  1. i had a post-it with my name on to meet nic brenden last year, so have a personalised one from him, even though i spent less time with him than i did with ASH and james marsters (i know he has his own reasons). I blame JCB!
  2. what i meant in my post was that i can't see that the queue would really begin to move any slower just because the guest personalised. i do completely understand about the no posed pics (annoying as it is!) but to have non personalised ones does seem at bit much. what exactly am i paying for!?
  3. in the space of time it takes a guest to say hey, how are you, they could write my name and their autograph. simple. for 20 quid, i dont think this is an unreasonable expectation!
  4. i too wish to add my appreciation of kali! spoke to her at the party and she was so nice that i went to see her on sunday, even though i had no intention of doing so before collectormania!
  5. milton keynes isn't central for me! i live in manchester - birmingham would be much better as it's nearer me (!) and public transport connections are so much better (for everyone i would think). plus, in milton keynes all those roundabouts make me dizzy oh, and i never thought i could feel such rage and hatred towards people with push chairs like i did on sunday!
  6. yes, i wasnt that excited about seeing him, but i went when he had an open queue on sat. he was so friendly and chatty as there was no one else waiting for him (even if certain crew members kept trying to make me and my friend leave). we even got a semi-posed photo out of him!
  7. the thing is, if showmasters are going to charge 20 quid to walk up to james masters, smile and be herded off, i think the least they could provide is some more professional members of staff. there is no reason why i should be 'thankful' that people have volunteered - without volunteers the event would still be running, but showmasters may may make lower profits. i think the rudeness of some members of staff was unnacceptable, in an otherwise fantastic weekend
  8. kali rocha was lettting people come see her just for photographs but the showmasters crew started stopping people doing this as it was getting too busy or something. how busy kali rocha is ever going to be is open to debate!
  9. i have to say, that i found the showmasters lady running the ASH queue really rude too! i understand that lots of people want autographs but if i am paying good money i at least want to be treated with a bit of respect rather than as an inconvenience!
  10. my 2 cents! i think that collectormania is great primarily because it's free! i am only really interested in buffy people - most buffy conventions are prohibitably expensive! at collectormania, i can meet various guests and see other stars who, though i wouldnt buy their autograph, are quite fun to say you saw (the tiny-ness of mini me at c6!) also, about getting lots of guests from only a few shows - like dr who and star wars. i think that a lot of people, myself admittedly included, have specialised interests and would only make the journey to collectormania if there were enough guests from their favourite show that they wanted to see, not so much lots of random people. well, that got long. hopefully it made sense! see y'all in the james marsters queue on sunday!
  11. hey, would like to add my 2 cents, as they say! i went for the first time last year to see nick brenden and other buffy peeps (this may not be so much of an issue as showmasters are thinking of posting a map-type-thing). got there in the evening the day before (saturday) so i managed to check out where people were signing. i found that while i was q ing outside the next morning people were pretty savvy - the peeps that wanted to see carrie fisher were in one q and everyone else was in another(so if u cant get there the evening before, friendly people will be able to point you in the right direction!). if u really want to see someone, get there about an hour before the centre opens and i recon you are pretty much guaranteed a meet! if it's a big ol' star like saun astin off of LOTR then get there early, but nick brenden had a free q by the afternoon when i was there, and i thought he would be super busy as a main buffy guy! the random shoppers are just that - random! hope this is of some help
  12. i personally think that if i am giving away my hard earned money to people, i want a better level of service than i recieved when booking my tickets. also, surely these events require a high level of organisation. there is no great level of confidence inspired within me. despite this, i am greatly looking forward to this event, especially meeting the buffy crew! grace
