthony Stephen Furst Camille Coduri Going to be very expensive...but am very excited :)
  19. Agreed. Well done Showmasters. Sooo excited!
  20. Super intrigued. And sad that someone else is spoiling things too. Can't wait to find out.
  21. Oh my!!!! And I thought my credit card had taken enough of a hit!! This is such a fab event. Well done, Jason!
