I hope vouchers for Bernard’s Diamond Pass will be issued before the event, as I can use them to purchase autographs at the show

I’m afraid both he and Bernard Cribbins have cancelled and are not able to attend this weekend. Showmasters have just sent an email to attendees

He’s attending on Sunday, so I’d imagine it’ll be a fairly quieter day than Saturday anyway. I just hope I’m able to get a VQ or just join the queue to get my steelbooks signed

Black on dark background is a very bad idea. I remember meeting Jamie Foreman (Derek Branning in EastEnders) in Birmingham a few years back, and the picture I chose for signing was fairly dark and unfortunately he used a black sharpie. You had to really squint to see what you paid for lol

Masks are no longer legal requirement anywhere, but are advised in certain places. Which means you can still wear one if you so choose. Unless Showmasters specifically announce before next weekend, that they will enforce it (which they can’t anyway, only advise!), then nobody is legally required to or even be forced to wear a mask. The last two Comic Con events at Olympia were fine, masks weren’t required, it’s down to the attendee to decide whether or not they want to wear one. It all comes down to personal choice and nobody should be judged for it :-)

Not a bad price for a DP, but unfortunately not everybody is able to get one :-( Also the last couple of times he was due to attend, he cancelled due to feeling unwell, which is understandable at 93 years old

The spring event on this year, was my first “major” con since Spring 2020 (for obvious reasons), so this summer’s event is my second. I was meeting Elizabeth Mitchell and Robbie Coltrane, but my list now stands as this, as they cancelled: Saturday Alex Kingston (Diamond Pass) Zoe Wanamaker (Photo & Autos) Alfred Enoch (Photo & Auto) David Bradley (Autos) Sunday Bernard Cribbins (Diamond Pass) Patrick O’Kane (Photo & Auto) Eric Roberts (Photo) Arthur Darvill (Autos) Most of my autographs (apart from 1, Alfred Enoch) are for my Blu-ray Steelbooks Hopefully the new air con system that’s been installed at Olympia is fully operational that weekend…!

Is anybody aware of any guidance regarding the maximum autograph purchases per guest, diamond or not?

You’ve got more luck of finding a billion pound cash under a tree than getting a result from Showmasters

As great as Showmasters Events are, their ethics are questionable and their pre-order/ send-in services are not to be trusted and I personally wouldn’t use it again, instead I prefer to attend the events myself where I know the item will be signed…

Yes, I do feel that too. As he’s attending on Sunday, which is usually less busy, he may well be easier to get

Met him once a few years ago in Birmingham, such a down to earth person, sounds cliche but it’s genuinely true. I’m really wanting to get my Series 5, 6 & 7 steelbooks signed, but I fear as he’ll be a popular guest, I won’t have much luck with a VQ ticket. I guess I shall see on the day

Ah I see. VQ tickets are not much of guarantee, especially with big guests like Alex. So I may well purchase a DP for Sunday

It has been announced that Jodie Whittaker is expecting her second child with husband Christian Contreras. The news was revealed by Jodie on the red carpet while attending the Brit Awards 2022. The couple were married in 2008 and already share a daughter together, who was born in 2015. Sending huge congratulations to Jodie and Christian on this wonderful news! :-)

I’m certain there is something amiss here with your issue, as you’ve paid for items that you haven’t received and you have proof of postage to prove it was sent. Also, if the tracking number shows that the item/items have been delivered, then they can’t blame Royal Mail. So I’m sure in this case you have every right to pursue it further, in a way of seeking legal advice. I hope you manage to resolve this one way or another. Hopefully the refund I was issued turns up ok…

I’ve complained everywhere I can and I have been issued a refund. Matter resolved, persistence pays off :-)

I’m WELL within my rights to post what I like, as you are within YOUR rights by removing posts because you don’t like them. It was generally how I felt at the time, this company has gone waaaaaaay down hill

I’m really wanting to purchase a pass for Jodie, but not able to until payday on Friday. Does anybody know how many passes are in a batch? I’ve looked in the shop and they’re on the last 3-4 batches and wondered what the likelihood of them being available by the end of next week is?

Has it been changed at the last minute then? Because originally I had a pre-order autograph (send in) for Anjili when she was attending in November. But I was able to send the photo in, a couple of days before the deadline for the September event, thinking it was this year. It wasn’t until after the photo arrived with them, that the change has happened

Was Comic Con B’Ham September this year or next? I sent in a photo to be signed by Anjili Mohindra (as I have pre-ordered) but after sending the photo in before the cut-off date, I’ve seen in the forums it says 2021, but on the main page it says 2022. I’ve contacted Showmasters about either a refund or to have the photo sent back, but I’ve only received a basic reply on social media saying to contact Pre-Orders, but after waiting nearly a week, I’ve not heard a single thing from anyone!

It says at the top of the page, that she has been moved though? I’ve reached out to Showmasters, but no reply as of yet

I have pre-ordered an autograph for Anjili Mohindra for when she was attending LFCC in November. However, as she has moved to Birmingham Comic Con in September, do I just send my item in, with the new event date/label, or request a refund? My original order for LFCC consisted of Anjili and Sacha Dhawan. As Sacha is still attending LFCC and Anjili isn’t, what’s the best way to proceed? cheers :-)
