  1. I've wanted to meet Chloe for ages. Shes gorgeous. I REALLY hope I can make it
  2. I vote no. Most of the bigger guests are already busy all day signing autographs none stop and even then not everyone gets an autograph. I know a few people who didn't get an autograph from James Marsters at C7 and he signed all day. If he'd stopped to do a photo session then even less fans would've got an autograph
  3. I forgot to say, that while its good that celebrities personalize to try and cut down on the amount of their autographs sold on eBay theres alot of dealers who know how to remove personalizations so really it doesn't make any difference to them if the celebrity personalizes or not. What they will usually do is ask for the photo to be signed to a short name, Jon, Kim, Tom, Lyn...so theres less ink for them to remove I'm not on the dealers side over this, I think its wrong that they take time away from the real fans who want to meet that celebrity. Its worse when they wait outside of theatres for autographs because they don't care about the others that are there. As long as they get their autographs for selling then they're happy. But the really bad thing is that some dealers do go and meet the celebrity and get an autograph and photo taken with them/ of them and then they go home and copy the autograph onto a different photo and advertise it as "IN PERSON AUTOGRAPH. I MET AND GOT AN AUTOGRAPH. SEE PHOTO" and because theres a photo alot of people will bid thinking its real Also at Collectormania I saw one stall sell a PRE PRINT of Alyson Hannigan which you can get for FREE. And they sold it for £25. That made me so mad and I still regret that I didn't say something to the person on the stall and the girl who bought it I think if genuine fans would prefer an unpersonalised autograph thats fine. And at the end of the day dealers will find a way to make money whether the autograph was personalized or not Just for the record I want to say that I have no respect at all for dealers. After seeing the way they were when I met Alyson Hannigan, it made me sick
  4. Whenever its possible I prefer to have at least one autograph unpersonalized. I have no intention at all of selling any of my autographs but I just like to have one in my collection that isn't personalised. I have met Amber Benson twice and I have 6 items signed by her, 4 are personalised (Chance dvd and 3 photos) and 2 are unpersonalised (a photo and a Top Trumps card). The same goes for Alyson Hannigan, I have 4 autographs, 2 personalised and 2 unpersonalised. As I said before I have NO intention of selling any of my autographs its just that I do like to have one autograph from each guest I meet to be unpersonalized whenever its possible Plus it depends what the item is. Action figures, CDs and dvds I usually prefer to be unpersonalized. Also if its a poster or photo that I hope to get signed by more than one person then I wouldn't want that personalized because 1. It saves on space so more people can sign it 2. I think it looks a mess to have the guests personalize when more than on celebrity has signed Also if I have an unpersonalized photo it means that theres the possibility of giving it away as a gift. I've done this a couple of times with autographs I got from Alyson Hannigan, Amber Benson and Kim Cattrall
  5. But it means that they can get through more people so more fans leave happy I'm a HUGE Eliza Dushku fan and I met her at an event last year. It would've meant the world to me to have my photo taken with her but she wasn't posing. I was highly disappointed but at least I got to meet her I don't think its just about getting through more people to make more money. I'm sure its also about meeting as many fans as possible but was she not doing and charging for photo sessions????? NO, not at the event I went to
  6. I totally agree with you if the guest isn't busy, you should be allowed a photo. But if the guest is very busy, and I think everyone has agreed that Charisma will be extremely busy, then its understandable, although abit disappointing, if they don't pose for photos. Also as people have pointed out, Charisma has unfortunately had problems with fans before which must be very unnerving. Hopefully she knows that we're not all like that
  7. If I wait around all day and don't get to meet that celebrity because they were posing for photos/ personalizing and not getting through as many fans then I'd be highly disappointed. I'd rather go away with an autograph than nothing at all Charisma is a big guest to the Buffy and Angel fans going to LFCC so she will be busy, probably the same as James at Collectormania. If you get up early and queue for hours to meet a person surely you'd rather go away with just an autograph rather than no autograph, no photo, no personalization Don't get me wrong, I think posed for photos should be allowed but if a celebrity is really busy I understand them not posing. As said before, it means more fan get to meet that celebrity so more people go away happy knowing they've met that person, even though they might be slightly disappointed they didn't get a photo
  8. Charisma. Shes my main reason for going I'm hoping I'll also have enough time and money to meet Sarah and Xander too
  9. But it means that they can get through more people so more fans leave happy I'm a HUGE Eliza Dushku fan and I met her at an event last year. 10. I've got it in my head that I've read somewhere that Charisma will be signing both days but maybe Showmasters can confirm the day(s) Charisma will be signing? I think most people are assuming that Charisma won't be posing for photos because she'll be very busy
  11. Personally I doubt that Charisma will be posing for photos. It would be great to have a photo with her and I know my friend will be REALLY disappointed if there are no posed for photos but I really can't see it happening. I have a feeling things with Charisma will be similar to Eliza Dushku at another event in April last year. She was very busy all day and wasn't posing for photos
  12. Good on you - i know how debilatating this can be and very few people appreciate the scale of it and the degree to which it affects your life. A great achievement and not just the auto. - Your perseverence paid off. Sarah Thanks. It really was a big deal for me but I'm so glad I did it. Think my Alyson Hannigan autograph will always be one of my most special but Amber Benson comes a close second
  13. So you're going on the Saturday Nic? -Your birthday buddy whos 20 years younger
  14. charisma has said in the past she doesnt like charging fans for her autograph. but she'll have to..she's not gonna sit there for hours, for free also she personlises all auto's so they cant be sold on Alot of people, espacially dealers, know how to remove personalizations from signed items I have no problem playing for a personalises autograph but I usually try and get 2 photos from each person I meet, one personalised and one unpersonalised. Not because I plan on selling them just because as a fan (and an autograph collector) thats what I prefer
  15. Probably Alyson Hannigan. At the time I met her I was still having panic attacks when I had to go out the house for a long time. Me and my mum went on the coach to London and waited outside the theatre for 3 hours in the cold. It was a long day and it was a hard day for me to get through. Plus I know a lot of people who unfortunately didn't get to meet Alyson while she was in London so I feel very lucky that I did meet her
  16. Personally I prefer photos of me and a celebrity to be unsigned. One event organiser aims to get the celebrity to sign your photo (free of charge) before its given back to you. I'm ok with that because its an added bonus if it does come back signed, it hasn't cost me any extra I certainly wouldn't pay extra to have a celebrity sign a photo of me and them. And I wouldn't pay more than £15 tops to have my photo taken with a celebrity
  17. I don't really consider LFCC/ Collectormania to be 'conventions'. To me they are signings. As others have said both events taking place that weekend are totally different. I've been to conventions and signings and personally I prefer conventions. Yes, with hotels, they work out a bit more expensive but you have a great weekend. I spent £200 in one day at Collectormania yet the first convention I went to, including hotel, ticket, autographs, photos and food for the weekend I only spent around £350 and that was a whole weekend and not just one day It appears that you're having a dig at the other organiser by saying they should've booked those guests and shouldn't be having the event the same weekend as LFCC but the dates for the other event were announced mid to late 2004 so people have known with plenty of advanced time when the event will take place so I don't think you should be appearing to blame the organiser As you've pointed out conventions can work out alot more expensive than day signings but you have to take into consideration that you are at a convention for 3 days and have unlimted access to guest talks and evening parties. I'm not disrepecting Showmasters events but at conventions you DO see alot more of the guests over the weekend. For example at Collectormania I saw from a distance Alexis while I was in the queue for about 10 minutes and then got to spent around a minute chatting while he signed my photo but I did feel very rushed. Two years ago I saw Alexis at a convention (by the same organiser as the event the weekend of LFCC). I saw him at the opening ceremony, during the guest talks, walking around the hotel, during the autograph session and also when I had my photo taken with him I think its unfair to say you don't get value for money at the other event. I think LFCC and the other event both offer value for money. Since I live in the north west, if I wasn't already in London that weekend, I'd have to pay for travel and book myself into a hotel over night, add to that the LFCC entery fee and cost of autographs and it'd near equal my budget for the convention. Since I am already in London that weekend its possible for me to go across to LFCC at little extra cost. Showmasters won't be missing out on money from me just because I'm at another event the same weekend. If anything that event has made it more possible and convinent for me to go to LFCC
  18. From my (and my friends) experience of meeting Julie Benz the words 'pleasant and professional' would be the last that come to mind. Shes my biggest disappointment by far Nick Brendon was ok. I met him at a non Showmasters event and he seemed nice. He was smiley and friendly during the photo session and shook hands. He was nice during the autograph session too. He didn't look up much but he did smile and say hi
  19. ERM Eliza is way sexier. DO NOT MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN
  20. And she VERY rarely replies to fan mail. 9.9 times out of 10 you'll only receive a pre printed autograph if you write to Charisma
  21. Me, I wouldn't I don't know. Spike just didn't do anything for me
  22. I was going to say season 5 Tara but she got her mind sucked by Glory which couldn't of been fun so then I was going to say season 6 Tara but the poor love died so I decided I wouldn't be Tara I'm going to say season 5/ 6 Willow. I didn't like Willow with Oz so that would be a distant memory to me and I would be enjoying my time with Tara. OK so I have to deal with the loss of my girlfriend and I nearly destroy the world but I come through it with the help and support of my friends. Now coming up in season 7 I'm suppose to get together with some skanky potential but I deal with that when it comes round
  23. That's the main reason why I've always thought a Faith spin-off could work. Her popularity is up there with Spike and Willow, but unlike their characters who had their stories told through seven seasons, Faith's story has yet to be told. Faith was such a complex, intriguing and likable character yet there was so much the audience never knew about her. Plus who wouldn't watch a Faith spin-off? The guys fancy her and the girls want to be her...or maybe thats just people I know
