Its much more rewarding to make your dress- even if you just sew a little bit of frilly lace onto it. Have a got and be creative. ^-^ Thats my advice.

You don't have to be in character all the time. Lord knows I was princess serenity and acted nothing like a princess. Also I think you should specifiy which look you are going for because we dont want 20 Bellas turning up covered in feather or with their leg in a cast! So I am rosline- the general look. The top half is fine, you just need to put a long black skirt on ontop (I have one I wear for choir if you want to borrow it) and a black shawl and you would be in morning dress. Anything lacey you have lying about the house ie table cloth or curtain, just cut it into a pair of arm warmers and voila!

Not sure if there is a thread for this already and Im just an idiot but I want to do it too. COSPLAY- The art of dressing up in costume as a character and pretending to be them. Ive done afew in my time; Princess serenity, Neko school girl, Suzumyia Haruhi. So if anyone else wants to cosplay post your character you want to dib and if you have a preference to which day you are doing it on so those who dont care can pick the day most other people are doing it and we can have a giant group cosplay! With this dress- I have to get in it, sew myself in and when I need to get out of it, unpick the stitching. Buts its worth it if it makes me look good. Total cost of outfit- £0. Mums wedding dress which I cut up, long gloves left over from a cosplay and sisters white scarf. Also pearls in hair (not shown in pic) were hidden in jewellery box and shoes were for my prom (and ET prom).
