  1. I ordered my contacts on Wednesday and they came yesterday. Not had a chance to try them yet (been too busy :-( 1) The site that I originally found had sold out of the prescription ones in both red and black (totally gutted!) so I ended up getting a pair of red non-prescription ones for about £16. I only need a mask now too. Found one on eBay but my PayPal is playing up so I dont know if I can order it in time P.S 7 DAYS!!!!! Will near enough be one the train this time next week!!!
  2. Has anyone seen the new trailer for Torchwood: Children of Earth? Just watched it and I think we are all in for such a treat in June / July
  3. New 60 sec trailer for Torchwood series 3 will be shown from 9pm on Thursday 5th Feb on the Torchwood website. This is the same trailer being shown at New York ComicCon. Series 3 is gonna be amazing, I can just feel it. Although apparently, its not showing until June / July, which I am kinda miffed about. http://www.bbc.co.uk/torchwood/sites/news/...8_trailer.shtml
  4. Not too sure about Mickey joining Torchwood - at least not this new hardened Mickey. And wasnt he a bit of a computer geek in the Slitheen two-part episode in Series 1 (all those years ago!) when he logged onto the UNIT database and blew up Downing Street? Maybe he has honed his skills working for the Parallel Torchwood. Maybe I could get used to it. Would love Martha to join though. I think only she could replace Owen as the Torchwood medic - look how she was with the Hath in "The Doctor's Daughter". She can use them healing hands on any species. And that's what Torchwood needs, and she has the experience with aliens and she gets on with the boss!
  5. AMAZING EPISODE!!! Loving the betrayal by Dalek Caan!! Not expecting that at all! And the TARDIS dragging the Earth back into place - fantastic! And I agree about Mickey joining Torchwood - not too sure it's a smart move! Maybe the old Mickey but not the new, hardened Mickey. Didnt warm to him at all. WOW at all the old faces flying the TARDIS - emotional! Gutted at Donna having to leave - more so than she was about leaving the TARDIS
  6. I've read somewhere thet DT has signed on for Series 5 - I dont know how true that is. I also read that they are making three 2009 specials to give Tennant time to star in Hamlet, which means there's a good chance that he's going nowhere!! Personally, I think this regeneration could just repair the damage done by the Dalek and he will stay the same Doctor - although I could be wrong! Journey's End trailer will be shown on BBC on Sunday 29th June just before 1pm. It will then be uploaded to www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho
  7. Apparently the opening credits will feature "David Tennant, Catherine Tate, Freema Agyeman, John Barrowman, with Elisabeth Sladen and Billie Piper." Torchwood people can take a back seat It has changed again now to just David Tennant, Catherine Tate, Freema Agyeman, John Barrowman & Billie Piper There is an exculsive clip on the Doctor Who website. It's amazing and the last two episodes are going to round off a fantastic series with the most amazingly fantastic two parter ever made on TV
  8. Seen the 30 sec trailer for "The Stolen Earth" - OMG it looks amazing! Check out www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho There's also a 10 sec trailer of a new, yes NEW, Dalek!! All the guest stars - my head is spinning! The opening credits for "The Stolen Earth" will be packed - Tennant, Tate, Piper, Agyeman, Barrowman, Sladen, Clarke, Coduri, Myles, David-Lloyd. All of them are listed as companions on Wikipedia - which has been so accurate and up-to-date. A couple of celebrities will appear as themselves inc. Paul O'Grady LOL Turn Left was an another amazing episode!
  9. River Song whispered the Doctor's name in his ear, not "The Doctor" but his actual Gallifreyan name. Not even Rose knew that so that's how much he must trust her coz look how much he cared for Rose. Cant wait for the final 3 episodes of Doctor Who. They are gonna be amazing. All the old faces coming back: -Captain Jack -Martha Jones -Sarah Jane Smith -Jackie Tyler -Harriet Jones -Mickey Smith -And of course, ROSE!
  10. Have to say I am loving the new series!! The Library two-parter was particularly fantastic!!! Cant wait for the return of Rose Tyler and a certain classic Who Villain!! The Agatha Christie episode was amazing too! Hell its all been good and I'm guessing it's only going to get better!
  11. I have only crewed one event - but I absolutley enjoyed the fun out of it! Got to sit with Kai Owen for a bit (he was great!). I hope I get the chance to crew another!!
  12. I'm really looking forward to Collectormania Manchester 5,it will be only the second time i have been to one of these events and the first one was many years ago! Can you please tell me any of the people announced or rumoured to be there so far please? Also roughly what kind of price can i expect the tickets to be for the event?and do you buy them on line in advance? One more thing whats the going rate for autographs and pictures with celebs roughly?and what things can i expect on the day? I'm really new to the hobby and have started getting autographs TTM,so id appreciate you answering those questions if you can.Cheers Paul. I know Alan Ruck has definitely been announced. Im not sure if Dave Prowse is a rumour or is a certainty. I know he's been to most of the Manchester events so it could be a possibility. Prices for autos range from £10 - £25 depending on the guest. This is for the auto itself so you can have it on a personal item or one of the provided 8 x 10 photos. Photos with the guests are usually allowed but there are some cases where they arent eg if the guest has a photo shoot they sometimes dont allow photos at the signing table. Some guests do participate in photo shoots, tickets for which can either be purchased online or on the day of the event from the organisers booth. Admission tickets can either be bought online or on the day of the event (apart from Milton Keynes). Early bird tickets cost £10 (allow admission between 9-11am) Tickets after 11am are: £5 - adults £3 - children On the day itself, there are stalls from all sorts of vendors of prop replicas etc. The guests, obviously, and the chance to meet other fans with similar interests. And the chance to have a whole lot of fun and empty your bank acocunt!! Hope this answers your questions!! Chris
  13. Im confused with series 2 because of the writers strike! Has Season 2 been split in 2 so the first half is Season 2 and the second half Season 3? Any help would be appreciated!!
  14. Amazing - TORCHWOOD CONVENTION!! Guess I'll have to start saving soon!! Great idea! Well done everyone at SM Towers!
  15. I was shocked at the last episode of Torchwood! On the verge of a few tears. Was not expecting Tosh to be killed. Great that we got to see old Torchwood (1900's version) again. That woman is kinda scary!
  16. G-Mex 1 as my first ever event! Been G-Mex 3 and my first event crewing was G-Mex 4. Also managed to hitch a lift with a mate to C11 and I am gonna try and get to C13. Hope I get to crew another event in the future - it's just so much fun!
  17. I met 5 guests -Noah Gray-Cabey -Jimmy Jean-Louis -Marina Sirtis -Kai Owen -Anthony Head LOVED THEM ALL! Noah just seemed to be smiling all the time. Kai really seemed to enjoy his first event Was my 4th event but my first actually crewing! Waited til Sunday afternoon to meet the guests I went to see! I am glad so many guests cancelled - otherwise I would be severely bankrupt!
  18. Thank you everyone for making my first event so awesome! Hope to see you all again in the future! Chris
  19. I was sat with Kai (albeit for about 20 minutes!) and the group with the Jack and Ianto bears returned... with Rhys bear! His face beamed and he was so made up! He was so nice to talk to and such a great guy
