Anyone else see Michale Palin on Friday I went to Collectormania and got George and Jewels Autographs and then had a wander round the shops for a while Michael Palin was sitting in WHSmiths signing his latest travel book Which was on sale for £10 so i got it and an Autograph + Photo for £10 Absolute Bargain as buy his travel books anyway did anyone else see him he was only signing Saturday could have easily been a Collectormania Guest seemed real nice bloke as he does on the TV

Any advance news for the next one ? guests etc the web-site still has July Details on anyone know when next one is ?

Sorry if ive missed this discussed elsewhere but not been on here a while anyway where are they doing the photoshoots are they a bit private or with the whole shopping centre able to watch and take pics personally i find MK events much to crowded and too many people just loitering about if this is your first event goto a London one sometime they are proper events for the fans, with only the fans there, loads better

Surely a Reunion is a load of starts from the same film I had been trying to guess the main film reunion for ages and then it turns out to be a mish mash of starts from different films thats a Bond Stars Get together in my book not a Reunion anyway as others have said no major new guests anyway how about a Bond Con ? as there ever been such a thing ?

As its the 40th Anniversary of Star Trek this year how about loads of Star Trek guests not the Stng ones that have been a few times such as Data, Worf, Troi etc but some new ones from DS9 & Voyager Nichole De Boer (Ezri) would be great or Jadzia Dax, Kira, Odo, Avery Brookes etc etc from DS9 Robert Picardo and any Voyager ones Patrick Stewart ? Gates Mcfadden, Colm Meaney lets see Showmasters celebrate it in style sorry for the mx of cast names and real names not sure of spellings leave the Bond Reunion until another year

How About some more Guests just to make the site look good Its the 40th Anniversary of Star Trek this year How about Nichole De Boer and other DS9 guests or some Voyager ones or Patrick Stewart

Thanks just wondered as theres always a chance of ending up in photos some people might really object to this for example the latest flyer for CM10 which has mostly pictures of the public on it

Personally though more Trek, how about Patrick Stewart + Jessica Alba, Jenifer Connolly, Elisha Cuthbert, Anetta Keys, Liv Tyler, Neve Campbell and Jennifer Love Hewitt spring to mind not much hope on most of them though

How much of a Bond Cast Reunion will it be anyway I`m assuming they mean one film else its not a cast reunion and its pretty guaranteed the biggest stars won`t be there unless its the George Lazenby one as he has done these sort of events in which case I`m assuming it will be the girls / villains henchmen etc from one of the films would think Spy who Loved me quite likely as Jaws, Blanche Revalac and Carloyn Munroe do these type of events so they can call it a reunion with just those 3

If you have a photo of yourself taken by showmasters with a guest or just a cloe up of you in a crowd type scene which is then posted on the Showmasters sites or printed on leaflets which showmasters are therefore using photos of you for financial gain for themselves as you are helping publicise it what are the rules obviously the stars are being paid and probably have it on their contracts that they allow photos to beon sites etc but the public have signed nothing so how do they stand in this event if a photo of me was on the showmasters website or promotional leaflet for example could i ask for it be removed not aware that any are but just wondering

Couldn`t make Sunday myself but was there anything good at the auction I thought things were on display somewhere but never noticed them

I was toalking about JCB by the way Lisa looked nice and had open empty queue so you should get chance for a chat

I noticed she had no fans as well Revenge for shatner I can see why she gets picked to play aliens saves a fortune for the film companies on make up Didn`t see Pat but watched her for a while trying to work out where i recognised her from I couldn`t recall what trek she was in and never really got into Babylon 5 in the same way she appeared to be really friendly and got up for photos etc so you should have a good visit with her

They looked reasonably busy cannot see the appeal of seeing them myself Lost Boys was ages ago and it wasn`t that great a film but each to their own

+ all the people in the photos they must be stars if they are on the promotional flyer wasn`t the guy with glasses in the top right picture in a crowd scene in Deep Space 9, Didn`t the lady in the white top in bottom right play an Alien in Doctor Who recently ? Bet you have all looked, only kidding although they might have done If you can`t find pics to put on the flyer don`t put pics of the public instead just don`t print one, (like lack of a GMex2 one) it doesn`t inspire me to go at all is there any rules on using pics of the public on promotional material do they get paid

Why do the crew hang onto the tickets so long surely they can give them out at 8 so big queues don`t develop round everyone if you give the tickets out the crowd disperses its not rocket science this would then save other crew going round telling people to move / keep aisle free etc some tickets were given out early, i was at costa end in the queue when people were coming over from the other side with tickets already for stars over there if i had wanted some autographs from over the other side as well this would have been really annoying and probably was for some of you also why was Door 14 not opened at 9 this was supposed to be the door for Costa stars yet i ended up queuing behind people who got in doors round the other side and had had time to walk over to costa end while i stood outside which was slightly annoying but lucky for me i only had 1 autograph to get and got an early number anyway for Jenny but it had potential to be a disaster and if it was for a major star it could have meant me getting a ticket in the several 100`s even though i was early, at the right door and nearer to the signing booths

Only seeing 3 stars this year so thats me finished my visits all three were really nice, talkative and I have excellent photos with all of them but have to put them in order Jenny Agutter - Really Lovely, No rush, You can count on the Brits to be Civil even though shes now a bit older than the films i liked her in, she`s still really nice Equally friendly but had to put Jenny First

Message for Daddy Dalek you know who you are surely you could have got your wife to look after the children isn`t there a creche at MK instead of them walking round with you spoilt the illusion and worst of all Daddy Dalek was seen climbing in to his outer shell in front of a large group of people, Shame on you Even the other dalek was protesting and saying "The illusion is broken for ever" Don`t do it again ! Otherwise keep up the good work liked the glove puppet that the other dalek was using when he undid his top made a few young girls scream

yes monday should be quieter personally would recommend Fridays for a new visitor main advice Don`t get to carried away its an expensive hobby set your targets on series you are really really into if not treat yourself to dvd box sets in the sales in many of the mk shops etc much better value do you really want the person who played the alien in a one of Dr Who Episodes autograph ? or the autograph of the soldier who got killed first in some old film im sure regular goers will know what i mean not being negative but you can get caught up in events sometimes think before you do it do you really want the autograph ? decide your real wants and stick to it and you `ll get the same fun for less money

I didn`t actually notice any one from HP perhaps they are on tommorow i was only after the 2 trek guests myself so didn`t hang around as long as usual i`ve cut down my wants list as this hobby is to expensive once you buy one you want the rest from a series so sticking to the trek series and the odd other star here and there and any new series i am really really into which luckily so far is zero

didnt see him myself but dead easy to get to see had a cool leather jacket on heard one older gentleman say "i cant remember him being in Star Trek" Neither can I !

Yes would agree with above very quiet , quietest show ever at MK i think sales of autos will be well down this time theres no real crowd pullers if it wasn`t for my fellow trekkies and firefly fans this show would have been a disaster everyone appeared to have open Q`s LeVar Burton arrived late and his fee was raised to 20.00 cant see there being the usual mad queus tommorow i would think if you get there say 12-1 ish and get over the initial rush most will have open Q`s there is no real big pulls this time i would think Kate Mulgrew will be popular with my fellow trekkies Jonathan and Levar will probably have Q`s first thing as they did today but get there later and you`ll be fine enjoy some extra time in bed this time

My first was a Mk event as well and i have got more autographs here than elsewhere as i initially got carried away with meeting the different sides of the force but i have also ventured to the dark side and now know which is the best theres no contest MK is a shopping centre, shopping centres are for shopping its as simple as that there must be better locations in the locality ok we have had some big stars who i saw, but will they come back ? will they tell their celebrity friends what a great time they had ? i wouldn`t
